i took levotheroxine 0.05mg cause my Hermon was 5.3 for 50 days now my exam say i am normal when i should stop take this tablet cause the doctor tell me keep take it and iam start not trust him. ## You may always need to take it to in order to control the levels of your thyroid hormones, if they are imbalanced. If they are just staying at normal levels, then that likely means that the medication is working and maintaining them there. They should check the levels every few months and adjust the medication, if needed. Have you considered getting a second opinion, if you have concerns?

In relation to Vitamins-----A bottle of Solgar Vits. label says : B-Complex "100". The Supplement Facts Say: Vit. B6 100mg. What do the " " mean, and does the mg(lower case) mean Mg, MG, or mcg? I take Levothyroxin 100 mcg and replaced by Thyronorm 100 mg. is this comprable dosage and same effect? ## 1000 micrograms (mcg)= 1 milligram (mg) 100 mcg= .1 mg Since thyronorm and levothyroxine are one in the same medication (just different brand names), it becomes clear to me that levothyroxine 100mcg is a significantly smaller dose than thyronorm 100mg. That said, you will probably notice the difference in strength when switching to thyronorm. However I certainly wouldn't be able to tell you how this will effect you in comparison to your previous dosage, as everyone reacts to these medications differently. Have been taking 400mcg Fentora with 125mcg Fentanyl Patch as prescribed by my PM doc. Fentora supposedly is only used for cancer pain. I do not have cancer just major chronic pain in knees for 10 years she believes is now CRPS. She says I have to stop either the patch or the Fentora. I have heard that Morphine is a good sub and she suggests 15mg. Dilaudid is also an option but did not have any success with that in 4mg dose. I ran out of synthroid. It shows 0.1MG. I got a temporary bottle that shows 100MCG. Are they the same? ## Hi Lucille, Conversion tools verify that 100mcg (micrograms) is actually equal to 0.1mg (milligrams), so you should have nothing to worry about as far as taking the correct dosage is concerned. If you were given the temporary bottle by another pharmacy, that could explain why they used a different measurement than you were used to seeing. I'm on Morphine sulf 60mg ER 1 table every 12 hours plus Fentora 400 MCG Buccal tablet 1 every 6 hours. I'm ran out of the Morphine Sulf and none of the farmacy have it on stock. Now I'm with a lot of pain, I think because I'm getting the morphine out of my system, but I do have at home Oxycodone 15 MG. Do you know if I can substitute the morphine for the Oxycodone safely until I get the Morphine back within 2 days. Also if I take the Oxycodone can I still take the Fentora safely. I am on 25 mcg of fentanyl patch can I use exalgo 16 mg for breakthrough pain ## Hi Nereidao, From what I could gather, there are no drug interactions or contraindications listed between Fentanyl and Exalgo (hydromorphone). So both of these medications are considered to be safe when taken together or within the same time frame. Alcohol and grapefruit are pretty much the main things you should probably stay away from as far as drug interactions are concerned; since having them together may cause serious life threatening side effects. I am currently taking the 50 mcg/hr fentanyl patch. I have symatic dysfunction of the sacrum. Have been on vicoden 10/660, those were probably the best. (4 per day). Then doctor wanted more of a pain management therapy. we tried the 30mg morphine, didnt work at all, wanted to increase to the 60mg but they are not prescribed hardly ever and no pharmacy even carries them. They have to be ordered and then if you do get them, they are extremely expensive, even with insurance. You have to go up to at least the 80mg then the price goes down considerably. the fentanyl seems to be the best working for me but i need to be bumped up in mg. Like i said, im on the 50 now. I have been being treated for chronic pain off and on for years. Recently i've been on the fentanyl 75 mcg every 3 days and the morphine 15 mg at 4 x daily. Govind, these thyroid medications will only help with Thyroid issues, they will not fix your blood sugar problem, unless it is somehow directly related to it, but that is not very common.
