Since mid July 2014 - critical shortage! This past month we have run into a critical shortage of an important Alzheimer medicine called Namenda, which the manufacturer is discontinuing the 5 and 10 mg versions to change over to their 'new' version Namenda XR. Unfortunately, they are supplying NEITHER version of this drug to pharmacies for over the 6 weeks, and the pharmacies are out! (Walmart, Walgreens, CVS, Costco, RiteAid, Safeway, Giant, Target) MANUFACTURER: FOREST PHARMACEUTICALS. SUPPLIER: MCKESSON. Calling Forest Pharm is useless, they really don't seem to care about the critical shortage of this medication - it is a medication that once you stop it, you can NOT restart it!! That is critical! ## I'm not seeing anything about not being able to restart it, if it...

My pharmacy has changed manufacturers of escitalopram and I feel withdrawal or discontinuation syndrome. Is this normal? ## Hello, Tina! How are you? There can be slight fluctuations in the amount of the active ingredient from one generic to another, so the new one may be a little lower, which could be causing the problem. Have you spoken to your doctor? They may want to prescribe the name brand to avoid this, in the future, or even raise your dose slightly to make up for the discrepancy. The FDA lists the typical side effects of this medication as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and weight changes. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I was taking the Forest Lexapro until 6 weeks ago when I switched to Lundberg (same dosage). 3 weeks ago I started experi...

I NEED TO PICK UP MY OXYCONTON IN BELGIUM AM BRITISH HAVE E U INSURERANCE WUD I NEED A PRESCRICTION ## Hi Tony, Have you already paid a visit with your doctor to obtain a prescription for it? To my understanding, the next step would simply be going into one of the local pharmacies there to see if they'll fill for you. I doubt that the doctor you went to there would even bother to write a script if he knew that you wouldn't be able to fill it. So in that regard, I don't foresee any problems getting your prescription. If however, you have any additional questions or concerns about this, I would also suggest talking to one of the local pharmacies about their foreign policies. Unfortunately it's not just something that can be googled, since policies are subject to change and...

i have balanitis i think i dont know redness on the head and under the foreskin.. can i find terrasil in uae or something equivalent.. many thx ## Terrasil is listed as being a natural herbal product, they claim it contains Colloidial Silver, which can be very dangerous, if used improperly and can cause permanent skin discoloration.. Also, if your condition is caused by an infection, this will not do anything. You will need an antibiotic to properly treat that. Have you seen a doctor, yet? ## There is no colloidal silver in Terrasil. That is an entirely different compound. ## I wanted to add that I work for Aidance Skincare, makers of Terrasil, and we don't use colloidal silver. Our products use a variety of our patented Activated Minerals, essentials oils and other all-natural ingr...

im needing help paying for my savella-and i do not have any insurance ## The manufacturer, Forest Pharmaceuticals has an assistance program for this medication, for uninsured patients. You can call them for more information at 800-851-0758 Many of these programs provide the medications for free to low income people, or on a sliding fee scale. Is there anything else I can help with?

Wegovy and Mounjaro need to be available. Both Novo and Eli cannot manufacture despite willing and paying customers. Since they have no foreseeable capacity to manufacture the medication then why allow them to profit from something they CANNOT make nor hope to make? As a right to lower cost of health we need to forcibly push Congress to take these medications and remove Novo and Eli as holders of patents for which they are incapable of supplying. Eight months waiting. Not a single time filled! ## Why would they do that? The object is to keep legislation status quo because elected officials get very high paying jobs at Pharmaceutical co's when they temporarily leave public service and then re-enter. Your job is to avoid using their products unless it is absolutely necessary.

have forest green, capsule shaped oxycontin CR C-11. Package is a bubble card . Pills are slightly scored with no inscriptions. AAre these real? ## I have these tablets also but don't know if they are real. ## There are not the legal U.S. Oxycontin product manufactured by Purdue Pharma. Those are all round tablets, the old ones had a marking of OC on one side and the number designating the dosage on the other side, while the new formulation replaces the OC with the letters OP. Where were these found/obtained? All U.S. manufactured prescription medications will have unique markings of some type to enable their identification. ## I have these also, they are past expiration date and had no effect when I took one..I haven't found 1 person who can validate whether these are real or n...

I know the reps for the drug lexapro does this and several other compamies too, can someone help with this? ## I think Forest Pharmaceuticals, the maker of Lexapro, did have an assistance program where your Dr. made out an RX of 90 pills, signed it on his/her letterhead, mailed it in, and they'd fill it for free. I myself need to look into whether or not this is still available. Also, I get samples of Lexapro from my Dr. Ask your Dr. if he/she has any samples of Lexapro, or when he/she may be expecting a shipment in...this has really helped me keep the costs down with this med. White oblong tablet with 2 horseshoes & scoring on 1 side & 201 on the other side ## A white oblong tablet with the marking UU separated by a score on side and the numbers 201 on the other side is manufactured by Forest Pharmaceuticals and they list it as containing 7.5mgs of Hydrocodone and 650mgs of Acetaminophen (NDC 0785-1122). This dosage is no longer available, because the FDA changed the regulations and now require all combination medications to contain no more than 325mgs of Acetaminophen per dose, to reduce the risk of Acetaminophen toxicity. Is the main concern with application site the issue of transfer to other surfaces/people/pets etc? I'm having to switch to Foresta from Androgel, and my preferred site for Androgel was the chest/abdomen area, which worked well (verified by blood levels). Fortesta seems to take longer to dry and is irritating my thigh a little, and if transfer is the only issue, I'd like to try it on the chest; I can manage the transfer issue. ## Hello, Brad! How are you? That risk is the only reason they list, but you should double check with your doctor, in case there may be some other issue at play. Learn more Fortesta details here. Is there anything else I can help with?
