Looking for a doctor who is willing to prescribe Percocet and/or MS Contin in central Massachusetts, I recently moved and I have herniated/bulging discs as well as arthritis in my back, I'm more than fine with UA's but prefer a doctor with flexible hours as I'm still trying to maintain a full time career. Any help would be hugely appreciated.

I am trying to find a doctor or pain clinic in Western Massachusetts (Springfield / Westfield Area) for my wife, the doctor she was seeing took her off the fentanyl patches and oxycodone when she got pregnant with our 3rd daughter. She was on them for a lower back problem where the disk had ruptured requiring emergency surgery and combination sciatica issues and fibromyalgia. the problem came about while my wife was pregnant the medical practice the Dr was a apart of closed down and the doctor opened her own private practice and now does not prescribe at all to anyone for any reason at all. I have been calling around and it seem's like none of the practices prescribe at all. we got her into Baystate Pain Management in Springfield Mass but they lied to us over the phone. we waited 2 ...

I have lower back pain deg fiscs none of the surgeons recommend this surgery however none will prescribe pain meds anyone in springfield massachusetts ## Hi Jessi, Surgery is the last option, if you only have pain in your lower back, surgery will not help. Have you and your doctor talked about muscle relaxers, like Soma or Flexeril? There are many non surgical that can help a lot. Seeing an OT doctor works wonders, using a TENS unit, steroids by mouth. (I've had 7 back surgeries ) Good Luck!

As an ex junky I really need some subutex to help me to feel better and not so anxious, life has been very hard. My doctor does not listen to me. In fact he is very worried about is reputation as a GP. He told me, sorry Miss I'm protecting myself!! I left his surgery in tears and felt let down by him the only option he offers me was antidepressant. I dont want antidepressants, I want a strong pill to make me sleep when i feel suicidal. ## Seroquel at night will help emensly! 50 mg @ bedtime. i have been in the same pain management office for about 10 years. i had experimental back surgury in 2005. i had a titanium disc replacement in my lumber spine at l5-s1. since then the pain has gotten a lot worse. my pain management doctor tried me on a few different pain meds, but i decided percocet 5 3 times a day was sufficient. over time, my body built up a tolerance and i continued to get procedures there to help with the pain, but i kept telling my doctor i was still in excruciating pain. unfortunately, i couldn't handle the pain anymore and my boyfriend at the time started doing dope and convinced meta try it too. thank god it was only for a few months, that was over a year ago. i went back into my pain management center to get help and they put me on suboxone. i hate myself ...

The Massachusetts attorney general is targeting Purdue Pharma and eight members of the Sackler family who own the company, alleging in a lawsuit they are "personally responsible" for deceptively selling OxyContin. The attorney general, Maura Healey, sat down with CBS This Morning. She alleges the Sackler family hired "hundreds of workers to carry out their wishes" – pushing doctors to get "more patients on opioids, at higher doses, for longer, than ever before" all while paying "themselves billions of dollars." In her lawsuit, Healey names eight members of the family that own Purdue Pharma, alleging they "micromanaged" a "deceptive sales campaign." In the conclusion to the complaint, Healey said the Sackler family used the power at t...

Misshapen fingers. Fibromyalgia. And more. Would like pain meds for the BAD days ## Hello, CC! How are you? I am very sorry that you're in pain. Do you currently have a PCP that you see regularly? If so, having them refer you to someone will most likely be the easiest and fastest way of finding the help you need. Can anyone recommend a good doctor in that area?

I am in Massachusetts and another adderall shortage, so far it's the 30mg. Manufacturer will not give my pharmacy a date that they can supply. How is a shortage possible, I tried every other drug out there and only adderall works, if I don't take it I cant function at work and will end up loosing my job. ## I am very sorry about the problem you're having. Have you had any luck finding it, yet? Unfortunately, shortages occur almost every year. Each manufacturer is assigned an allotment by the DEA, which is based on the prior years demand for legitimate prescriptions. Once they hit that manufacturing limit, they have to go through a process to request an adjustment to their allotment, and wait to see if it is approved, before they can start manufacturing, again. It should also...

I'm in Massachusetts and just lost my Blue Cross that was covering the Duragesic Jansen 100 and 25 mg patches. Now I'm on Massachusetts Health and they won't cover the brand name, which compared to the generic is a big difference in the amount of Fentanyl. For example the 100 has 16.8mg of Fentanyl per patch vs the generic only has 10.55 by mylan. The 25 only has 2.4 I believe and the brand name is 4.2. That's a big difference to me when these name brand are barely making my pain tolerable. I've been on the generic before and they are definitely not even close to the brand name. My question is, I found the generic brand Sandoz that has equivalent amount of medicine in each patch but I cant find pharmacies that carry it or that will order it for me. Like I said I'...

Do chain pharmacies in Massachusetts take this and other discount cards? I've gotten a few different types in the mail but never tried to use them because many of the assistance programs say that they are not to be used in MA. I go to Rite Aid for all of my prescriptions, but also have a Walgreens, Walmart, CVS local. Has anyone tried to use this discount card shown above in any of these stores in MA?

Where can I find these in Massachusetts. What pharmacy's do they distribute to, The oblong 10/325 does not agree with me at all ? any idea? thank you in advance, ## Where can I have a script filled in Massachusetts for 10.325 mylan only. what pharmacy's stock theses ## Hello, BJ! How are you? I'm sorry, but there is no listing of pharmacies according to what medication from which manufacturer they have in stock. What ere the markings on the oblong ones you're complaining about? This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

Looking for a doctor who prescribes methadone for pain in massachusetts ## Hello, Eric! How are you? I'm sorry, but there is no listing of doctors according to what they will or will not prescribe that I can refer to for you. If you require such a medication on a long-term, ongoing basis for chronic pain, you'll have to see a pain management specialist, since a PCP will no longer be able to prescribe it for you. And the only thing you can really do is set up an appointment with a specialist, make sure they receive a full copy of your current medical records, then keep the appointment so you can discuss what they will or will not do to help you. If you aren't happy with them, you'll have to try someone else. However, you can't ask about any specific medication, when y...

I have called my Doctor Office and He himself is not sure either ??? If I take the medication every 30 days and will be gone what does someone like myself do if I can't get my refill? ## Hello, Moe! How are you? Yes, that is correct, it is very hard to get out of state prescriptions filled. Do you happen to use a chain pharmacy, such as Walgreens or Rite Aid? If so, you might be ab...

I just moved from Massachusetts to Maryland to care for my 77 yr old mom and 80 yr old dad. I found the above described pill in the bottom of my mom's medication lock box and I'm not certain what medication it is. I do know that the pharmacy they use often purchases whatever manufacturer has the lowest price which I don't mind. But, I would really appreciate it if the pharmacy owner would have a written description of each medication printed on the label OR have a true to size photo of both sides of a pill on the label. ## Hello, Lisa!
