I was taking the Mallinckrodt hydrocodone-acetaminaphen 10-325. They were doing the job. My pharmacy ran out and was using Caraco hydrocodone-acetaminaphen 10-325. They were next to worthless for relief. What's the deal do you think? ## Hi Perry, Usually when you switch to another manufacturer's version of the same drug, the primary differences can be found in the list of "inactive" ingredients (which I personally don't believe are actually "inactive" as they say). To my understanding the various binders/fillers may account for how well you metabolize/absorb each active ingredient. Mallinckrodt's M367 (10/325) tablets reportedly contain the following set of inactive ingredients: crospovidone + magnesium stearate + microcrystalline cellulose + povidone + c...

i have a prescription from my pain management doctor for norco 10-325 but it has been on back order each time ive tried to have it filled at not only my pharmacy Rite Aide but other major pharmacy's have also been unable to fill my prescription is their any reason for this or is there any suggestion's ## Two things are possible. One, when it was reclassified as a Schedule II the bottles the pharmacy's had were sent back to the manufacturer. It is possible they are running short or don't have any. Second, this time of year it is not unusual for Schedule II meds to become very hard to find or not be able to find them at all. The reason is because the manufacturers are only given a certain amount of active ingredients for 1 year. When that runs out, they have to wait until ...

Is there a difference between norco IP 109 and norco M 365? If so, what is it? ## Hello, Sarah! How are you? They are just manufactured by different companies. The one with the IP 109 marking is manufactured by Amneal Pharmaceuticals and the one with the M 365 marking is manufactured by Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals, but both are listed as containing 5mgs of Hydrocodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?

What pharmacy carries the blue hydros 10/500 in El paso, Tx westside? ## If you're referring to the blue ones that are manufactured by Watson with the marking WATSON 540 on them, you aren't going to find them anymore. You'll need to be looking for them in white, since Watson has removed the dye. Learn more Norco details here. Additionally, they will all soon be changed to only contain a maximum of 325mgs of Acetaminophen, due to concerns raised by the FDA, because of the risk of liver damage associated with long-term use and the toxicity of overdose. Thus, all manufacturers are expected to change their formulations to the lower amount no later than January of 2014. Do you remember who the manufacturer was? ## Until then Mr.Verwon where can I get them here? I am already going...

I take generic Norco: hydrocodone -acetaminophen 10-325 TB. Which works fine. However for a month, I took hydrocodone -acetaminophen-325 (no TB mentioned anyhere). Miserable. Did not work as well and was in tears. Are these the same generic ingredients in both meds? Or should I insist on "TB" since the generic norco refers to hydrocodone -acetaminophen 10-325 TB. ## Hello, Mickie! How are you? Sorry that you were in pain. But the TB just stands for tablet, that's all that it specifies, so there was nothing different between the two. Without knowing the markings on the tablets or the manufacturers, I have no way of knowing if you were ever taking a different generic, or if it's always been the same one. Can you check with your pharmacy and post back? Thanks! ## Is availab...

Just want to know difference between both pills, beside Manufacturers. I was taking Hydocodone-Acetaminophen 10-325 yellow pill #1096 on one side a V on other side. I was then switched to a white oval pill with the same strength, but has U03 on one side. both say substituted for Norco. ## Hello, Chula! How are you? That is the only difference. When a medication is available for generic production, it is usually manufactured by several different companies, because this creates market competition to help keep prices down. The FDA classifies this medication as being a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. I take Qualitest 10/500 pink hydrocodone. My pharmacy has told me that Qualitest will no longer be making this. I have tried other 10/500 pills to no avail. Qualitest is the only manufacturer that works on my pain . Does Qualitest offer another size ? ## Hello, Ted! How are you doing? Actually, after the first of the year (2014), none of the manufacturers will be making this dosage, anymore. Due to the risks of liver damage or failure that can occur with long-term use of high amounts of Acetaminophen, as well as the overdose fatalities that have occurred with these medications, the FDA has requested that all combination prescription products be lowered to contain no more than 325mgs of Acetaminophen, per dose. Why are they discontinuing the white Watson Hydrocodone Watson now ? ## Hi, Harvey! Who told you it was being discontinued? Is it one that contains 500mgs of Acetaminophen or more? If so, that may be the reason. The FDA has requested that all manufacturers lower the amount of Acetaminophen in these combination medications to no more than 325mgs per dose, due to the danger of liver damage that can occur with long term use and the liver failure that can occur with overdosage. Some companies are already implementing the change and the rest are scheduled to have it completely by January of 2014. my pharmacist told me that watson is discontinuing the hydrocodone blue 10/500 rx, and the only ones we would be able to get is the white generic, the white ones make me goofy, so why are they not going to produce the blue 10/500 anymore or is she full of a crap as an independant pharmacy, family owned?? ## From the information I've just found, your pharmacist is correct. In January of 2011, the U.S. FDA asked manufacturers to start limiting the amount of Acetaminophen in these combination medication products to only 325mgs and to discontinue the 500mg and higher versions. They wanted the changes to all be made by January of 2014. Some companies have already done so and the rest are slowly instituting the change to have all their products in compliance by the designated time. That d...

I take hydrocodone 10-.325 I take yellow color with a v on one side,is yellow good strength or is there stronger colors? ## The strength is determined by the amount of active ingredients not the color of the tablet ## @crossfire, BL is right in a sense, however one thing to note is that some manufacturers do color coordinate specific tablets according to their dosage. For example, Qualitest's 7.5/325 Hydrocodone + Acetaminophen tablet marked with V 36 05 is orange in color, while the yellow 10/325 tablets made by Qualitest with V 36 01 are yellow in color. Furthermore, Qualitest's 5/325 Hydrocodone + Acetaminophen tablets with V 3604 are white. Nevertheless, 10/325 is maximum dosage that you'll find in any Hydrocodone + Acetaminophen combination tablet. So all other tablets ...
