Been taking oxycodone-acetaminaphen 10-325 for about 5 years for chronic back pain. Had the best control of pain from Malinkrodt Manufacturer of this Med. Pharmacist gave me Qualitest once and it failed miserably in controlling my pain. Now they want me to try Rhodes brand. How does Rhodes really compare with my favorite Malinkrodt? ## There are many variables that come into play when determining if one brand is better than another, and the answer to this question tends to be different for each individual based on things like tolerance, age, weight, metabolism, digestive health, mentality, body chemistry, how their body responds to different binders/fillers, etc. Any number of these factors can affect one's perception (without them even knowing) of which tablet they prefer and why t...

i just picked up my new prescription for 15mg oxycodone hcl ir for this month,2/26/15. it is made by rhodes pharmaceuticals and is white and very large for this kind of medication. it has to be the absolute weakest i have gotten and i have been on this pain management drug for over 7 years. over the years i have gotten what i thought to be about every different manufacture there was on this drug . does anyone who is, actually know the best one and who carries it in their pharmacy. this #$@#! is crazy!!! ## Agreed... This generic brand from Rhodes Pharmaceuticals (10/325) was a large, round white pill that had absolutely no effect on my pain. I have never received a less effective prescription- it was essentially glorified acetaminophen- without any glory... This medication costs far too...

Any recommendations of specific generics that really work for this medication? Do you have the names of generic companies that manufacture an effective version of the medication that is specified in the Title/Subject herein? ## I BEEN HAVING ALOT OF BACK PAIN DO IT MY BREAST BEING SO HEAVY! THIS PAIN I BEEN HAVING IT SINCE I WAS 14 YEARS OLD NOW IM 30! AND STILL HAVING ALOT OF PAIN IN MY CHEST AND BACK! CAN YOU PLEASE HELP ME WITH STRONG PAIN MEDS! ## @Ea, I think with regards to trying specific manufacturer's brands or generics, there comes a point of understanding in knowing that we all react/respond differently despite taking the same active ingredient(s). I think this is not only in part due to our unique individual biochemistry or our state of being and how we interpret the eff...

What is the difference between roxicodone and oxycodone ? ## From what I understand, Roxicodone and Oxycodone are both the exact same medication. The only difference you might find would probably be in the list of inactive ingredients (binders/fillers) that different manufacturers use in their tablets. I think the real confusion sets in when people start discussing Percocet (which is sometimes partially labeled as Oxycodone). However, it also contains Acetaminophen; the differentiating factor between those two meds. You can learn more about this drug on the page for Oxycodone Details I hope this info helps to answer your question! ## Will oxycodone and roxicet be metabolized the same in the body?....thats all i NEED to know

Is the nickname for U17 known also as a substitute for Percocets or is it's nickname known as substitute for Roxycet. Are there any variances ## They actually aren't nicknames, there are brand names and generic names. The brand name is a trade name given by the original manufacturer of a medication, and the generic name is the list of the actual ingredients. The generic name for Percocet is Oxycodone with APAP (Acetaminophen) and the generic name for Roxicet would just be Oxycodone, so yes, they are different. The tablet with the U17 marking is manufactured by Aurolife Pharma and they list it as containing 10mgs of Oxycodone and 325mgs of APAP (Acetaminophen), so it is a generic for Percocet. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may caus...

I have been taking Amneil 10-325 oxycodone for 4 yrs and found it very effective and now my pharmacist said he no longer order this and has given me Rhodes replacement which makes me very tired, nauseated and not as strong. I would. like to know if any other stores carry this brand? I saw Amneil has merged with Inpax and will Amneil ever be available again at Rite Aid or any other drug stores? ## In most cases, your pharmacist does not get to pick which manufacturer's product they carry, they usually have a distributor that they deal with, so when they reorder, they are provided with whatever company was offering the cheapest price at that time. Thus, there is no way to know which one any given pharmacy might carry. The only thing you can do it go to them, with your prescription in ...

the imprints on this pill is one side has230 and the other side looks like an imprint of a capital letter g and possiblya tint of yellow in it. ## Based on the description provided, I found a round light yellow pill marked "230" on one side and a large C or G like logo on the other side, to be Acetaminophen + Oxycodone hydrochloride (325 mg - 10 mg). Manufacturer: Alvogen, Inc. The blend tablet is a narcotic pain reliever used to treat moderate to severe acute (short-term) pain. I've read a lot of the messages but didn't find one referring to what I got this month. Its mfg is Alvog round off white maybe a light yellow pill with a symbol on one side and 230 on the other side. Why are so many changing and am I in for more nausea from these ? Thanks ## Hello, Patricia! How are you? It's just a different manufacturer, since this is a generic. Whichever your pharmacy has in stock at any time can vary depending on who was offering the cheapest price, when they needed to restock their supply. However, all are approved by FDA. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I got stuck with this ...

Hi, I've never looked for help on the internet regarding my medication, but I'm at a loss. I'm a 46-year-old, healthy, strong and fit female. Three years ago I was pushed from the top of a 4-story building, falling 80 feet. Subsequently, I still suffer from severe, chronic back pain. I take Oxycodone 10/325 every 4 to 6 hours to help manage my pain. When I last filled my prescription, 3 days ago, I noted that I am getting zero relief. I never take more than one pill in a four hour period. But that first day I took 4 pills within 6 hours and still didn't have relief. I called the pharmacy to see if the manufacturer had changed and she informed me that it had not. In fact I looked at the pills and they looked identical to the pills I got the month before. I don't think...

