I was introduced to this oral medication by an anesthetic to treat my freckles in addition to the laser toning. Please advise if this is a proven oral medication as i had read it seemed to b a recommended medication fir blood clots instrad of melasma. ## Hello, Susie! How are you? Yes, it is a medication that is used to help prevent or stop excessive bleeding, so it will do nothing to help with freckles. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache and blood clots. Is there anything else I can help with?

I have pigments (dark patches) on my cheeks and forehead. I've been suggested to take livogen with B Complex. Please advise if it's ok ## Those are only nutritional supplements and not likely to do anything to help with melasma. Melasma is usually caused by some type of underlying medical condition, such as a hormonal imbalance or immune disorder. Have you consulted your doctor? In order to solve the problem, you'll need to find out what's causing it to happen to begin with.

My daughter's periods doesn't stop. She was prescribed Pause MF by her gynec doc. Does it have any side effects? ## All medications carry the risk of causing side effects, even over the counter products. Pause MF contains the active ingredients Mefenamic Acid and Tranexamic Acid, the first treats menstrual pain and the latter is used to help slow or stop bleeding. Side effects may include nausea, dizziness, fatigue and melasma. You can learn more Mefenamic Acid details here and you can find more Tranexamic Acid details here. Her menorrhagia could be caused by a hormonal imbalance, it frequently happens with girls that are very young, since their bodies are still trying to balance things out for puberty. Did the doctor do any blood work to check?
