## All my pharmacies here in panama city are also out of the Mallinckrodt brand. I've been taking the Mallinckrodt for years and when I take the other brands it doesn't work like the Mallinckrodt does. What do I need to do to get Mallinckrodt to send more to my pharmacy?

Okay everybody, Mellinckrodt is the Chinese cheap pill that is like taking powder. If you are getting this pill you are getting ripped off and that is that. Watson is good but the reality is rarely will you get something that is what it says it is unless it is a pharmaceutical non generic pain killer period. The feds hate the drug and all pain killers and the FDA don't give a s*** so maybe you get a good batch in your prescription refill or you don't. That will depend on what pharmacy you fill your prescription from.

will a 1/2 pill of mallinckrodt 10-325 and will it last as long as a full pill with half the strength? ## Hello, Priscilla! How are you? You mean 10mgs of Oxycodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen? This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. If so, then in theory, yes it should work that way. Is there anything else I can help with?

I wished I could take these back, but I'm sure they won't take back?I feel like I'm going to suffer for a month?? ## Yes, this tablet is manufactured by Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals and they list it as containing 10mgs of Oxycodone, and 325mgs of Acetaminophen. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, dry mouth, constipation, and headache. There c...

I have been taking hydrocodone manufactured by Mallinckrodt for years, I recently renewed my rx and they gave me hydrocodone manufactured by Watson, I found these do NOT work as well. I called the pharmacy and they told Mallinckrodt discontinued producing hydrocodone. Is this true? If so does anybody know of a manufacturer that is equivalent to Mallinckrodt? ## Hi I have been taking vicodin For a long time.but from different manufacturers. And recently I got some a couple of days Ago,and it was generic for lortab.it is called norco.and it said generic for lortab.I don't know Who the manufactor is. But it is stronger.and only 325 mg.of tylenol. I take 7.5.I don't know what you take but it is stronger I guess bc it has less tylenol. You could research it and see.or just research t...

I take 30mg of methadone for 2 ruptured disc's L4,L5 along with 40mgs of hydrocodone for 5years now,I have been getting the mallinckrodt but this time pharmacy gave me the asc116 round tabs and I noticed my pain breaking through sooner and having to take them early than the mallinckrodt. Was wondering if there was a difference in them I thought by law they would have the same milligrams in them. ## Hello, James! How are you? I am very sorry about the problem you're experiencing. Under the Hatch-Waxman Act of 1984 generics are allowed to differ from the name brand by as much as plus, or minus 20% of the active ingredient(s), however, sometimes issues occur, because generics do not have to measure against each other, only against the name brand. Thus, there's a chance that this...

I have always got the yellow 4mg Dilaudids and they worked great. This month I got white ones (4mg) that are manufactured by Mallinckrodt. They don't work at all. I need to take two to even get any relief and it is not much. What is the difference between the two? ## @iceangel, Usually when you receive a tablet that looks different from what you're used to getting, it's often the result of differences in the list of inactive ingredients; even if the dosage remains the same. If you happen to know the imprint on both tablets I can post a list of binders/fillers used in each one for a closer look at what makes them different aside from the apparent yellow dye. From what I've been led to believe, certain types of fillers can't actually be metabolized by our bodies and be...

I have been using brand name Norco 10 325 for some time. recently because of the DEA I cannot get them and nowi mallinckrodt s the only drug my pharmacy sells. I have read so many bad things about them on the internet, frankly I am about to have a nervous breakdown as I recently had rotator cuff surgery and I have to have the pain control to complete my therapy. I have heard good things but everyone says that the one to say the good things are crazy. help!!! ## I understand your concern, however, the only way to know if they will help you, or not, is to actually try them! You're not doing yourself any good by getting upset over it, please calm down. :-) It isn't that the people on either side of what you've read are crazy, it's that everyone is different, so some may not...

I have been taking the generic form of Orange Oblong shaped form of Norco which is hydrocodone 7.5 which was working fine until they changed it to a pill with the markings M366. These things are absolutely worthless. Does Mallinckrodt plan on going out of business soon or are they going to remove these from the pharmacies. I'm sending samples of mine to the FDA to see what's wrong with them. ## I've used Qualitest 3605 for years and I agree, the Mallinckrodt M366 are substantially inferior (bio-equivalence) for pain relief. My current Part D insurance uses Walmart Home Delivery. I've called them and complained. ## They do not work. I have been spending most of my time in bed since getting my prescription from Walgreens with mfg Mallinckrodt. I believe that they are place...

V 35 92 is made by Qualitest, an American Company in Alabama....they make a very good Xanax bar.... ## Hello, The imprint in the title and the description of your post are different so I will do my best to find a match for both of them. I have identified the V 35 92 imprint as Acetaminophen and hydrocodone bitartrate 500 mg / 5 mg; a combination of two types of pain medicine used to treat moderate to severe pain. The manufacture is Qualitest pharmaceuticals like Four Corner UNC Offense mentioned. National Drug Code (NDC): 00603-3881 You can learn more about this drug on the page for Acetaminophen + Hydrocodone Details The pill with the imprint M357, manufactured by Mallinckrodt pharmaceuticals, contains the same amount of Acetaminophen and Hydrocodone as the previous pill I identified (...

