Medicine For Good Appetite

I have been taking Metformin for about 20 years. What I noticed when I begin to take it was my appetite was significantly decreased. I lost about 12 pounds, which was good. The last 5 years I've noticed I have a difficult time eating out because (1) the food taste too salty and (2) the portions are way too big. Whenever there is a lot of food on my plate my appetite goes away. In the past year I can eat a good breakfast and lunch but dinner is too much. My sister has the same appetite suppression issues I have. The only other time I have experienced these same issues is during my first pregnancy prior to onset of diabetes. I am finding that food is pretty disgusting but I can still eat, I just really don't want to... I started taking welbutrin 10 days ago and ever since then I haven't been able to eat. I didn't take it today to see what would happen and I'm still not hungry. Today is day #2 for me on Naltrexone. I’m taking this (50 mg) in order to eliminate my craving for alcohol. I wasn’t sure about side effects, but my Physician told me she didn’t know of any. I started taking Chantix last week. I have tried before over and over again to quit but to no prevail nothing seemed to work until now. From the moment I started taking Chantix it was almost like I didnt think about smoking for the 1st week I would have about 3 cig a day and going from a pack and half to two a day thats pretty darn good. I have now been on Contrave for 4 weeks and seeing great results. My appetite is really reduced and combining exercise and maintaining a calorie intake of around 1400-1600 I look to have lost 10 pounds my first month. It's been working but I have doubled the weight loss I would have had without it as my appetite is so much less. ## Awesome! I'm so glad that it's working well for you. Have you experienced any of the side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, nervousness and insomnia that the FDA lists? My son who is only one year of age was given by his pediatrician Mosegor vita w/ dosage of 2.5 ml since he has no appetite and skinny. My boyfriend was diagnosed with small cell carcinoma in August while in the hospital with pneumonia. Straight out of the hospital into radiation and chemo treatments in which he was unable to finish.
