Macrobid Caps 100mg
3 Topics FoundI have a 4 month old standard poodle that has a trace go blood in her urine. (confirmed by a human u/a strip borrowed from an adult clinic). I have a few macrobid 100 mg capsules left over from a previous UTI will it be safe to give to her until I can get to the vet on Wednesday? She is approx. 35 lbs. Will 100mg be too much for her little tummy and what are the risks involved if I do/ don't treat her now? Thanks for any advice, Mom of a poodle

A far as dissolving the medication goes, it would probably break down well in lemon juice or anything of the sort. I would dilute it with some water after dissolving it in the juice though, just so it doesn't taste as acidic.
