I’m 35 years old. I was placed on clozapine at the age of 13. I managed to get my life together, became stable enough to become an inspiration to others by becoming a teacher's assistant teaching barista coffee skills. I'm very upset about jerk doctors who are afraid to prescribe narcotics like Percocet 10mg. Other meds do not work yet some will offer morphine patches. ive been prescribed oxycodone between 5mg up to 30 mg at a time any where from 3 times a day up to 5 times a day. I have a debilitating degenerating bone disease in my hips and lower back have 1 artificial hip awaiting the other replacement ... nothing else helps the pain except medicine that's being highly abused in my area and with recent fear of dr writing scripts its very hard to find a dr who will write them. this has forced me to patron some questionable facilities in the past several years. now im out of options and my family dr doesn't prescribe them. Has anyone had a problem when having to switch their medication to another manufacturer? For the past 4 months I have SUCCESSFULLY been taking Bupropion SR 150 Mg manufactured by Mylan, sold by CVS (it is a light green round pill).....Unfortunately, my insurance recently forced me to go through Medco mail order and I received dark purple round pills manufactured by SANDOZ. Since taking these purple pills I have become sick daily. I have been on methadone for about 6 years and had to start going to a maintenance clinic a few yrs ago after my pain dr lost his license here in Phoenix, Arizona. I tried going to another pain clinic after mine closed but they wanted me off the methadone and forced me to taper off of it in one week and demanded I took gabapentin which DOES NOT work and they didn't care. Anyways, I went to mmt clinic and have been there since but there are so many things wrong with it, I'd end up writing a book. Sadly Glutethimide (Doriden) was discontinued by the last remaining manufacturer Halsey Drug (HD 550 on white round tablet) in late 1992. The DEA practically forced the FDA to make it a schedule ll drug with the ridiculously low quota of six grams. They were the best, especially with codeine ("Hits", "Cibas & codeine "). Yes they were abused but nothing like the opioid abuse epidemic of today. The last countries that used them were Hungary, Romania and Bulgaria. Doriden inducted a liver enzyme CYPD26 if I recall correctly, that made the codeine convert to morphine 80 to 90% instead of the usual 10-15%. It was very long lasting and effective. mylan ## Are you saying there are no markings on the tablet? If there are no markings, it is going to be difficult to narrow down what this is, or even if it is made by Mylan. That company makes both prescription and over the counter items, however, all their prescription products have unique markings on the tablets to enable their identification. Thus, I am forced to conclude that it is probably an OTC item and there are many such products that meet this description. I was forced into taking Caraco Norco. This cheap manufacturer should be banned. Mallinkrodt lasted all 6 hours. Caraco when there was some relief with 2 pills lasted only 3 hours. This is how patients O.D. How do we get this ineffective brand banned? Can we get a legal case going against pharmacies for pushing ineffective meds? Are there many people on this board that are going to a private Dr for pain meds? It seems almost every one is forced to go to a pain clinic and these clinics are horrible with all their rules and the way they treat chronic pain sufferers that are in need of pain medicine. And even worse is a methadone clinic. ## Not all pain clinics are horrible, but yes, some of them are and Methadone clinics are not intended to treat pain patients, they specialize in treating drug addiction. Hi. I have been going through a war now for years trying to manage my pain from my ruptured and bulging disk in my lower back. For years I just dealt with the pain. But about three years ago I was forced into a point that I had to work so I started going to a pain clinic in TN and after a year I moved to Florida for my husband to get treatment for cancer.
