I was born in 1942 and used Mazon from when I was 7 or so until I was in my late teens and the first cortisone ointment became available -- tiny amount for a high price and wonderful performance. When I was using Mazon I was using a huge amount, as I had horrible rash over much of my body for long periods, and sometimes secondary infections. Mazon did seem to reduce the itching and the rash. I've always wondered how much mercury was in it and it its accumulation had something to due with my mental instability then and subsequently. Mad as a hatter, at times, I think. I have no desire to sue anybody or anything like that, but I certainty went overboard in using it when the eczema was bad. for eczema, psoriasis- seeping, cracking, blistering skin- I personally used it from the age of 6 mos. in 1955 to 1988, then it disappeared from shelves- it was an over the counter cream and it really worked. At the age of 3 months my skin would swell, crack and seep a clear liquid- a pediatrician introduced the cream to my mother and at the time they had a bar soap, shampoo and cream-of which I used occasionally over the course of 30 years then all of a sudden it disappeared. I did have part of a jar I used sparingly and guarded with my life and I called the company that made the cream and they said that they took the recipe out of circulation. I have a boil in thefold of thigh and belly.Very painful and when it breaks ,it has blood and or puss(?). I also have a daughter who is very heavy and has been plagued with boils most of her life.
