I am in bad need of a new pain management doctor in AR. I live in the Russellville area, and it is so hard to find a good pain doctor around here. I suffer from cervical dystonia with extremely painful muscle spasms. I have all my records, and MRI's. I have AR Medicaid, but it's almost impossible to find a pain doctor who takes it. If anyone could help me I sure would greatly appreciate it!!! Thanks so much!!!

I have been in pain management for a long time due to a congenital cervical fusion which caused the need for a 2 level surgical intervention in 2009 at C3/4 & C4/5..That area remains pain free but all the pain moved up to base of my skull, C1/2 & C2/3 & all muscles on both sides of my neck & upper back, myofascial pain. So, my pain Dr. is decreasing patients dosages due to the new FDA rules. I am now going on my 3rd day of severe neck pain, ruined Christmas, and am ready for a bullet. I have been on & tried every therapy, medication, acupuncture, biofeedback, traction, tens unit, you name it I have done it several times. I have had no life for so long, dont go out, dont even want to talk on phone, its horrible. And now this decrease in dosage I might as well be on no...

I am taking Hydrocodone/APAP10 mg8/325mg (8 a day) muscle relaxers, Topamax for headaches and Prozac after breaking my neck at an accident at work. I had surgery and a metal plate was put in, and I was very lucky. I still have the pain, I am in pain management and have tried shots epidurals etc. and they are all short lived. I am grateful I can still walk and be mobile. Is there any chance I might find some relief some time? I feel greedy asking this since my problem is really of so little consequence when others are suffering with really catastrophic illnesses. Thank you, Loretta ## Thank you for your help! I'm moving to Vassar, Michigan in a few months and I'm looking for many types of doctors. Bay City, Saginaw, Michigan are some of the bigger city near to Vassar which is a very small city with hardly any doctors. I need a PCP, pain management, ENT, gastroenterologists, neurologist, urologist, nephrologist, hepatologist, cardiologist, and pulmonologist. I'm take 39 medications daily which means I take 87 pills a day plus inhalers, nasal sprays, nebulizer, and inj's. I have been seeing some of these doctors for 20+ years and have great relationships with them. I been seeing the pain management doctor for 7 years. I take Opana ER, oxycodone/apap, Lyrica, and a muscle relaxer. I know not all PM doctors will prescribe the same medications or Narcotic pain medications but I ha...

Hello everyone! I had an MRI done in December of 2010 on my lower back and was treated with oxycontin 30mg and muscle relaxants from a clinic in Fort Lauderdale, FL. I did that for one month and the pain in my back was gone but I was afraid to get addicted so I stopped and have since been in progressively worse pain. Now for my question, I recently moved to the St. Petersburg (Tampa Bay) area in Florida and am looking to find a doctor who will honor my MRI (3 years old) and also not give me a hard time for prescribing the right pills that ease my pain. I unfortunately lost all the documentation from the Pain Management clinic in Fort Lauderdale about my condition and the place has since been closed. Can someone recommend a clinic for me within my area? I would highly appreciate it. I am...

My doctor prescribed a cream for my back. What is in it and what does each ingredient do? Dic 3% Bac 2% Cyc 2% Gab 10% Bup 5% Pen 5% ## Hello, 4dabirds! How are you? Diclo stand for 3% Diclofenac, it is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory used to relieve pain and swelling. Bac is 2% Baclofen, which is a muscle relaxant. Cyc is 2% Cyclobenzaprine, which is another muscle relaxant. Gab stands for 10% Gabapentin, which is an anticonvulsant that's also used to treat certain types of nerve pain. Pen is 5% Penicillin, which is an antibiotic used to treat or prevent topical infections in such a mixture. I am not completely sure on the Bup, but it might be 5% Buprenorphine, which is a narcotic analgesic. The most common side effects are skin reddening and application site irritation. Is there ...

I am moving back to Las Vegas from Utah (where they have about stripped me of all my meds) and I really need a doctor who will prescribe my meds. I am currently on Percocet 15, Morphine 45, and Soma. My amounts have been cut in half and I used to get morphine 60mg. My next visit they are cutting me off the soma. That is the only muscle relaxer that has ever worked for me. I was hurt when a ride malfunctioned at Disneyland (screwed by lawyer), which resulted in neck and back surgery and I also have Lupus and Crest Syndrome. I do not go an hour without being in pain. I am really having a hard time since they have cut me down so far so fast and I really need a doctor soon. I need one within the next couple weeks. Can anyone please help me find a doctor? I feel like I am going insane and al...

