I have hyperactive adrenal glands. A friend told me that taking Eglonyl would help. My wife takes this as an anti depressant so it would be easy for me to trial it, I'm just weary of adverse effects. Any tips ?? ## Eglonyl contains the active ingredient Sulpiride. It is an antipsychotic mediation that is also used to treat other mental health disorders, such as depression. Common side effects may include: nausea, drowsiness, weight gain and sedation. In my opinion I think I would be ok to trial it, given the low count of adverse effects. But for the long term I would definitely suggest consulting a doctor about it to see if this medication is the best option for your condition. Estrogens or Oestrogens (spellings in American English and British English usage respectively), are a group of compounds named for their importance in both menstrual and estrous reproductive cycles. They are the primary female sex hormones. Natural estrogens are steroid hormones, while some synthetic ones are non-steroidal. The name comes from the Greek οστρος (oistros), literally meaning "gadfly" but figuratively sexual passion or desire,[1] and the suffix -gen,...

Healthy Woman Soy Menopause Soy Isoflavones

Isoflavones are substituted derivatives of isoflavone, a type of naturally occurring isoflavonoids,[1] many of which act as phytoestrogens in mammals.[2] Isoflavones are produced almost exclusively by the members of the bean family, Fabaceae (Leguminosae). Although isoflavones and closely related phytoestrogens are sold as dietary supplements, there is little scientific evidence for either the safety of long-term supplementation or of health benefits from these...

I have hot flashes after every 15 min, be it day time or at night. I can't sleep but am very tired of this. It has been going on for over 8 years. ## Hello, Mary! How are you? I'm sorry about the problem you're having, I know how annoying that can be. As listed by the NIH, such an issue could be caused by starting menopause, being post menopausal or by taking certain medications. How old are you? Are you on any medications? Have you consulted your doctor?

Having been experimented with and suffered daily side effects of many other drugs to deal with fibromyalgia and related pain disorders; I am reluctant after reading the others reports of increased insomnia, severe sweats, nausea to the point of vomiting, not to mention increased blood pressure and heart attack risks. I have got to be my own best advocate and exercise caution. This is a relatively new drug on the market and notice that it is being recalled in Europe. Would like to hear others thoughts on this subject. ## Laurie. I too am a Fibro/CFS patient of 22 yrs, and have tried practically 'everything' under the sun. I was given samples of Savella, in a packet from my doctor. I brought it home, and proceeded to read EVERYTHING I could find on this med. I am very sensitive to...

Governor Kasich is proposing a 5 year transition plan that is forcing Medicaid patients to go with Health Care Agencies. First with agencies you don't have access to workers background checks, their addresses even! Yet they come into your home to care for the most disabled. Independent workers: You have their personal information and they answer to YOU. When agency workers are fired and choose to harass patients for it, you have their name and address for the police. Not so with agencies. WHY is there a push towards agencies in Ohio? There is no VALID reason. Not for us to know. They say there are more independent workers who defraud but we've had 2 great independent nurses who are angels but aides from agencies we've had to fire one after another. They've lied, cheated ...

Can I take diet supplements while I'm taking mental health meds such as latuda, buspirone, doxepin and aripiprazole? ## Hello, Bobby! How are you? It really depends on what supplements you want to take, some are safe, according to FDA reports, and some are not. Can you please post back with more details? The NIH warns that some supplements can cause a possibly dangerous condition called Serotonin Syndrome, when mixed with some supplements and herbal products, this condition has been known to be fatal, in some cases. ## Oh please talk to your doctor. Those are some heavy duty meds and any supplements that affect dopamine will probably be problematic.

Is it a mandatory law that in OK. You have to see a mental health DR. before receiving XANAX ## Hi Shelia, I'm on Klonopin and I don't c a mental health Dr. They r both in the category of benzodiazepines. Maybe it's different from state 2 state. But, up here in RI, me and others I know, get them through a PCP. ## It might be harder to obtain in your State or even your County, City, Municipality or Parish. What is a Parish anyway? You can always try to go out of state although many family doctors are still allowed to prescribe Xanax, at least for short term use? ## Hello, Shelia! How are you? It is a new regulation that was put in place last year in the U.S. Any new patients needing such medications on a long-term ongoing basis will need to see a specialist. PCPs are no longe...

I just wanted to take a minute to introduce myself on these forums. My name is Dan and I'm a social worker and I do mental health research. One of the issues that I see come up time and time again, but that is rarely openly discussed in my field, are the positive and negative effects antidepressants can have on sexual health. It's an area I'm researching more now, but am hopeful to converse about the topic here in an effort to learn more myself and to hopefully share some of my research/knowledge/projects too. ## You are welcome on this site, but anti depressants are not good. They've caused more problems than just sexual health. Just like all meds that the government thinks they have to regulate these should be. Instead they think the answer is to let them control what ...

I'm 40 y/o now. My Gynecologist prescribed me with conzace cap H3O. I had my surgery for endemetriosis and mioma last June 3, 2008. What are the good and bad side effects of Conzace cap H3O? ## I was unable to find any information regarding Conzace, since it is not manufactured in the US. They are made in the Philippines, and are vitamins used a dietary supplements, and not drugs. Since these are vitamins, it is hard to determine the side effects. Everyone reacts differently to vitamins, I personally had a bad experience with to much B12. Your medication contains vitamin A, Vitamin E, Vitamin C, and Zinc Sulfate. Please post back if you have any more information to add so I can further assist you. ## Can this vitamin make menstruation irregular?

My husband has been on lyrica almost two years. We thought it was wonderful as it let him live without pain.I did notice he couldn't find his words more and more frequently and his eye sight was getting worse but thought it all was due to age. Then about two weeks ago he became very confused and can't find things. The doc says he has altered mental status but not alzhiemers as it happened too fast. He has not had a stroke and has had many tests which showed him to be healthy. I am sure now that it is the lyrica. How long will the side effects last, does any body know. We see the doc tomorrow. I have cut back his dose but am afraid to stop it altogether till I see the doc. This has been a horrible experience for both of us. ## While I was taking this I could not go anywhere by mysel...

Folwise was prescribed by our doctor for both me and my husband. Based on the picture, it looks like it is supposed to be taken only by women. Can men have Folwise ## Folwise is nothing more than a Folic Acid supplement, it is a nutrient that is important to the health of both men and women. Women need more, when they are pregnant, but it is not specific to just women. Is there anything else I can help with?

For the last 2 months my husband has been getting tired, weaker and short winded. We have been to all our Neph. Drs. and till today they would not tell us a thing. When they found out we were going to a gastronoglist today he was told to have his hemo and epogen levels checked because the gov. was making them cut back on the drugs and type of care he is getting as a "medicare cost savings" 'their hands are tied' when a dialysis patient dies of heart failure or body shut down there is no way to check for this cut back. I say who are they to decide what quality of life kidney patients get????? The last time I checked we were still living in a FREE LAND not a dictatorship or communist regiem! let your Congress men and women know we won't stand for this!!! They can cut t...
