For about three years, I felt like my brain was unfocused. Lately I've gotten very clumsy and can type accurately on the computer. I am taking Levothyroxine 88 mcg for about 7 yrs., pravastatin 20 MG for about 5gabapenton 300 mg )now off that) since 2011, and more recently Clonzazeoam .5 mg (about 10 moths) and fluoxetine 10 mg for about 7 months. Could any of these be causing my brain not to function rights, depression runs in my family and it seems like I'm afraid of everything, especially driving new places and technology, which I used to be pretty good at. ## Hello, Ladymarine! How are you? I'm sorry about the problem that you've been having. It could be due to the Pravastatin, Clonazepam, Fluoxetine, or a combination of all of them. There is also a chance that it mi...

I have thyroid problem are it is cancer my doctor said thyroid problem that is why dis medication is for .but I hear some people said dis is cancer patients medication ## Hello, Sharon! How are you? Levothyroxine is a medication used to help stabilize the thyroid hormones, so it is actually used in both those with general thyroid disorders, as well as in those that have thyroid cancer. Thus, just because your doctor prescribed it, that doesn't mean you have cancer. The FDA lists the typical side effects of this medication as possibly including nausea, dizziness, hair loss and weight changes. Is there anything else I can help with?

Back in the hospital and the doctors are having a hard time finding an IV medication that will help lessen the chest pain from my pneumonia. I wear Fentanyl 75 mcg (changed every 72 hrs). Health issues; crps/rsd, ankylosing spondylitis, Arnold Chiari Malformation, Pudenal Neuralgia, are just the top my health issues. ## Hi Loveday, I don't know how much help this will be, but I was able to find a pretty extensive list of medications starting with "P". Perhaps one of the names on there might ring a bell?: nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/druginfo/drug_Pa.html If anyone else can post back with more information on other possibilities that would be great!

Is it Levothyroxine 50 mcg tablet an oblong white pill with a 50 on one side and a GG 332 on the other side? Thanks a lot for your time... ## Hi, CN! Yes, you have received the correct medication. It may be different from the tablet you previously received from your pharmacy due to the fact that there is currently a shortage of this medication. The reasons haven't been given, but the complete supply from one manufacturer isn't currently available. Several people have asked very similar questions. Some pharmacies have been unable to get in any generic supply, at all and have had to provide the name brand. Are there any other questions or concerns?

I am taking bisoprolol(concor1.25) for MVP. and eltroxin 25 mcg for hypothyroid disorder ..how long I can continue with this medicine. ## You should continue them for as long as your doctor deems them appropriate to treat your conditions. The U.S. FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination, weight changes, hypotension, and hair loss. There may come a time, when your body gets used to them, so they stop working, as well, and if so, you may need a dosage adjustment, or switch to alternative medications. Is there anything else I can help with?

What medicine treats CPK levels? I have a high level of creatine in my legs (501). Please let me know what medicine would treat this condition? ## That is a systemic level, which means throughout your entire body, not just your legs, though you may primarily be feeling any effects in your legs. Normal levels are 10 to 120 mcg/L, so 501 is, indeed very high. Generally, high creatine levels occur due to some sort of muscle injury, such as a heart attack, stroke, pulmonary infarction, myopathy, brain injury, myocarditis, and etc. Thus, lowering your levels is dependent upon treating the relevant condition that has caused it to be high, so there isn't any one specific medication that can be recommended for you. What action has your doctor advised?

I have just been told by my pharmacy that they will no longer fill my 30 mg oxycodone prescription. I have been prescribed 150 per month, for a few years, Now they (walgreens in North Palm beach) say they will only fill a prescription for 120 maximum per month. I am unsure of what to do? mc ## You're going to get the same response, regardless of what pharmacy you use. 120 a month of any given dosage is the maximum amount that is allowed to be prescribed each month. Many pharmacies got in trouble for not enforcing the limits, so they no longer have a choice in the matter, they can't fill for any amount higher than 120 a month. The only thing you can really do is talk to your doctor to have this one changed to an amount of 120 and then see if they'll prescribe a different dosa...

Sun now it's wed and withdrawal is starting and I feel miserable, I guess my question is, is there something to ease these symtoms, I was on them for fibro and then they say opiads don't work for fibro because over time it makes pain worse.. I don't know? I'm just trying a new path , has anyone had experience with this? ## Hello, Debra! How are you feeling? I'm sorry that you're miserable. Since you still have some and aren't just doing a full withdrawal, the symptoms should only last a week or so. However, if they are really severe, you should talk to your doctor about what you can...

Oblong, skinny, white pill with 650 on one side and McNeil on the other? ## Ortho McNeil pill with 650 is Ultracet. I am only guessing this because the pill for Ultracet has the imprint O-M 650 on it. Wonder if the pill you have is an older pill because Ortho McNeil is the one who currently manufactures the drugs. ## McNeil 650 ## I believe that the marking you were looking at is McNEIL 659, it is a 50mg Ultram tablet, which is a name brand for Tramadol. NDC: 00045-0659 This tablet has now been discontinued. This is different from Ultracet, since Ultracet contains Tramadol and Acetaminophen. The FDA warns that Tramadol carries the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth. how it helps our body is it advisable for man of age 63 to take one tablet daily ## Gemcal is a nutritional supplement it contains: Calcitriol .25 mcg, Calcium Carbonate 500 mg and zinc 7.5 mg. Whether or not you need to take it regularly can only be decided by you and your doctor, if you do not normally get enough of these nutrients in your diet, then it can be very beneficial. How many international units (I.U.) are in 2.0 mcg of Vitamin B12? ## 120mcg of Vitamin K2 is equivalent to how many IU? ## I have never seen vitamin B-12 measured in (I.U) international units. It's almost always measured in micrograms. From what I've read, 2.4 mcg per day, is reportedly the FDA's recommended dietary allowance (RDA) for vitamin B12. The conversion charts that I've come across supporting MCG to IU only pertain to the following vitamins: A, B1 through B6, C, D & E. Perhaps contacting a local pharmacy may be your best bet? However, it seems to me that as long as you can measure the recommended daily allowance (e.g. 100% daily value) then that should be adequate enough for determining how much should be taken in any 24hr period unless specifically told o...

i took levotheroxine 0.05mg cause my Hermon was 5.3 for 50 days now my exam say i am normal when i should stop take this tablet cause the doctor tell me keep take it and iam start not trust him. ## You may always need to take it to in order to control the levels of your thyroid hormones, if they are imbalanced. If they are just staying at normal levels, then that likely means that the medication is working and maintaining them there. They should check the levels every few months and adjust the medication, if needed. Have you considered getting a second opinion, if you have concerns?
