For the past 4 days except for today I have been taking 8mg of suboxone, today I took 3-7.5 mg of Vicodin to no effect I'm guessing because of my blocked receptors, I'm looking to just continue my suboxone use, do I have to wait even though the suboxone already blocked everything, or will I go into precipitated withdrawals because there are opiates in my system? Thx ## @Curious, If you haven't received any kind of effect from taking a single vicodin, my opinion is that you should be fine to continue using suboxone as you were. However because I am not a doctor I would still encourage you to seek professional medication advice regarding this just to be on the safe side. There are also those here who have a lot of personal experience switching between the two and can offer a m...

I understand that it is alright to take Tylenol when on Warfarin which I am doing but for awhile taking Tylenol did actually effect my INR results and the Warfarin dosage had to be altered accordingly. I have been diagnosed with Bursitis and the Tylenol is not helping at all but I hesitate to try any other pain medication if there is one that is compatible with Warfarin. Seems to me when on Warfarin there are so many limitations. ## There are others you can try, if your doctor approves, they just have to be ones that don't cause additional blood thinning, such as Oxycodone, Hydrocodone, Morphine, or other opiates. The NIH warns that they carry the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth. Only your physi...

My sister took a 65mg Darvon little pink capsule. She was frantic with pain from a toothache. I am stressed.. it was from 2010.. Is it ok..? She seems fine, but I know they are discontinued! ## Did she suffer any adverse effects? She will most likely be okay, but should make sure to inform her doctor that she took it. They were pulled from the market due to the fact that they were found to cause a high risk of cardiac dangers, as well as an inordinate number of overdose deaths. However, the cardiac problems usually only occurred while someone was taking it and they resolved upon discontinuation. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipat...

I have a Spinal Injury (Cervical and Lumbar) Va Doctor Treated. Was on Percacet 5/325 for 4 years, Dr. placed on Oxycodone 15mg for 16 months. Switched VA facilities and new doctor has Opiate concerns and switches me before even reviewing my records because of her belief of no Opiate treatments to 5mg Oxycodone(Tolerance levels made them like aspirin) stating additional Insaids and Anti-inflammatory should do the job. After 9 months and many conversations, she still says she is concerned about Opiate abuse and will not increase me because of addiction fears. How do I express that I know my body is addicted but, at least with the 15mg I would relieve some of the pain. As it is now I just have enough Opiate in me for the body to need it, but not enough to be effective as a pain relief. If...

Only your doctor can help you determine for sure what it is and help you find a solution. Do you ever get heartburn or GERD?

I go to ER 1-2x/mo for pain. Always same "cocktail" - Dilaudid, Toradol, Zofran, & Ativan. Works like a charm and I am usually in/out in about 3-4 hours. Only IV delivery seems to be effective. Doc would like me to be able to get these meds in some other way than ER due to excessive cost but can't seem to find a place willing to administer. Is there are reason I couldn't learn to do it at home? Would home health be an option? Is home health ever "on call?" ## Hello I am in the process of getting a pain pump but I have been hearing a lot about this homecare stuff and they come in and give you your meds I am 35 and not really thrilled about the pain pump but I can not hold on to my meds cause I always run out its not cause I take dubble or triple the amount at ...

My doctor prescribed me 10mg percocets. I then asked to switch to Vicodin due to some side effects. I noticed that the Vicodin is not helping as well with pain and I have to take more than the recommended dosage for pain relief. I'm out of the vicodin and can refill tomorrow. I have an appointment with my pain management specialist next week where I will talk to her about going back on the 10mg percocets. My question is, will the pharmacy give me an issue if I call tomorrow for a refill of the Vicodin (to hold me over for pain), and then the week after if my doctor gives me percocets? My question is, can I get Vicodin filled and then a week later get Percocet filled? My condition is fragmented, herniated L4/L5 disc. I'm being treated with medication and steroid inj's. until ...

the queen used it while delivering her eigth child ## Actually, that is a myth. At the time there was a debate going on between doctors who thought it was okay to use pain medication during child birth and those who did not. Thus, the store was told and perpetuated, to try to encourage people to use it and believe it was safe, however, the store was not actually true. That said, whether or not the queen did get any medication is something this site does not know. The thing most commonly used back then did not begin with a C, anyway, it was actually Ether. Is there anything else I can help you with? ## pain med that strat with letter c ## I recently had a migraine headache and the ER doctor gave me a shot of something beginning with "C" or maybe "K'.........any ideas

Does anyone know a Dr in Roswell ga who will prescribe pain mediciation and Xanax? ## Hello, Nannyq! How are you? I'm sorry that you're in pain. However, due to the new regulations that were set forth by the DEA last year, you'll need to see specialists, if you require such medications on a long-term ongoing basis, a general practitioner won't be able to prescribe them for you. That also means most doctor's won't prescribe both, you'd need to see a pain management specialist and a psychiatrist for the Xanax. The FDA lists Xanax as a benzodiazepine that is most commonly used to treat anxiety and nervous disorders. It carries the risk of being habit forming and could cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache and irritability. Can anyone recommend ...
