I am an ankylosing spondylitis patient. I have been prescribed by a delhi doctor to have tablet DC Bone. However I reside in Kolkata and these tablets r not available here. I have been adviced by the chemist to have Calcimax Forte instead. Though it has the same components, can it be taken as a substitute for DC Bone Tablet. ## I can't find any information on a tablet under the name DC Bone. However, Calcimax Forte contains 1000mgs of Calcium Carbonate, 100mgs of Magnesium, 200i.u.s of Vitamin D and 4mgs of Zinc. So, as long as it meets or exceeds what is in the tablet the doctor recommended, then yes, it is fine to use it, instead. Are there any comments or questions?

I have been taking medicines for BP. The medicines is changed from one to another like Ramipril 5mg, Losarton Sodium 50mg, Telmisartan 40 mg, etc. I want to know is there any problem in changing the medicines or one should I stick with only one medicines. Please advise. ## Yes, you should find one that works for you, without causing a lot of side effects that make you miserable and stick with it. When you keep switching, your body doesn't have a chance to get used to any medication and for it to reach its full level of effectiveness. Additionally, stopping one abruptly to switch to another may cause a rebound effect, which means your blood pressure and heart rate can bounce back up, so you kind of negate any effect the medication may have had. What medication has your doctor recomme...

Can I take my suboxone with this medicine ## There can be a slight issue when taking the Suboxone with the Promethazine in the Phenergan, because they can both cause depression of the central nervous system and it may actually potentiate the Buprenorphine in the Suboxone and make it seem like you took a higher dose than usual. Learn more Promethazine details here. Learn more Dextromethorphan details here. Learn more Suboxone details here. So, the dosages of the medications should be carefully adjusted and you should be monitored regularly to watch for any problems. You should also be made aware of the necessity of watching for any danger signs on your own, such as shallow breathing, dizziness and extreme sedation. Have these all been prescribed for you?

I want to know the differnce between Stahist and Respa AR. I have taken Respa AR and have had excellent results. The pharmacy was out of Respa and gave me Stahist. (per the doctor of course). What is the difference? They both have the drying agent (which is very good) but they are differnt drugs. Are there different side-effects? ## Stahist contains Pseudoephedrine and Chlorcyclizine. Respa AR contains Pseduoephedrine and Chlorpheniramine. They both can be used to treat the same issues, and have very similar side effect profiles, which the FDA lists as possibly including nausea, headache, dry mouth, nervousness, and stomach pain. Ref: Pseudoephedrine Information, Chlorcyclizine Information, and Chlorpheniramine Information. Did the Stahist help you, at all?

This my third attempt for an answer. I have been on Mobic since April 2014. Also Lyrica increased from 300 to 600 daily since August2014.I've gained weight also have off and on ankle/feet swelling. Now for 2 weeks my calfs are aching. Is one or both meds the problem Help ## Hello, Marie! How are you? I am very sorry that it's taken several posts for you to get an answer. The Lyrica is the most likely culprit of the weight gain, it is well known to cause it as a side effect, along with nausea, dizziness, dry mouth and mood swings. As to the swelling, I'd have to say that is most likely from the Mobic, since nonsteroidal anti-inflammatories can cause the fluid retention that causes edema. Other side effects may include nausea, dizziness, headache, increased risk of bleeding an...

I only have a few left and I'm feeling desperate. ## There are some compounding pharmacies that have been making it, if your doctor orders it. Can you post back with, at least, your general location? Our site is open to users all over the world, so just as an example, I know of several compounding pharmacies here in the Seattle metro area, but that's really not going to help you if you're in Georgia. ## I live in New Jersey. A relative found a pharmacy that would make the compound, however, he wants over $130 for a thirty day supply! Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. ## I am afraid tha...

I am researching for my best friend. She is lactose intolerance and was told by her pharmatist to go on line to find drugs that are lactose free ## gynecologist ## Tell her to ask her pharmacist what pharmaceuticals he uses and then search each drug by that pharmaceutical. It should show what the inactive ingredients are. ## What medication has she been prescribed? Most tablets, or capsules will not contain enough to cause issues, according to NIH studies. The amounts in them are miniscule, so it would not be the same as drinking milk, or eating cheese. What types of issues does she experience from lactose?