I too used to take the Watson Marked ones, but CVS switched to these and I find these VERY VERY effective. I think that the reason some people don't like them is there body is used to the other and a lot of it maybe "brain" issues. Your brain is used to taking "Watson's" and when you change your brain is saying Ol no something different it won't work, helpppp... But rest assured your body WILL get used to them and start to work, it just takes time. Thanks, Jeremy ## When you switch brand names or manufacturers the drug itself doesn't necessarily change, but rather the binders or fillers that they put with it. For this very reason, I believe the differences and side effects people feel have a lot to do with certain "inactive" ingredients that may o...

I have a friend that takes 24 pink percocets a day 720 pills a month an her doctor prescribed them to be taken like that can that harm her. ## If this is what her doctor recommended for her, then I'd imagine she must be in some serious debilitating pain without it. However, what really concerns me about this doctor's approach is that each percocet tablet contains a minimum 325mgs of Acetaminophen. At the dosage she's taking in, that's an alarming 7,800mgs of Acetaminophen within 24hrs. Enough to cause some serious liver damage. Her doctor may have ignored the warning label, but it's been clearly stated by the FDA as well as drug manufacturers NOT to exceed 4,000mgs of Acetaminophen within a 24hr period and NOT to exceed 1000mgs in a single dose. These numbers a far b...

My Pharmacy just gave me the blue pill with the U23 on it and so far it seems to be working the same if not somewhat better than the smaller blue pills that I had prior. Seems lately that whatever type of Oxycodone I take is having an adverse effect on me and making me very tired after a few hours. I never had that problem before. ## I believe the U23 are manufactured by Aurobindo. I've had that manufacturer in percocet form and it wasn't the worst. It's acceptable and works for the pain but has more side effects than it should. It seems like all of the generics as of late are really lacking in efficacy. I recently got some Qualitest 10/325 percocet from CVS (had to ask for them otherwise they would have given me Rhodes). Qualitest got bought out by Endo who then got bought ...

Am I crazy!? I just switched from Percs 7.5-500 to Percs 10-325 and I feel it doesn't work near the same at all. The 7.5-500 made me more pain free, and more chipper. The 10's just make me feel dazed and dizzy! Could the acetaminophen actually help that much more? So confused. Tempted to ask to go back to 7.5. I just hate feeling tired! ## The Acetaminophen does help the narcotic work better and it can also vary from person to person, so having a higher amount of it may make it work a lot better for you. Another thing that may play a role is if the new ones are from a different manufacturer, if that is the case, then they may not work as well for you, depending on fluctuations in the active ingredient, plus the inactive ingredients. Did this manufacturer raise the price of this medicine in the last 4 weeks? I am not insured. I have been on this med long term. For the last 2 yrs I paid 96.?? for 180 pills, about 3 mos. ago the price went down to 81.?? I just went to get them today and the price was 223.24 for 180 pills the same amount I have always gotten. The store said it was the manufacturer raising the price. I can't afford more than 200.00 I could barely pay the Dr. and 80.00 for my script. How do I find out if the manufacturer actually raised the price or if the store is feeding me a line of crap? Any help would be great! Thank you! ## hi I'm not sure exactly if they raised the price or not. I won't be surprised if they did since they have newly established FDA narcotic regulations. I am uninsured ...

I ran across these pain pills due to having severe chronic pain and after reading some of these comments i am shocked. I used to take the Watson brand of percocet and could not find another manufacturer that compared to them until i got the Rhodes brand. I would like to see other pharmacies carry them. I cant believe that im reading that ppl think they arent any good. I have one of the worst spinal problems in the world and stay in pain. Im thankful to have found this brand. ## Renee, It has nothing to do with the active ingredient oxycodone. Each generic drug differs in the binders used. Some folks are unable to tolerate these so the adverse effects stem more from that then the response to the oxycodone component ## To add some more information.... My pharmacy keeps trying to change my generic 10/325 percocet, I always check ahead of time to not get the crappy generics. So I have just been told the ones they have now are oblong, flat, yellow with markings E712 on one side & 10/325 on the other side. & was told they are made by Endo. Do you have any feedback on how good this particular generic is? I have chronic intractable pain so I rely on it for breakthru pain, I am also on 100 pgu Par brand fentanyl patch. ## @glokim, This is just my feedback from reading personal reviews here on MedsChat, but it appears that Endo is widely thought to be one of the better manufacturers of generic Percocet; at least to the extent of many patients here preferring it over other options. On the contrary, each medication can affect each indi...

I just got mine today and they are not worth a sh... I very disappointed in these new laws that is affecting the people . Wastson or dan or DuPont . Keeps changing patent so they can keep it write o well . I be huntting really brand Percocet next month ## Hi James, Because they are different manufacturers, Amneal more than likely contains a different set of "inactive" ingredients than Actavis (formally known as Watson). From my own research, I'm led to believe that these binders/fillers are the root cause behind some pills not working as effectively as their "identical" counterp...

I have a white oblong pill that has the letter C stamped on one side and 10/325 on the other side. I have tried searching it but cant find much about it. I would like to know what company manufacturers them and or which pharmacy carries them. I also was unable to find any images?!! ## A white oblong (capsule-shaped) pill with a C on one side and 10/325 on the other is reportedly identified as a 10mg Oxycodone HCL + 325mg Acetaminophen tablet, manufactured by Caraco Pharmaceuticals. I was also unable to locate an image, but a full fledged description was apparent enough for me to draw this conclusion. For further verification, you can also contact Caraco directly via the webpage for Sun Pharma (whom recently acquired Caraco). I hope this helps! ## Ive only ever seen them in yellow and ro...

I need to know all the manufacturer's and colors and imprints of oxycodone/acetaminophen 10/325, because of problems with all the changes with the compounds that they are changing within these pain pills, as well as manufacturer's changing hands. Problems with absorption? I need as much detailed information as possible please. I have had many different side effects. I believe that they can be more harmful now ty ## Hi Dream, sorry to hear about all of your challenges with your medication.