My wife has been prescribed norco 10/325mg and has tried different mfg's due to different phamacy's brand they carry, she states that only Mallinckro works to stop the pain from two spinal fusions and a broken hip and femor. What pharmacy carries this brand, we got it when we were with kaiser and now we are with scan and cannot seem to obtain this mfg. ???? thanks Jim ## There is actually no way to know which generic that any given pharmacy is carrying, at any given time. It can vary, depending on which manufacturer is offering the cheapest price, when they they need to restock their supply. Have you tried asking the pharmacy if they can order the other in for her? ## WALMART they only carry this brand for it is not popular on the streets ## Is there anyone out there that not on...

I just moved here to the suburbs of Atlanta (Woodstock) from NJ and I am having a very difficult time finding a pain management doctor. I currently take 90mg of oxycodone and 60mg of methadone for chronic neck and back pain. Two of the doctors that were on my BC/BS provider website told me that they could not treat me and made me feel like I was on a high amount of pain medications. In NJ my pain management doctor had been prescribed that amount for years and I never got the impression it was a big deal. But here in Georgia it looks like I am going to have some problems. Can anyone out there recommend a good pain management doctor in the Woodstock Georgia area that is not afraid to treat a person that has legitimate pain management issues. I am starting to get the impression that I migh...

Does anyone know how it is made? Does it have the medicine woven into the fabric of the patch or is it in a pouch form? Thank you. ## No, I'm sorry, due to the risks of then being abused, such as people trying to smoke the medication from a patch, they no longer publicly list the specifics of its make up. They are really only required to list it with the FDA safety filings anyway, so they can get away with doing this quite easily. Learn more Fentanyl details here. Have you gotten some manufactured by them from your pharmacy? ## If the patch has a gel filled pouch....what would the gel be there for if it wasn't impregnated with the medicine? ## I have been using Fentanyl patches for about 2 years, the 75 Mcg. I usually get the Mylan brand. Drug store was low on the Wty they had s...

This medication is weak compared Actavis oxycodone ## Hi Jay, How would you rank the mallinckrodt vs actavis on a scale on 1-10? I know a lot of patients who've been used to taking certain brands have also complained about actavis as well, but in my experience I'm finding the that primary differences people have are based on a variety of individual factors; such as tolerance, age, weight, metabolism, etc. Not only that but because both manufacturers use a different set of "inactive" ingredients (binders/fillers), this could also influence how much of the oxycodone is actually being metabolized and used by your body at any given time. These are the fillers used in mallinckrodt's (M 30) oxycodone 30mg tablet: microcrystalline cellulose + lactose monohydrate + stearic a...

Mallinckrodt oxycodone 52/50 Does this pill contain 325 mg Acetaminophen plus 5mg Oxy ? ## No, the tablet with the M 0552 marking just contains 5mgs of Oxycodone, which is a narcotic analgesic and does not contain any Acetaminophen. It may cause side effects, such as nausea, headache, dry mouth and dizziness. Learn more: Is there anything else I can help with? ## To be honest with you I have never seen or heard of that 52/50 are you sure it doesn't say 5/250 that would make a lot more sense to me and that would imply that it contains 250mg of acetaminophen ## Yup I have 05/52 pill it's an regular oxycodone 5 mg

I have been prescribed Watson brand Norco for years. Recently I was given this same drug made by a different manufacturer (Mallinckrodt). This formulation gave me headaches, cramps, hives and I'm vomiting. Why? ## Hi Lee, Whenever you switch manufacturers of the same drug, there's almost always going to be a difference in inert ingredients (binders & fillers) that make up the composition of the pill. Some people are more sensitive (or allergic) than others to these changes and that in itself may be a culprit for possible side effects. Something else worth noting is that different binding agents can affect bioavailability, which in turn means you get more or less of the actual active ingredient, potentially bringing about an onset of withdrawal symptoms. Unfortunately, determ...

I’ve gone thru several variants of Percocet 10/325 over the past 20 years, (7 C-spine surgeries and 3 lumbar spine surgeries, and still suffer horrible pain on a daily basis). Endocet is one of the only meds that works for me, doesn’t make me sick to my stomach, nor any side effects. (I haven’t had to have any increases in strength or amount of daily intake, so I’m pleased with the Endocet)... But my cost has gone up to $159 for a one month supply (150 tabs), which is tough for me to handle financially. My ‘local Mom & Pop pharmacy’ suggested I try the Malinkrodt generic as it’s cost is much lower. I’m just concerned that it won’t work as well, or won’t agree with me. Has anyone had any good or bad experiences with the Mali...
