Making Hydrocodone

My Dr prescribed hydrocodone a month ago. I took one pill and immediately got extremely dizzy and nauseous. I did not take any more of them but am still dizzy and nauseous if I move too much or too fast. Even reading or watching tv and having things move is making me sick. I would like to know if this is normal or OK to still be dealing with this and what if anything could help? ## No, it is not normal to continue experiencing such side effects, if you have not continued taking it. The FDA lists the typical side effects as being transient and they generally go away a week, or so after you stop taking it. If you are still experiencing such issues, you need to have these issues checked out as it may be due to some other cause. What was this medication prescribed to treat? Are you on any o...

I recently moved to a very small town and when I transferred my prescriptions to the small chain pharmacy my norcos are now a oval white pill with a score on one side and a U03 on other. They work just as good but I'm curious as to why there diffrent or who makes them? I find very little info on them using google. Any one have any info to share? This is like a mom and pop very small town pharacy and i basically just want toake sure there not making these themselves or something. Pharmacy says other same as my yellow norcos just diffrent supplier ## Hello, Davod! How are you? No, they aren't making these themselves. They are legitimate and FDA approved, they are manufactured by Aurolife Pharma LLC. They contain 10mgs of Hydrocodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen. This is a narcotic ...

I've found that i have to take twice as much of this medicie to get the same effect as the m357 hydrocodone, it's not the same ## The pill in description marked 3592 is Acetaminophen (500 mg) + Hydrocodone (5 mg). As for the other pill in description, marked M357, it has the same dosage that is Acetaminophen (500 mg) + Hydrocodone bitartrate (5 mg). It could be the bitartrate making the difference. I am not an MD so I cannot clarify that is the case. For more information about this drug, please refer to the link below... If you have any more questions or concerns, please post back and I will be happy to help you.

Text alerts plz.on prescription drugs. ## Hello, Shawnquita! How are you? I'm sorry, but this site doesn't offer a text alert service. However, there is an email newsletter you can sign up, by putting your email address in the box, when making or responding to a post. The tablet with the IP 466 marking actually contains 800mgs of Ibuprofen, so it is not any type of narcotic. It is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory that's used to treat pain, fever and swelling. Its side effects may include nausea, dizziness, headache, stomach irritation and increased risk of bleeding. Is there anything else I can help with?

I seem to have a very smart Doctor. He prescribed Norco 10-325 for post surgical pain. The first bottle gave me nothing but relief. The refill, at a different pharmacy, caused unbelievable itching all over and down my throat. I called and told him he had me look up the mfgr on the bottle. It was Qua. He said my problem is the dye used in the second batch. He re prescribed to the original pharmacy and got the Norco manufactured by Watson. If you are taking an opiate that is making you itch, have your doctor re prescribe from a pharmacy that uses the pill made by a different mfgr. You are probably not allergic to opiates or Codiene after all. ## Hello, Charliemike! How are you? I am very sorry about the problem that you experienced. However, I would like to clarify that while this may be ...

Dr switched me to Tylenol 4 from hydrocodone. It's making me itch with a rash. Why? ## Hello, Doug! How are you? With the itch, it is likely that you're having an allergic reaction and those just tend to get worse, with repeated exposure. Thus, you need to inform your doctor as this probably isn't a good medication for you to take. Other symptoms of an allergic reaction, as listed by the FDA, may possibly include dizziness, swelling and trouble breathing. Is there anything else I can help with?

