sir, I am 60 years old. I have been diagnosed as diabetic, high BP, high triglyceride patient. Medicines prescribed as Tazloc 40, Glizid M 80, and Rozucor F 10. After taking these medicines for about 15 days, a severe "DRYCOUGH " attacked me. However, I am continuing the medicines as per the advise of my physician. kindly advise me what is the reason for such drycough. Shall I continue these medicines? I have initially took 5/5 mg of coveram for 2 months.. after my bp was found to be at 160/100.. the doctor prescribed 10/10 coveram but it causes heavy dry cough which lasted for more than a month.. another doctor prescribed to me another medication to stop my coughing. ## A dry cough is a possible side effect of most blood pressure medications, according to the NIH. I had cold with bad cough and I took antibiotic Augmentin 650 mg for 5 days. However, dry cough is still persisting and irrtating even not able to sleep. ## Since it is an antibiotic, it is only effective for treating infections and a cold is caused by a virus, so antibiotics do not help. I started taking Coveram last December 2017 and after 1 week i developed cough which I find very disturbing. The effect of it was exemplary and just maintained my BP but the cough is really my concern. Just this March, my follow up check up, I talked to my Doctor and raised my concern regarding the cough. I had been having this dry severe cough for years and meeting doctors after doctors still couldn't reach to cure. One has said that I have sensitive nose and has given me budenase spray. I had open heart surgery in 2006 and taking Carca 6.25 morning & Night, Clavix As75 afternoon and Lipicure-20 mg, Cardace 10 mg in the night. Now I am given TAZLOC -40. I have cough which started as dry about four days ago, I started cefloxacin tab three days ago, to arrest it beore it could grow worse. Unfortunately, rather than being cured, i am experiencing worse situation. Persistent coughing that is already paining my chest,throat, ribs and abdomen, with little whitish phlegm which msy be mixed with slight yellow-brown particles with salty taste consistently flowing out. i am a 62 year old and have been on candersatan for approximately 6 years. I developed a dry tickly cough about 3 years ago and thought it was an allergy as it comes and goes and I can go for several days without coughing. Recently it has got worse and is frequently accompanied by watery eyes and blocked nose. It is keeping both me and my husband awake at night. To be honest it's driving me nuts.
