I had asked my pharmacist how my last prescription I got there of 30mg MS Contin was 3 times the size of the other. One was red and huge and the other was blue and smaller than a aspirin .She acted like I was stupid and just kept repeating they were both 30mg of morphine. No s*** really? Anyway I figure one is full of garbage filler and the other was cleaner? I just don't know but would rather put the least amount of garbage into my body as possible.Anybody have a clue on how one pill could be soooo much bigger and what is in it? ## Yes, you're right, one was likely full of inactive filler ingredients and it just suited the manufacturer's fancy to make them that size. I have had Script of 15 mg. oxycodone for years. 3 a day. I was moving and took a couple more than I should have so I ran out. I borrowed 2 30 mg. blue with 215 on one side and used a pill splitter to cut them in half. I usually never overdo it, because I don't like the high feeling, I just want my knee pain controlled. These things do not react on me the same. They made me nervous, dizzy, short of breath. It is actually kind of creepy! Does anyone know what the problem could be? I took half this morning about 6:30 and another half about 2 PM. Both times they made me sick. Is there a difference in them? ## Hello, Vic! How are you doing? While they both contain Oxycodone, as listed by the FDA, you may have gotten a little more than usual since you cut them, which could explain such s...

Long story short, my new insurance will not cover 1/3 of my 30 mg oxycontin. I notice on my breakthrough meds, Oxycodone 20 mg, the bottle says, "Generic for Roxicodone." Is there another name for Oxycodone that my insurance will cover? Btw, my ins. will cover 4 a day 60 mg and the same for 80 mg! I am only asking for 3 a day of the 30 mg! What is funny is playing with insurance coverage online, I put in 100 pills a day for oxycodone, and my insurance will approve! Really? I realize that would never happen, but I am just saying, they have got their heads up their..... ## No, there is no other name for Oxycontin, the active ingredient is Oxycodone in a time released formulation, but it isn't available as a generic anymore. I just went to my pain management appointment, which I go to every month and have been told to find another office. My usual doctor had been on maternity leave since July this year, however she never returned. I had still been receiving my regularly prescribed meds by a nurse practitioner covering for her. Now on this most recent appointment, last week, there is a new pain intervention specialist that refuses to continue to prescribe narcotic pain meds. She said that she would start giving me inj's. next month, if not, I am to find another doctor. I have hemiplegia, right side from a failed neurostimulator implant, 3 cervical spine herniated disks and am in constant pain. So what the hell am I supposed to do now?

I live in Philadelphia Pennsylvania and I need to have a doctor who is willing to work with my schedule because I travel 8 weeks I'm gone and then I come back for 2 weeks another 8 weeks I'm gone then I came back for another 2 weeks so the doctor I was saying I was getting a prescription for oxycodone 30 milligrams, but because of my travel and work he shut me off because he thought I wasn't taking it so I need some help does anybody have any suggestions for a doctor in Philadelphia Pennsylvania ## Hello, Jendank! How are you? Sorry about the problem you had with your doctor. i get oxycodone 30 mg pascribed to me every month but i always have trouble finding them ,i have insurance is there any other way for me to get them . ## Do you have a pharmacy that you use regularly? If so, since this is a regular and recurring prescription, they should be able to order them in for you. Another relevant questions is, how are you going about trying to find them? If you are just calling the pharmacies, rather than going in, with prescription in hand, you are probably not going to get truthful answers. When it is just a voice on the phone, they have no way of knowing if they are talking to an actual customer or a potential robber. Thus, in most cases, due to the high risk of theft, they will not actually tell you the truth about controlled substances. You can also check a...

I have been prescribed Roxicodone for the last 5 years and the price has always stayed the same, now for the last 2 months everyone I know that gets them has complained that the price has doubled and that in January they are going to gel.Does anyone know the reason for this.I live in Tennessee, and is the gel true? ## This is just my opinion, but I believe one of a few possible reasons behind the significant price increase and change in formulation is somewhat due to the increasingly large number of people buying the drug just to abuse it. This is the reason why Oxycodone changed their formulation to the new OPs. Roxicodone is just another brand name of Oxycodone; so I'm thinking the manufacturer's have a similar idea in mind which may or may not cost more to produce. In the end i...

They're so much bigger, I sure hope they do because right now I'm getting no relief from my er opana 20mg. One more question, I heard the generic er oxymorphone is better than er Opana, true or false? ## Hello, Tammy! How are you? Have you tried them, yet? There's really no way to say that any particular one is better than another, because we are all different, so what works for one person may not work for another. I am vacationing in Florida all week, and my Rx for 30 mg oxycodone tablets has come up missing. I have already contacted my doctor and he informed me there is nothing he can do about it. I really do not want pain to ruin my vaca, or go through withdrawal symptoms. ANY SOLUTIONS?? ## Where are you vacationing from? Another state? ## Yes, Ohio. Went to Sea World with the kids today and was close to miserable. Tried not to show it. ## That's a tough one. If you were lucky enough to find a caring clinic that would prescribe narcotics to an out-of-state resident, I would imagine it is going to be very expensive. Good luck to you.

I have been taking this drug for 11 yrs.. i seen a drug rep's book on pain med's, it read generics can be made with up to but not more than 60% less active ingredient. That why the brand med's only work and the others usually just make you sick to your stomach. That why they can charge you so much less. Think about, when your in the hospital they only use brand medicine and they work there. Then you go home and your insurance company gives you generics ay a third of the cost and no help. Just sick to death. you another one, but it only gets worst. that the dirt little secret. they lie. ## I think you misread that, because the difference is actually only plus or minus 20% of the active ingredient from the name brand. And not everyone has a problem with generics, some people d...

Hi, After 12 years of taking the blue 30's the pharmacy gave me these big white tabs. My question is why are the blue more potent than the white from Rhodes Pharm. Is it the quality of the ingredients? The brand Roxi you cant find anymore why is that? ## Generic medications are allowed to differ from the name brand in the amount of the active ingredients by as much as plus or minus 20% as decreed by the Hatch-Waxman Act of 1984. They also don't have to measure against each other, just the name brand, so some generics may be slightly stronger or weaker than another. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Please help me figure out what this is. Also, there are 4 score lines around the 30. I was told it is a brand new generic for Adderoll (sp?). I want to know with certainty. Thank you in advance for your help on this! ## Just picked up my script for Adderall and was shocked cause I have never seen them before too. But yes they are legit, generic 30mg. ## @julzinfla, I can also confirm that these are legitimate generic 30mg Amphetamine + Dextroamphetamine tablets. These ones in particular are manufactured by Mallinckrodt, but I don't know exactly how long they've been on the market for.