I take Qualitest 10/500 pink hydrocodone. My pharmacy has told me that Qualitest will no longer be making this. I have tried other 10/500 pills to no avail. Qualitest is the only manufacturer that works on my pain . Does Qualitest offer another size ? ## Hello, Ted! How are you doing? Actually, after the first of the year (2014), none of the manufacturers will be making this dosage, anymore. Due to the risks of liver damage or failure that can occur with long-term use of high amounts of Acetaminophen, as well as the overdose fatalities that have occurred with these medications, the FDA has requested that all combination prescription products be lowered to contain no more than 325mgs of Acetaminophen, per dose. pink tablet with a v on one side and 3600 on the other ## extreve back ages, disconfort ## This tablet was manufactured by Vintage Pharmaceuticals and contained 10mgs of Hydrocodone, and 500mgs of Acetaminophen. This dosage is no longer available in the U.S. The FDA warns that this medication carried the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation. The maximum dosage available now is 10mgs of Hydrocodone with 325mgs of Acetaminophen. Is there anything I can help with? ## Yes,I just bought some v3600 pink pills ,when did they stop making them and are they better than a Norco ip110 ## Why are the v3600 so much stronger ## I'm new at this ,so yaw help me out with med questions. Thanks

I read a while back that the FDA among others were trying to start making hydrocodone without the acetaminophen in it. I was wondering if anyone knows if this is true and when it would happen. ## They actually do make Hydrocodone without acetaminophen. It goes by the name of Vicoprofen, which contains Hydrocodone + Ibuprofen, in replace of acetaminophen. I also came across an article that mentioned a new drug (the one you may be referring to), consisting of only extended released Hydrocodone. It is supposed to be out on the market by early 2013: z6mag.com/featured/hydrocodone-without-acetaminophen-10-times-stronger-than-vicodin-being-created-164049.html I hope this helps! ## That article was what I was referring to. Thanks!

Did waston quit making the green 10/650?this is what my pharmacist told me when I got my last script, gave me a flat white pill that does nothing to relieve my pain. ## HI, Flash! Sorry that you're so miserable, I do understand. There are actually two issues at play here…. The first is that Watson had some issues with customers being sensitive/allergic to the dyes in their products, so they have been changing them to remove the dyes and, while they claim that is the only change that's been made, many people are complaining that they are no longer effective at treating pain. The second issue is that due to concerns over overdose toxicity and the possibility of liver damage from long term use of high amounts, the FDA has requested that all manufacturers lower the amount of Ac...

did they quite making hydrocod/apap10-500mg tab because they are not the same that they give me now they are call Norco 10-325mg tab and the ones I was taken was lortab what the differ in them please help me to no all about this the 10-500 help my back so much and now the don't help as much why. ## Hello, Jeannie! How are you? Yes, as of the first of the year, they are only available with a maximum of 325mgs of Acetaminophen per dose, just like the new one you are taking. The Acetaminophen tends to augment the action of the narcotic, that's why the new one doesn't seem to work as well for you. However, your body should adjust after a week or two. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, d...

What is it going to been my med filled ## Hi Mary, I'm not aware of any current shortages for generic Norco, as there are no official announcements on the FDA's drug shortage list (linked below): accessdata.fda.gov/scripts/drugshortages You may want to ask the pharmacy you go to if it would still be available at a different dosage/quantity than you're used to receiving from your doctor; (after of course making him aware of what's going on as well). From what I've heard in other threads, sometimes they wont fill your script if the dosage or quantity is more than they are prepared to dispense. So any adjustments to that might make it a little easier to fill your script on a regular basis. However I would also encourage you to check with other pharmacies in your area as...

Although many have said one drug is the same as the other I find that Qualitest hydrocodone 10/325 seems to not affect me as far as making me drowsy and extremely tired. It does so help with the pain but it does not make me so I can not function. The other manufacturer Mallincor (spelling not right) their hydrocodone makes me so tired I have to literally go to bed. Strange I think that if two drugs are identical how can they have different effects to you. I prefer to not take any hydrocodone but until I am through this pain I prefer to take the one that does not comatose me. ## While they contain the same active ingredients, there can be fluctuations in the amount of them that are in generic medications, additionally, the inactive ingredients can be entirely different. Thus, the one fro...

