Advanced upward into thighs, arms & hands. Taking Lyrica for pain and many written side effects on drug are as bad as Neropathy itself. One hell of situation; need it for pain, yet dizzziness, weaknes, swelling of ankles & feet, coordination, worst of all is weight gain. Tried twice to gradually cut down drug intake to no avail because of pain. Taking 100 MG 3 times a day. Must stand up a minute or 2, after sitting a while, before able to walk do to dizziness. ...

white capsule ## Please see Lyrica for more information about this drug. From there you can start a new discussion if you would like. Hope this helps! Jean ## Got a script for Lyrica Wednesday at drs . I am deathly afraid to take this 75mg 1 tablet at bedtime have read all the side effects from tachycardia to weight gain to loss of teeth . Any suggestions ? Any drug less harmful ? ## My neurologist put me on 75, but it was a divided dose: 50 at night and 25 in the morning. I dropped the 25 in the morning b/c I was fine w/o it. 50 mg. keeps the pain from my trigeminal neuralgia away. You might ask for your doc to give you 25s instead of 75s, and then you can figure out your own dose. I've been on it for 2 1/2 years and haven't had any bad side effects. Before I dropped my morning... ...

side effect of lyrica
I had horrible sides effects with Lyrica. Anxiety Attacks, Panic Attacks, Rapid Pulse, Suicidal thoughts, Pressure Headaches, Thought I was finally going crazy. Stopped taking 1 month ago, beginning to feel like my old self. Saw 3 doctors during this time and no one suspected the Lyrica ## Very odd, as these are prominently warned about in all Lyrica literature. ## I looked on Pzifer's wed site for side effects and the one's I experienced were not listed. Nor were there any warnings to this effect. That is why I kept taking it. Then I began to read websites and peoples actual experience and found common links. I only last night read this website and found the good and bad replies ## One thing that you need to know is that the side effects listed in the common monograph, like the... ...

lyrica the good and the bad
I have Sjogrens syndrome/polymositis/diabetic neuropathy and carpal tunnel as well as a shoulder injury. You might well imagine that I have been through every available prescription drug for chronic pain. I have recently slowly gotten off opiates and am taking lyrica and cymbalta. The diabetic neuropathy pain has almost completely disappeared. The muscle and joint pain is much better. I do havwever have somnolence and a sort of spaced out feeling. I am hoping that this is a transitional side affect. Does anyone know who has been on it for a while? ## I saw the ads on tv and it sounded like something I need but the side effects wow..i am taking opiates for pain and the not taking them is awful..how do I get over the withdrawls not just that part but the pain seems worse than b 4 I have a... ...

NEW ON LYRICA
I just started taking Lyrica 3 days ago. Can't wait to see if it works. I have degenerative disc disease and scolisos. Today has been a real bad day painwise. ## Lyrica ## i have only been on Lyrcia /75mg, for 2 days.. i could tell tha it did stop or calm the pain, i have spinal stenosis, with possible surgery in the future. the side effects seem terrible. but it seems to work .? ## I have spinal scoliosis, with degenerative disc disease and spinal arthritis and had no luck with any of this class of meds, they did nothing for me. ## so far only three days on meds really cannot feel a difference. How long do you think it take for the meds to kick in (lyrcia) gloria ## Hi Gloria. Well, since I have no way of knowing how much you know about drugs and Lyrica in particular, I am going to... ...

I see so many bad effects, who has experienced good?
I've been on LYRICA for almost a month, it was kind of a last resort for me. I have had chronic back/nerve pain (unknown cause) for 20 months now. Neurosurgeon and Orthopedic both say surgery is not an option. They recommended a spinal cord stumulator but im weary of it. LYRICA has given me energy and I sleep better. I cook and clean and laundry gets done...that hasn't happened since before pain started. I feel more positive but my moods change quickly. Has anyone else had these effects? ## There are plenty of people that have had good experiences with it, it's just that they aren't the ones that usually go hunting up a website for information. :-) It's a simple fact that most people don't share their good experiences with something, they only hunt up a site like... ...

LYRICA TO SAVELLA
I was on Lyrica 75 mg for 14 days, 150 mg for 1 day. Had nausea, headache, drunk-like feeling. Doctor took me off after 15 days. The very first day off, I had the worst pain in my abdomin, nausea, bad headache & unable to eat. After 2 weeks doctor started me on Savella. It has been 5 days on it & I have not been able to eat anything but 1 - 2 bites of food a day. Nausea so bad I had to have my husband stop on the side of the road after 3 minutes of driving. My abdomin feels like I have been poisoned. I am waking up 15 times a night, while taking 10 mg of Ambien at night. Bad headache & severe fatigue. Diarreah for 4 weeks now. Anyone else have this? ## Have you contacted your doctor about this? While the nausea, sleep issues and vomiting can be normal side effects of both th... ...

low doses of Lyrica
I just got on Lyrica 50mg twice a day and my pain has pretty much dissapeared. I have been reading alot of really bad stories about it, but everyone seems to be taking much higher doses than i am, i was wondering if anyone knows if i stay on a low dose if i will have these horrible side effects i have read about ## Actually, the worse of the side effects should be experienced during the first month of us, they start to taper off and get less severe after that, except for in some rare cases. If you haven't had any really bad ones, so far, then you are probably doing okay with it and might only experience them if you have to increase your dosage. Also remember that medications affect different people in different ways, so you may never experience some of the problems that other people... ...

