Last year I suffered a major toxicity to Tylenol and cannot take that drug. Last week I was prescribed augmentin 825. After six days on it, I am having so many symptoms that are similar to Tylenol toxicity. Are there any-active or nonmedicinal-ingredients common to both drugs? ## Hi Curious! If you are having the same symptoms as you did with the Tylenol, you really need to call your doctor right away. ## P.s. Augmentin is used to treat bacterial infections and I couldn't find that it contains Tylenol. Are you taking it with food? I would still call the doctor. ## @Curious, According to the US National Library of Medicine, liver toxicity (although infrequent), can occur in individuals taking Augmentin. Ref: ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/9380177 Because the Acetaminophen in Tylenol also ex...

I have a big white pill that says amc and 825 125 ## Based on the description provided, I found your pill to be Amoxicillin + Clavulanate Potassium (875 mg - 125 mg). The correct marking is actually 875, instead of 825. This combination results in an antibiotic with an increased spectrum of action and restored efficacy against amoxicillin-resistant bacteria that produce -lactamase. Got a medicine filled that was suppose to be percocet 10/650. received a bottle that said it was oxycodone / acetaminophen 10/650. The bottle was filled with watson 824 and watson 825. What is the diffrence between the 2 . And I dont understand why they did not tell me it was diffrent. ## Oxycodone with Acetaminophen is just a generic for Percocet, those are the active ingredients that it contains. The issue here is that you actually received 2 different dosages. The tablet with the WATSON 825 marking is the correct one in the 10/650 dosage, however the tablet with the WATSON 824 is only a 7.5/500 dosage. Learn more Percocet details here. Thus, it seems an error was made and you should contact the pharmacy. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it does have the potential to be habit forming ...

What is the dosage for a 40 lb dog with a severe bladder infection? How long does it need to be taken? ## Hi Bunny, From what I could gather, the standard dose of Amoxicillin for dogs is reportedly 5 mg for every pound the dog weighs [administered every 12 hours], or 10 mg per pound [administered every 24 hours]. I haven't come across any specific details concerning the duration of treatment, but I'd imagine that it would differ on a case by case basis depending on the type and severity of the infection. Nevertheless, I think it would ultimately be your safest bet to have a veterinarian determine which dosing regimen to go by after evaluating the dog in person. Hope this helps! ## My two dogs had a fight , both 130-135 lbs. They both were bit in the leg an head. I put triple ant...

Horrible med taken for diverticulitis. 2 Mos after 825 mgs, 2 x daily, 10 day dosage: all orig side effects remain with increased intensity: burning skin/rashes, sensitivity to light/sun, severe arthritis in hands/feet, myalgia, urination frequency, unbearable back pain. The med/pharmacy community nows little about this or professing not to. My life before augmentin bears no resemblance to now. I cannot perform my daily activities .. disgusting. Have turned to acupuncture for relief .. plan to file a complaint against this med with any government agency applicable. NEVER TAKE THIS DRUG! IT MAY ROB YOU OF THE LIFE KNOWN BEFORE TAKING IT!

Hi, I'm taking amox-clav 825 MG. The two side effects I have is that I have a slight headache and I have trouble sleeping (I'm a light sleeper, anyway). Should I be concerned? Thank you. ## Hello, Richard! How are you? Those can be normal side effects of this medication. As reported by the U.S. FDA, you may also experience nausea, dizziness, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea. However, it's best to pay close attention and consult your doctor immediately if they get too severe. Is there anything else I can help with?

I finished a course of Augmentin/Clav 825 two days ago and my infection was not gone so my dentist prescribed Clindamycin. Is it safe for me to start that now? Thanks in advance. ## Yes, it is best to follow their directions. The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash, and diarrhea. Has there been any change, yet? What is wrong with the tooth? Are you on any other medications?

HI! I've been using Amox Tr Clv 825-125 for my strep throat and ive been suffering from a very severe chronic headache side affect anybody got any advice for me ## From what I could gather, headaches are in-fact listed as a side effect of Amoxicillin + Clavulanate Potassium. If this medication just isn't agreeing with your body, my honest opinion would be to either go for a different antibiotic or try a natural alternative to help remedy the infection. For starters, natural raw honey can help sooth your throat of phlegm, mucous, and irritation from coughing. I believe raw honey also has potent antibacterial properties to aid in your treatment. Perhaps having a nice warm mug of green tea with raw honey in it would be quite beneficial. You might also want to stay away from dairy p...