Hydrocodone Apap 5 500 Tablet. Wanting to make sure this is the right medication in an old bottle. White tablet with red specks imprint on one side Watson other side 3202. Thanks ## Yes, this is a generic for Vicodin or Norco, but it is the 5/325mg dosage. You can learn more Vicodin details here. All such tablets will be changed to contain only 325mgs of Acetaminophen by January of 2014, due to the new FDA directive. Some manufacturers are already making the changes. Are there any questions or comments?

Are they still making the round white Watson 10-325? After being on them for yrs for pain for my back all of a sudden the pharmacy changes to another that's A333. Not working nearly as well. But was also told that Watson was bought out. Unfortunately I'm one of those people that can't cant generics, & have the perfect formula for my medication til they just threw a wrench in it. Now I'm lost & not sure where to go or what 2 do. Any advise? ## No, that generic is also not being manufactured. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. The best suggestion I can make is that you speak to your doctor about trying an alternative medication. Does...

My doctor gave me this medication for pain? What can you tell me about it? ## My son was given IC Hydrocodone-APAP 5-500 Tablran for pain when he broke a finger. It made him very sick and disoriented. What was in this medication that he could be reacting to? ## yellow oblong pill with 36/01 or 10/96 on front withfancy v on back ## the yellow oblong pill has 10/93 or 36/01 one side and fancy v on back ## Jodi, that medication is Hydrocodone with Acetaminophen, a generic for Vicodin or Lortab, the Hydrocodone is a Narcotic, which is probably what caused the side effect of making him sick, that is very common with these types of medications, especially if you aren't used to them. Someone taking them may also experience: drowsiness, dizziness, constipation and dry mouth. You can read mo...

I have liquid vicodin that expired 5 months ago. Will it be ok for me to still take it? It's 7.5mg per 15 ml. ## It would be best not to do so, liquid medications can actually 'go sour', so to speak, once expired and it could make you sick, if you take. If you still need such a medication, it would be best to see your doctor for a new supply. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth. Is there anything else I can help with? ## How long does liquid hydrocodone last in the refrigerator without making you sick past the expiration date? ## Is liquid hydrocodone still safe to take if it's only two months past its expiration date? ## My liquid hydrocodo...

I have experienced many generic brands, including Watson and Qualitest. My pharmacy just changed to the Amneal brand 10-325 hydrocodone/APAP. I am just not sure what to think about this. The pills have an IP on them. What have been the experiences of others taking this specific generic brand? ## Because these drugs can affect each individual differently, my opinion is that trial and error through one's own personal experience is the only way to accurately judge the efficacy of a specific tablet. On the other hand, I do get the sense that some brands/generics are manufactured with less quality inactive ingredients than others, potentially making them more prone to cause side effects or placebo-like responses from varying degrees of bioavailability. I haven't taken the Amneal bran...

massive headaches and vomiting... This occurs with Vicodin, Oxycodone, Norco etc. I was told that they all are derivatives from codeine with other ingredients mixed in so they all have this effect.. What else can I use for pain control? ## Hello, Orlena! How are you? Those can be normal side effects of this medication, according to the FDA, you may also experience dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth, and constipation. Thus, that is a risk for virtually anything you try that is an opiate. Have you tried making sure that you don't take it on an empty stomach?

Have kidney stone and was prescribed Hydro/Apap 5-325. Says to take 1 tablet every six hours. Took half a tablet four hours ago because a whole tablet was making me sick and dizzy. Half a tablet is doing nothing at this point, so can I take tylenol after four hours or do I have to wait until six hours? ## Can I you take zolnoks 10mg half tab every 6 hours throughout the day and night? My mother who is 71 years old had a knee replacement and zolnoks seem to help taken with pain medicine, senaleve. ## Hello, Calchandl! How are you? Sorry about the kidney stone, I had one last year and they are very painful. Nausea and dizziness can be normal side effect of narcotic analgesics, such as this. Have you tried taking them with food? That might help prevent the nausea, while enabling you to tak...
