I just moved here to the suburbs of Atlanta (Woodstock) from NJ and I am having a very difficult time finding a pain management doctor. I currently take 90mg of oxycodone and 60mg of methadone for chronic neck and back pain. Two of the doctors that were on my BC/BS provider website told me that they could not treat me and made me feel like I was on a high amount of pain medications. In NJ my pain management doctor had been prescribed that amount for years and I never got the impression it was a big deal. But here in Georgia it looks like I am going to have some problems. Been taking oxycodone 10-325 by another company called alvogen and I got these 10-325 with m523 on the back with this company's name (mallinckrodt). Are they the same as hydrocodone? It does not relieve pain very well. ## Yes, they contain the same active ingredients, but there can be fluctuations from one generic to another. Under the Hatch-Waxman Act of 1984, they are allowed to differ from the name brand by as much as plus, or minus 20%, and they don't have to measure against each other, just the name brand. Thus, it is possible that these ones are a little lower than the others, so they may not work as well as for you. However, since the differences are slight, your body should adjust in a week, or so. My pharmacy switched from Kvk-tech to Mallinckrodt and I don't not have any effect at all with the Mallinckrodt. I think its a fake pill actually and want to save mine just to get it evaluated for potency. I usually had to only take one maybe 2 a day when it was Kvk-tech but since they switched, I take 3-4 and don't even feel it.. There should be some way to audit these pills? Any help on how I can get it evaluated? I am going to try to get another brand but as you may know, you can't call a pharmacy any more to find what kind of prescriptions they have. Hi All, I experience pretty severe neuropathic pain due to a spinal injury. I have a Baclofen pump which also contains hydromorphone but still get a lot of breakthrough pain. I've been taking oxycodone for 8ish yrs. and the pills I was prescribed those first few yrs. did a good job at treating the pain. I've had to change pharmacies and notice lately the oxycodone 30s I've been given lately do little or NOTHING! Especially the Mallinckrodt! My doc prescribed 3 30mg pills a day but I had to munch 5 of the Mallinckrodts in a 4 hour period and still got barely any relief. I was worried I'd get constipated big time after taking that many pills several days in a row but I didn't (because they're so damn weak!) I don't know the mfg. of the oxys I was taking yrs ago...

My pharmacy has swicthed to these from the small blue ones ,they still work on my back and hip pain but seem to set of migrain symptoms.there so much bigger I'm wondering what the filler is. I have received M30s, oxycodone 30mg immediate release, otherwise known as Roxicodone 30mgs. These were dispensed by an FDA licensed pharmacy. But there is no effect whatsoever and I am quite confused. How could a licensed pharmacy legally possess and distribute a tablet that is a fake imitation not made by Mallinckrodt? Had a Septoplasty and bil submucous resection turbinates today; was given a rx for this pain med and had it filled at CVS. I don't take pain medications in daily life. It has not effect at all...it's not that it is not strong enough...it just does nothing. I'm not allowed to take an NSAID or Tyl OTC so needless to day I'm miserable tonight. what is the difference of the letter m and letter a ## If you are referring to pill logos, then that would mean they are being made different manufacturers. When a medication is released for generic production, several companies usually pick it up and start making it. All tablets have to have unique markings on them, to enable their identification. M is a logo commonly used by Mallinckrodt pharmaceuticals and the A has been used by Abbott. Do you have any other questions? ## i know that "30s" come in light blue with markings of A, M, V. I think i took a white oblong capsule i was told it was outdone instant relief 5mg. I can't remember the exact numbers on them. I know it started with a 0 and had the number 4 in it. The pharmacy that I use changed my brand of Oxycodone every month. Where can I find a pharmacy that stocks the M F brand that I am used to taking? And why to different brands have a different effect on me? What the different of oxycodone Kvk-tech and The oxycodone mallinkrdt ## What is the difference between oxycodone w/apap 5/325 (mck) and oxycodone hcl 5 mg tablet kvk? ## The only difference is that they have been manufactured by different companies. The MCK or Mallinkrdt denotes the manufacturer as being Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals and the KVK is for KVK Tech. Once a medication is available as a generic, it is usually made by several different companies, so this is completely normal. Is there anything else I can help with?

They do not work and I get extra headaches from this pill/brand. I DONT HAVE ANY PROBLEMS with Mallinckrodt but these suck. ## @jojo, Sorry to hear about your troubling experience with KVK Tech. According to a number of threads I’ve seen here on this site, KVK Tech is being widely regarded as one those Oxycodone manufacturers that people should steer clear of, since their tablets aren’t providing anywhere near the amount of relief as other brands/generics. However, if Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals is what works best for you, I would just encourage you to ask your doctor to specifically write that down on your prescription, based on it’s proven track record to help manage your level of pain.
