Magnesium Have Sulfa

I am taking nature's bounty, magnesium 250mg for leg cramps. I am experiencing some break outs. Although sulfa isn't listed in the ingredients. Does it contain sulfa ## No, they do not. However, it could just be your body reacting to the magnesium itself. While, over the long-term, magnesium can help resolve acne, suddenly starting it may cause brief unexpected break outs, just like when you start any other acne medication. You should also be aware that as reported by the U.S. FDA, it may cause diarrhea. That said, you should be aware that leg cramps are most often caused by being low in potassium, they are not caused as often by low levels of magnesium and calcium. I am allergic to sulfa antibiotics and was wondering something. I've noticed when I take magnesium sulfate/epsom salt bath that I can hardly function for two or three days from the pain. I won't take them anymore, but is there a correlation? ## They are not the same substance, but it is a known fact that when you are allergic to one substance, you will eventually find more that you are also allergic to, it is just the nature of the beast. However, allergies don't normally cause pain, they usually involved problems breathing, throat swelling, soft tissue swelling, itchy skin rashes, and etc. What type of pain are you experiencing? Is it skin sensitivity, muscle pain, or something else?

I'm allergic to sulfa can I take chantix ## Hi tj, According to the FDA, Chantix reportedly contains the following list of inactive ingredients: microcrystalline cellulose, anhydrous + dibasic calcium phosphate + croscarmellose sodium + colloidal silicon dioxide + magnesium stearate + Opadry® White (for 0.5 mg) + Opadry® Blue (for 1 mg) + Opadry® Clear. To the best of my knowledge, none of these ingredients show any relation to sulfa. However, I still think it would be wise to double check with the doctor who's prescribing it just to be on the safe side. I hope this helps!

Is there any Sulfa in this tablet? I have had all day headaches, nausea and a feeling of malaise. These are side effects that I have because I am extremely allergic to sulfa medications and food. ## No, there is no sulfa in the name brand tablets of Methylin, the active ingredient is Methlyphenidate and the inactives are: lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, and talc. What you are experiencing though, can be side effects of the tablet, which should wear off, after a few weeks as your body adjusts to the medication. I AM VERY ALLERGIC TO SULPHUR AND RECENTLY STARTED TAKING SUBOXONE AND STARTED HAVING SOME OF THE SAME SIDE EFFECTS!SO I WAS JUST WONDERING IF THERE IS ANY SULPHUR IN THE PILL SUBOXONE. ## The active ingredients in the name brand Suboxone are Buprenorphine and Naloxone. The inactive ingredients are lactose, mannitol, cornstarch, povidone k30, citric acid, sodium citrate, FD&C yellow no. 6, magnesium stearate, Acesulfame K sweetener and lemon lime flavoring. Based on that, not there doesn't appear to be any sulphur in it. Has anyone used the new SUPREP kit before a colonoscopy? Would like any comments about taste, ease or side effects. Thanks! ## The Suprep kit contains sodium sulfate, magnesium sulfate and potassium sulfate, it is used for bowel preparation. It basically works as a laxative. I can't think that combo would taste very well, though I have never used it. The most common listed side effects are: cramping, nausea, vomiting and abdominal discomfort. Does anyone else have anything to add? ## Sulfates have a bitter taste, hence the development of PEG bowel cleansing products without sulfate such as Nulytely or Trilyte.
