I have experienced chronic, generalized pain due to Fibromyalgia, Osteoarthritis, Osteoporosis, and various other maladies. I am only 55 years old and suffer from severe, advanced C.O.P.D. I have less than 30% usage of my lungs. I don't have long to live, so it is difficult to understand why these doctors are so paranoid re' prescribing!! I was prescribed Darvocet until it was removed from the market, and then placed on Vicodin. The Vicodin helped me enormously; pain free. I cannot take the medications approved by the FDA for Fibromyalgia (i.e., Lyrica, Cymbalta, etc.), as I experience adverse side effects.
