Meloxicam No Expiration Date

I have meloxicam that expired in 2013, is it safe to take??? ## Hello, Linda! How are you? Medications start to lose effectiveness once expired, so the best thing to do would be to dispose of it and see your doctor for a new prescription, if you still require this medication. The FDA listed the typical side effects of this NSAID as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased risk of bleeding and stomach irritation. Is there anything else I can help with?

Meloxicam 7.5mg expired 10/13 is it ok to take. Thank you ## Hi Babe! Medications can b expired for years and still b safe 2 take. They may lose their potency, but r safe. ## @Babe, "Most" medications (aside from tetracycline) are still considered safe to take even up to 15 years beyond the expiration date. Harvard Medical School wrote an article about this too, discussing how the US military drew that conclusion after examining stockpiles of old medication. They didn't list the names of any particular drugs, so unfortunately I don't know which medications were used in the study. However, I'd imagine something like Meloxicam with proposed analgesic and fever reducing effects, to be a drug of interest upon making such claims. Would you say was it stored properly all t...

I have 3 bottles of Meloxicam that have never been opened. They expired in 2016 and January 2017. Are they still good? ## Are they in pharmacy dispensed bottles, or the original factory sealed bottles? When they are place in a pharmacy sealed bottle, they are usually good for one year from the date you receive them, according to FDA directions, though while recently talking to a doctor about it, she informed me that the U.S. is the only country that requires an expiration date, most of them are good for many, many years. If they are in the original factory sealed containers, they are usually good for 4 to 5 years, under FDA law. ## My meloxicam is one year old and I have a diayanos of trigger finger on left thumb. It is becoming sore and stiff again I found a bottle of 15 mg tablets yes...

I'd bought Meloxicam 7.5mg on Dec.15-2014. I would like to know if there is no harm to use it now? Thanks for any help. My concern is to know the expiration date of pills sold in 2014. ## Sorry to not reply from since because I'm not in good shape. I'm not in good shape and I'm in hospitals and laboratories every day of the week. I saw my family doctor and prescriber of Meloxicam. He preferred to give me another prescription without explanation. My advice is to see the doctor. Thank you for your help and sorry for not being useful to others. DEDE ## Hello Dede, Sorry tell you but I don't have the answer to your question but I can provide you with some information on how you can get the answer. expired 6 months past expiration date Meloxicam ## If you're thinking about taking it, the Meloxicam should still be fine. According to a Harvard Medical School family health article, except in rare cases (i.e. tetracycline), there is little chance of danger due to taking medications even up to 15 years beyond their expiration date. More specific details on that article can be found here: health.harvard.edu/fhg/updates/update1103a.shtml I hope this info helps!

What happens if you taken M Cam7,5mg after the expiry date. ## Hello, Melanie! How are you? Meloxicam is classified as a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory that's used to treat pain, fever and swelling. Its typical side effects, as listed by the U.S. FDA may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, increased risk of bleeding and stomach irritation. It doesn't become dangerous after the expiration, but it does start to lose effectiveness. The best thing to do would be to dispose of them and see your doctor for a new prescription. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Can it be used on sore heel?

how long can you store these in your medicine closet before it is not safe to take them? ## Hello, Basil! How are you? If you are asking about a bathroom medicine chest, they should not be stored there, at all. They should be stored somewhere dark, cool and dry, like a kitchen cabinet or other closet that is away from heat, light and moisture. And they should not be kept past the expiration date on the bottle. All tablets eventually degrade and lost effectiveness. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Will prednisone help my sinus post nasel driping down my throat? ## In reading other posts it states it's okay to take medications past their expiration date. That some have a shelf life of over 15 years so why the change of heart to this response? ## Why do you keep saying that t...