Lyrica And Fluoxetine
Has anyone had side effects taking Lyrica And Fluoxetine together? Such as mood swings, concentrating on things, forgetfulness, mixing letters and words, dizziness, hands jerking/ twicthcing in hands, ## Just found this site. I also take Fluoxetine 20mg.and Lyrica 25mg. three times a day. When I first started the Lyrica I was very disoriented, so much so I was afraid to drive. However as time has gone on that has disappeared. I have gained weight and have pretty bad dry mouth but the pain has decreased unbelievably. I just stood and danced for 2 1/2 hours at a Paul McCartney concert and did not suffer at all. The next day was another story but still manageable. ## Hi Diane, The side effects you've been experiencing are common on these medications, so you're definitely not alone.... ...

Who's is or was on Lyrica
I have been suffering from pain in my legs for yrs, and now it's pretty much all over. It ranges from a dull ache in my bones, sore achy muscles, feeling of something poking or biting me in various places just out of the blue. My doc had me in pain management, but the pm doc gave up and sent me to a rhumy doc.On pain management I was on Norco which did wonders, but they don't want me on them so tried all sorts of stuff that gave no relief...the rhumy doc says no Lupus or arthritis so gave me Savella..by day 3 I was so very sick (like a bad flu). so she stopped that and gave me Lyrica...no side effects until the middle of my 2nd day and I started coughing a lot..and it has moved down into my chest with plenty of mucus..I am thinking it's the Lyrica causing the cough after rea... ...

Lyrica and swollen stomach
I had been on 75mg of lyrica and 100gr of tramadol for about one year. I was mostly in severe pain due to a severed nerve that a lady dentist did to me in Canada. I was on 100mg of lyrica every 4 hrs. before that for only two months.but couldn't afford $350.00/mo the cost of lyrica. I started back on the 100mg of lyrica about 3 months ago. I have had now 4 bad side effects. 1. weight gain 2. bloated stomach -like I am 6 mo. pregnant 3. severe joint pain 4. muscle spasms mostly in right foot & gen. weakness ## Hi Evelin, I don't know what good it will do, but you can always report these side effects to the FDA's MedWatch program at: fda.gov/Safety/MedWatch/default.htm If you're able to, I would also highly recommend consuming a lot more fruits and vegetables to help c... ...

Lyrica for S1 Chronic Nerve Pain
For years now I have been taking 4 tramacet and 2 lyrica every day. The side effects are weight gain, a bit of finger and arm numbness and sleep disturbance. On the good side the tramacet is all that really works on nerve pain (S1 root damage chronic) and the lyrica takes the second edge off the pain. If you are careful it should be ok. Always best to eat something with these two medicines. You have to slowly taper off either of them. No sudden stops because a sudden stop can cause seizures. ## I took Lyrica for 2 hrs for periphiel neuropathy pain and then it turned on me making me unable to see, bad uneasy feeling and kidney cancer and failure. I am scared to death to take even 1 -50 mg! And the withdrawal! Felt like I was burning alive! Ought to be against the law! the only drug that ... ...

the bad affects of this
I have taken lyrica that has been prescribed from couple different doctors. This stuff kept me confused and my right hand shacks and I stumble when walking . Finally I just quit taking it . It was causing more problems then good my blood pressure stayed high. I advise no one to take this..... ## I definitely agree with your statements. This drug has some horrible side effects, that in my opinion are worse than what most people are trying to treat. Some of the side effects listed below (in the user guidelines) are what you may have been experiencing: -confusion -difficulty remembering or forgetfulness -anxiety -lack of coordination -loss of balance or unsteadiness -uncontrollable shaking or jerking of a part of the body -muscle twitching In the link below you can see a large list of side... ...

lyrica side effects
LYRICA HAS RUINED MY LIFE. IT WASNT BAD ENOUGH WITH THE PAIN FROM MY BACK INJURY. I ONLY TOOK LYRICA 2 WEEKS. THE WEIGHT GAIN WAS BAD. I LOSS 1/3 OF MY HAIR IN 4 MONTHS. I HAVE HAD A RASH FOR OVER 1 YEAR NOW. I MEAN A BAD RASH. THIS WAS MY FIRST SIDE EFFECT. AND THEY WARN YOU OF THIS. GET OFF LYRICA ASAP IF YOU GET A RASH. I THOUGHT I WAS HAVING A STROKE THE FIRST WEEK ON LYRICA WHEN THEY RUSHED ME TO THE HOSPITAL. I HAD READ ON THE INTERNET OF HOW MANY YOUNG PEOPLE HAVE DIED FROM STROKES FROM TAKING LYRICA. lyrica side effects
Has any one taken Lyrica and lost ability to climax? And hopefully if you decreased your dose you got your sex back? ## Lyrica contains the active ingredient Pregabalin, it is an anticonvulsant that also helps with certain types of pain. And yes, it can cause distinct decreases in libido, like other side effects, it usually tapers off as your body gets used to the medication or is resolved within a week or two of stopping it. Other side effects can include: nausea, drowsiness and dizziness. You can read more on it here: Is there anything else I can help you with? ## THE FDA WANTS TO HEAR ABOUT THE BAD EXPERIENCES WITH LYRICA. FDA.gov/Safety/MedWatch ...