Hello, I injured my back about 10 years ago. An X-rat showed a collasped, bulging L5 disc. With muscle relaxers and mild pain meds I could function. As the years have passed, the pain has become chronic. Over the last year, the pain has become acute. On my bad days, the pain is so severe I can't move. I can't get dressed or feed my cats. I spend the day trying to find a comfortable position to sit or stand. I stopped working last February and now I am on Medicaid. I found an internist who is very sweet, but does not treat chronic pain. He advised me to find a pain management doctor. I went to one. It was a strange consultation. She had my MRIs and all my other medical reports. I told her I can't drive anymore or work. And a list of other things I can't do without help. Duri

Hi, all, I just moved to Covington, KY from. Brooklyn, NY. I am taking Nucynta ER 150 mg/3 x a day, lyrica, celexa, Xanax 2 mg/3 x a day and a muscle relaxant. The main issues are the Nucynta and Xanax. I have had doctor after doctor laugh in my face when asking for this prescription. I started Xanax five years ago and Nucynta about a year ago. No one wants to prescribe Nucynta, either. I have tried Vicodin, oxy--everything. But finally found that Nucynta (a drug I paid $1500 for WITH insurance in NY) works for me. (I am a full time children's book author who spends 12 hours a day on the computer.) I am not an addict and will willingly comply to all drug panels. Can anyone recommend a psychiatrist in or near Cincinnati as well as a pain management doctor or clinic? Thank you, all, i...

This and pian blockers is all that helps I live in chardon ohio please help me someone thank you so much ! ## Hello, Fastgt! How are you? I'm sorry that you're in pain. Due to the new regulations that were put in place last year by the DEA, you'll need to see a pain management specialist, now. A general practitioner won't be able to prescribe them. Vicodin is listed by the FDA as being a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Soma is a muscle relaxant and its most common side effects may include nausea, dizziness, headache and dry mouth. Do yo...

I Was Placed On Suboxone Twice A Day 8mg 2mg After 4 Hospital Opiate Detox In February2014 Am Now Down To 1 Of 5mg Strip. I have had five horrible nights of tossing, turning, hot bath. I don't want to increase the Sub as every decrease has been an improvement. I took a Flexeril, then took an herbal (Valerian root/Formula 303), with no change. Any suggestions to help me sleep tonight? I'm a zombie!! ## Hello, Sula! How are you? This will most likely start to improve on its own after a few more days. I understand that it's annoying, I am well aware of how bad it can be, since I went cold turkey off high doses of narcotics after being in pain management. Since you'...

I have been on Hydrocodone for 12 yrs.now and it just isn't strong enough to kill the pain any more. It is a fight just to get out of bed. Pl inform tablet for cold, body pain, head ache ## My father has been suffering from bodypains my fathers age is 40 so please inform me regarding tablets ## @vvrr, Sorry to hear about your father's ongoing pain. If this is a chronic condition he may just need to see a pain management specialist in order to receive proper treatment. However if this is something acute/minor, I would just suggest a few over-the-counter options for additional relief. A NSAID such as Aspirin, Ibuprofen, Acetaminophen, or Diclofenac may be helpful in that regard. He might also want to talk with his doctor about a prescription-strength muscle relaxer to help lessen any tension throughout his body. If he prefers a more natural approach, medical cannabis has also proven to be an effective muscle relaxant for m...

Pain management Drs in Florida are more concerned about how much THC you have in your body, rather than trying to fix the problem or give you pain meds. I'm on 10mg Roxicodone 4x a day. The dr I have right now is the second one I'm going to lose this year. They don't understand! If he would give me back my soma rx I wouldn't need that. I have found CBD oil now that helps for the reason I used cannabis. I can't take nsaid's for inflammation so I used cannabis to help with that. I'm supposed to go without pain meds so they can act like gods. Will amendment 2 really help people like me? I can tell you this. When I have my cannabis I make candy with it. I don't take as many pain, muscle or nerve pills. I just don't know what to do! ## I need a doctor to p...
