My son had SEVERE ADHD to the point of hitting teachers when he was 4 in preschool, so he was tried on many meds and finally placed him on 36 mg of Concerta and 1mg of Tenex for any left over aggression. When he was in 1st grade the Concerta was moved up to 54mg. Now he is almost 12 and he says he doesn't feel "normal" when he takes them (sometimes we skip weekends). What is the safest way to stop? ## Since it does contain Methylphenidate, which is a psychostimulant, there can be some problems and rebound effects, if you completely discontinue it abruptly. So, it really should be slowly tapered, to minimize the possibility of such issues occurring. Learn more Concerta details here. Have you consulted his doctor? They should be able to help you with a safe and effective taper...

I need to know what the difference is with the two sides on the inside of a Concerta 36? Is it 2 separate drugs that make it what it is because I was told one side was the actual methylphenidate and the other side was a blood pressure drug? Someone know is addicted to abusing pills or anything else it seems and I told him to not to misuse this pill, because I was also told it could kill a person if it's taken the wrong way. Can someone help me explain this pill to him so he can read for himself from someone else what's exactly going on because he thinks I'm joking about it and I just don't want him to die for making the wrong decision. Seriously as fast as you can possibly respond would be helpful. Thank you for your time in advance. ## Hello, Lee! How are you? No, there...

I searched all the databases and found nothing. Any assistance or suggestions would be grateful. However, there are several reasons that they may not be listed and one of them is that they may be generics that are very new to the market. Are there any other questi...

I have a good friend that takes Cocerta 36.5mg two daily for his ADHD. He has been subjected to a random drug test for 2 months in a row. Both tests have come back for methamphetamines, and I know he is NOT using Meth. This is the first time he has had to test in like 3 years. He also is on Wellbutrin and Abilify. Is there any options? ## Both Concerta (Methylphenidate) and Bupropion (Wellbutrin) are known to cause false positives for Amphetamines. Meth is an Amphetamine, so either of these could very well be the culprit here. If anything, I would consider trying to get your own drug test kit to verify these false positives, or have the ...
