Hi. Yah this is a cold-medicine pill. It's a generic brand of Musinex. It's an expectorant. The active ingredient is "guaifenesin" and it's 400 mg of that. ## That is correct, this is an over the counter dosage, which is used to treat the congestion associated with the common cold virus. Side effects may include: nausea, dizziness and nervousness. More details: Are there any questions or comments?

Hi my three year old son gets viral nd cold cough very frequently. dis time the duration was 20 days. he is now suffering frm viral again. his immunity is very weak. what should i do to increase his immunity. he is always on some or the other medicine. ## Frequent colds and such are normal for children, since they frequently put things in to their mouths and associate with other children that may be carrying it. There's really not much you can do to change it, except for being careful to not take him around sick people and to make sure to clean and sterilize his toys and such. Have you consulted his doctor to make sure something more serious isn't going on?

thick clear liquid in small glass bottle screw on lid needed heated taste of menthol possibly made in conn. or mass. state ## I am looking for a liquid form of Lees Save the Baby. You mix it with sugar to clear nostril congestion. in aduts and babies ## It was made by the Lee's company and yes, it is patent protected. The reason it is no longer available is that it contained Camphor, yes, even in the liquid that was taken internally and the FDA has recognized this as being unsafe. Camphor is now only approved to be used topically. As to the other ingredients, I am sorry, I have been unable to discover that. Does anyone else know where something similar can be found? ## Try this link: Bottle looks different from the one I remember, & the price is scandalous but the name & desc...

Can cold medicine be taken with Contrave like Sudafed or Contac? Are there any side effects by taking cold medicine with it? ## It really depends on the specific cold medication, they are many available over the counter in the U.S., so I couldn't possibly research them all for you. Which one is your normal preferred choice? Can you please post back and clarify? This information would enable me to research an answer to your question. Is Contac available in the U.S., again? I know it had been removed from the market here for a number of years. The FDA warns that Contrave may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, mood changes, and weight changes. ## Hello, Would Zzquil be okay to take with Contrave?

What kind of cold medicine is okay to take with the blood pressure medicine losartan? ## @Sunshine, For liability reasons, I think it's generally best to discuss this with your prescribing doctor or pharmacist. However you can always look up potential drug interactions via the University of Maryland Medical Center at: umm.edu/health/medical/drug-interaction-tool That webpage allows you to plug in specific drug names for an evaluation of their combined pharmacology and what/if any risk factors (or side effects) may be expected in certain scenarios. Sorry I couldn't give you more specific details, but if you have a medication in mind you can simply plug it into that drug interaction tool... Nevertheless, I'd still encourage you to double check with your medical provider(s) jus...

I take 50 mg Pristiq and have been doing so for about a year. I used to take OTC cold medicines to fight off a cold. My question is whether those with Dextromethorphan can be taken with Pristiq safely? ## Hello, My findings state that there are potentially unsafe interactions between Pristiq (desvenlafaxine) and Dextromethorphan. Quoted below are the precautions you should be aware of: "Talk to your doctor before using dextromethorphan together with desvenlafaxine. Combining these medications can increase the risk of a rare but serious condition called the serotonin syndrome, which may include symptoms such as confusion, hallucination, seizure, extreme changes in blood pressure, increased heart rate, fever, excessive sweating, shivering or shaking, blurred vision, muscle spasm or st...

Cold medicines are a group of medications taken individually or in combination as a treatment for the symptoms of the common cold and similar conditions of the upper respiratory tract. The term encompasses a broad array of drugs, including analgesics, antihistamines and decongestants, among many others. It also includes drugs which are marketed as cough suppressants or antitussives, but their effectiveness in reducing cough symptoms is unclear or minimal.[1][2]...

There are many out there, so I am unable to answer your question without knowing more details. Can you please post back and clarify? Thank you!. The FDA lists the typical side effects of Amoxicillin as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash, and diarrhea. How are your ears feeling? Is it ok if I take Nyquil while I'm taking XL3 pills for a cold ## Hello, SallyAnn! How are you? No, it would be best not to double up, because they both contain Acetaminophen and taking too much of it in a day can result in overdose toxicity, which has the potential to be fatal. They both also contain decongestants and cough suppressants, so there is no need for both of them. The FDA lists the typical side effects of these medications as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache and dry mouth. Is there anything else I can help with?

Can I also take Claritin D medicine with dimetapp cold and allergy together? ## Hi Anne, From what I could gather, there are no drug interactions listed between the active ingredients in Claritin-D (loratadine + pseudoephedrine) and Dimetapp Cold & Allergy (brompheniramine + phenylephrine). So with that said, you shouldn't experience any problems taking the two medications together. However, I would always recommend consulting with your doctor first before making any changes to your current regimen. This way if certain side effects do occur, he or she would at least be aware of the situation ahead of time. I hope this helps!

I'm sorry, but this website is an information resource only, no medications are prescribed. A cold is caused by a virus, so it needs to run its course and you can only treat some of the symptoms. There are many over the counter products available, if your doctor approves of your using them. Are there any other questions or concerns?

As I am suffering from cold, running nose, sneezing I took 2 spoons of brandy for 3 days continously in the night times. But my cold has not reduced. So please suggest me some good tablest to reduce cold. Also how many times should I take cetzine tablet in a day and so far there is no relief from cold. ## Colds are generally self-limiting and you don't need to take anything for them. If it lasts more than a few days, it may be allergies or a sinus infection, and you should check with your health care provider. ## Puzzled is correct. I'm also not sure what you thought Brandy was going to do. A cold is caused by a virus and there are some products that can be used to help alleviate the symptoms, but that's about as good as it gets. Have you consulted your doctor?

what cold medicine is safe to take with this pill? ## There isn't a list of medications I can give you that are said to be safe to take with it. The way it usually works is that you check the medication you want to take, against this one for possible interactions. Learn more Augmentin details here. Can you post back with the name of the cold medication you normally take? If so, I will gladly check and let you know if there are any problems between them.

I am taking 70 mg daily methadone, have been going to clinic for 2 mths now. I have a severe sinus cold/infection and was wondering what OTC medication I can take without the risk of an adverse reaction? Ugh, just want to be able to breathe again!!! ## I had a chance to look at the UCLA Health drug interactions list between Methadone and Nyquil. Unfortunately it lists a number of interactions which would likely deem the combination unsafe. This is because of the ingredients contained inside Nyquil (Acetaminophen, Dextromethorphan, Doxylamine Succinate, Alcohol, and more). 1. Methadone w/ Doxylamine, MODERATE interaction: "Concomitant use of opioid agonists with doxylamine may cause excessive sedation and somnolence.
