I've been prescribed 15mg of Meloxicam tablets and take it every morning after breakfast but I've run out. Can I take 2x 7.5mg tablets instead? Also, is there a difference between the capsules and tablets? ## Yes, you can double up on the others, unless your doctor instructs otherwise. I am prescribed 15mg of mobic daily I accidentally took another one today the first one was at 0800 am and then I messed up and took one at 6:15 pm. Should I be concerned and should I skip my dose in the morning. I have taking this pill for a few years. ## Hello, Rodney! How are you? Did you experience any adverse affects? You should always inform your doctor of such an occurrence, to be safe, though doing so once it's usually considered a major issue. I"m a 70 year old female. Very active. Runner, short triathlons, lift weights and otherwise have a very active (hard working) lifestyle. I have been taking 15mg. Meloxicam tablet on average about two per week for about 6 years. Of course, I"m concerned about the side effects I"ve read about for long term use. Does taking them only two per week mitigate these side effects even if I"ve been taking them for a long period of time? ## Hello, Judy! How are you? There is still some slight risk, but most of what you read about are effects from daily long-term use, not occasional. That's why others, such as Ibuprofen are available over the counter. The most common include liver damage, stomach damage, increased risk of bleeding and stomach ulceration. Is there anything else I...

Meloxicam 15MG TAB (mee-LOX-i-kam) ## Hi, I know this is possibly the wrong thing to to, so this is certainly not meant as advice, just what I do. Both my partner and father also have bad knees. When my knees start playing up, I take 2 x 15mg so 30mg in total every day I am in pain / discomfort and always have done. It helps pain and allows me to have a better range of movement to manipulate if back in to the position it should be in order to be able to walk again. Hi. I took Meloxicam 15mg tablet for 14 days. it was a white round pill. Doc told me not to take Advil with it but I could take Tylenol. I took the last pill 48 hours ago. How long before I can take Advil? ## Hello, Pearl! How are you? The reason he told you not to take Advil with it is because both it and Meloxicam are nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory medications, so taking them together would be doubling up and raises the risk of possible liver damage and bleeding. However, only a few days are necessary between them to safely switch. None of them linger that long. Unless your doctor specifies otherwise. Is there anything else I can help with?
