I have been treated for chronic back pain for about ten years and have a spotless record of compliance. I have no insurance so have to pay the bills out of pocket. About three years ago I was paying 40 dollars for a 30 day script of methadone. 10mg 3 times a day. Then the price went to 74.00 per month. then to 162.00 per month. Hello, I am looking for a doctor that is willing to prescribe the narcotics I need in order to live a quality life. I have been dealing with chronic pain for 36 of my 47 years. I have a multitude of medical conditions that cause chronic intractable pain. I also metabolize opioids quickly and so the ultra low doses do not help me. I'm a good person with a kind heart and all I want is to get my life back on track. I suffer from severe anxiety and my Dr is more set on me getting with a god therapist. I personally feel that my anxiety would be far more manageable and easier to overcome with the aid of xanax or valium. ## I feel you. I have been with a doctor for a little over six years. I live in central Maine and my prior psych doc "moved out of state..." I've heard many different rumors but point being- he left me high and dry not giving me any references/referrals, nothing at all. My doc new I was planning on finishing up my prerequisites, move forward with attending interviews for a job but.... I have been going to a methadone clinic for 7 years i have m\s and it works great for my pain but its 88 miles from my house and the drive is becoming too much. Hi. I have been taking oxy 15's four times a day for the past five years. I have gone through two doctors, as the constant drug testing and pill counts have resulted in unfair dismissals from wonderful physicians who had no choice, as it was hospital policy. I am so tired of being treated like a drug seeker. I suffer from degenerative arthritis in my hips, bulging discs in lumbar spine, fibromyalgia, sacroiliac joint dysfunction as well as depression and panic disorder. I am in Maine. My doctor is retiring and I need to find a new one. Many doctors are reluctant to prescribe alprazolam for long periods of time. I have had anxiety most of my life and then it turned into full blown panic attacks. After many other medications and alternative treatments my doctor eventually put me on alprazolam. That turned out to be the only medication that worked. I have been with my doctor for a little over six years and now he is retiring. I am currently on 4 MSG of Alprazolam and he would give me five refills. The most refills he could give me by law. Our 13 year old Maine Coon mix is in the last stages of renal failure. We didn't know anything was wrong until about a month ago when she stopped eating. It's been up and down ever since her diagnosis. Our vet prescribed Mirtazapine but, after reading the many negative comments, we put off giving it to her as long as we could. We finally had to because the effects of not eating in cats are liver shutdown and death. She's had no serious adverse reaction to Mirtazapine, and it has definitely helped her appetite. It is buying her a little more quality time with us. I want to voice my feelings towards an office in brunswick, maine. It's called sweetser on bath rd in brunswick and its the most unreal uncaring place I've ever been. I will say I started going there about 9 months ago coming out of the mentel unit and was seeing a pca named margret s. Murphy and was a mess when I first seen her but with a lot of talking and medication ajustments she had me feeling the best I have ever felt.
