I got a bad toothaches and was prescript Pontalon Mefenamic Acid 250mg, the next day i went for tooth extraction and wasn't given any medicine so i assume i need the same medication. I went to the Dr 2 months back to ask about my period pains and my skin problem and he said my skin will be fine and prescribed the right medicine that doesn't have any side effects. It contains 250mgs of Mefloquine; which is used to prevent and treat malaria. Had there been no score line I would've thought this to be a generic Subutex tablet, since it shares the same imprint 54 411. But if you could double check the "4" to make sure it's not a "1" that would confirm whether or not Mefloquine is a prime suspect. Information and uses of Bevidan product (one six twelve) a potency for treatment of rheumatism, neuralgia, USP 2.50 ## Based on what information I have gathered, this is a foreign over the counter product advertised for the treatment of arthritic and neuropathic pain. Each capsule is supposed to contain 300mg of Monophosphoric Ester B1 vitamin, 200mg of Pyridoxine HCl and 250 mcg of Cyanocobalamin. In 2009 the Hong Kong Department of Health warned consumers not to buy or use the product Bevidan after it was found to contain undeclared prednisolone and mefenamic acid. [1] I am not sure if things have changed since then, whether the original manufacturer revised their formulation, etc, or if the product was simply pulled from the market. Does anyone else know? [1]
