I take 15 mg Meloxicam once a day. It is helpful relieving pain for about 12 hours. Can I cut the pill in half and try taking them every 12 hours? ## Just started taking Meloxicam 3 days ago. I have heard that prolonged used of Meloxicam 7.5 can cause liver problems...is this so? and how long is prolonged use?? I take 7.5 mg. my hands still hurt and are swollen. 2nd day to take them. I am taking this for extreme pain in my shoulder & arm. How long does it take for this to take affect? Will I have to keep taking it to be able to work? My right arm is still not as good as my left arm.
