I would liketo know if lovastatin is the generic brand for zetia ## i would like to know if this is a gereric brand for zetia . i find that the zetia is too expensive for me i do not have adequate coverage. and how would i go about ordering this druf=g for myself?? i do have a prescription at this time and am paying $28.00 for a 30 day supply. ## No. Lovastatin is the generic name for the statin Mevacor, not Zetia (which is not a statin at all). Which you'd have found out if you typed "lovastatin" into Google or Yahoo search. Der. ## And while I'm here, Zetia is too new to have a generic version, and stop complaining that it costs $28 a month. It costs me over $125 a month, and even under my prescription plan it would be at least $35 a month. You're very lucky. ## I&...

I was taking Lunesta but had to stop because of the price. I then began taking Teva brand and now I learn they are having production problems and might not be available for 2 - 3 months. Has anyone heard of or tried Mylan? And comments? ## Hello, Bob! How are you? Have you tried it, yet? The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including next day hangover-like symptoms, headache, unusual taste in your mouth and cold-like symptoms. Can anyone that's taken the one manufactured by Mylan chime in with their experiences, please? ## I have also taken Teva for yes. They gave me the Mylan last time and I can't sleep without taking a Benedryl with it. Mylan does not work for me. I have called Walgreens, CVS, Economy Compounding and now Walmart. No luck. ## Go to a smaller pharm...

If you are looking at a name brand xanax 2 milligram, if you turn it over to the right what way would the number 2 be facing? ## Depends which way you are facing? ## @Justin, Eddy is right, it probably would depend on which way you are facing as well. Lol.. When I look at an image of a legitimate 2mg white xanax bar, the word "[x|an|a|x]" is printed horizontally, but the number 2 is always represented as being vertical (going long ways) on the opposite side. It appears to be facing left just as a normal "2" would. I hope my description makes sense, but if you have any trouble picturing this, there are several images that can be found online using a simple search. Best of luck! ## I have a bar labeled xanax with 2 on the other side but one I'd say is different than th...

i am trying to find the brand name fioricet, pleases help! as the generics do not work. ## Hello, Tess! How are you? Sorry about the problem that you're having. What dosage are you looking for? Some of them have been discontinued and are no longer available. Otherwise, if it's one that can still be found, did you try asking your pharmacy to order it in for you? ## I have the same experience with generic Fioricet - it does NOT work! We can't be the ONLY ones to notice that the Emperor is wearing no clothes. I wish this issue could be properly addressed. But it appears that few are affected? and sales flourish, so there's not much hope. My pharmacy refuses to carry brand name Fioricet so I must purchase it out of town. Wishing you good luck!

What is everyone's thoughts on the best brand of oxycodone 15mg? They don't all work the same... Some make me drowsy and some give me energy. What is your preference? ## I believe the Qualitest brand to be one of the better ones, but I've also noticed a problem here lately with them being always consistent in their strength; the KVK are good too; the Mylan brand A214's plain SUCK! They were good at one point but no more & lots of smaller pharms must get them at the cheapest prices, then sell them for 2-3$ a piece! Good Luck to you, like I read from another, "JUST STOP TAKING THEM ALL TOGETHER & if they're fake your body will start to let you know by feeling withdrawals & if by taking one it helps that & your pain all in one shot, THEN YOU KNOW THE...

I have been taking lunesta for a couple years on and off now. Thankfully I have medicaid other wise I could not afford it. The last time I had to pay cash for a script of 30 3mg tablets it was 278.00 $ now with medicaid its only 3 bucks. I found out a month ago that a generic form was now out so I asked the pharmacy what the cash price for the generic was. He told me its 286.00$ and that the brand is 543.00$ I asked why the price of generic was about the same price as the brand name was 2 years ago and why the brand was so much more now?? He couldnt really say. Some how I feel like Im getting scamed. Can any one explain this to me? ## Hello, Scott! How are you? Prices just change over time. If you ask, again, in a month or two, you may get totally different prices. They may go up more, ...

I was wondering if anyone takes Adderall for the severe fatigue and has it worked? ## Hi Lucinda, From what I've researched, there are many studies, reviews, and drug descriptions online indicating that Adderall has a proven ability to decrease symptoms of chronic fatigue as well as improve cognitive function. Its active ingredients (dextroamphetamine + amphetamine) are also classified by nih.gov as "central nervous system stimulants", that work by regulating certain natural substances in the brain. One thing to note though, is that different manufacturers of generic/brand name adderall are reported to vary in their overall effectiveness. So it may be that you have to try a few versions out until you find what manufacturer works best. Perhaps the following related threads ca...

My doctor has approved the name brand for generic Hydrocodone, but I cannot find a pharmacy that will even try to get a brand other than Mallinckrodt, Lupin, or Amneal; the generic brands that are sent to them. I was doing great when Watson had the yellow oblong 10/325 and am at my wits' end. I am in bad pain every day of my life. I don’t know how much longer I can take this pain. Not everyone with chronic pain is just a drug addict but we are all treated that way. Got to change soon or I can’t live this way. ## Have you tried any alternative opiates, since you can't find one of these that works for you? Some other choices are Hydromorphone, Oxycodone, Morphine, and Demerol. The FDA warns that they all carry the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects...

Does anyone know where I can get the Sandoz brand of fentanyl patches in the Monroeville Pittsburgh PA area? Currently taking 75mcg ## Hi Joseph, Unfortunately there is no real way of knowing which pharmacies have what brand in stock at any given moment. Especially since products come and go off the shelf all-day and most pharmacies only order what they can get at the cheapest price from manufacturers as it is. At least that's what I've been told anyways. But it certainly does have an effect on what brand you're getting. I would just try to go around to few local pharmacies in your immediate area to see what they're able to do for you. Sometimes with the mom and pop pharmacies you can get pretty lucky with who you speak with and they'll be more than happy to special ...

Carvedilol is prescribed by US doctors, but I would like to know if there's an Indian medicine equal to this US version? ## From what I could gather, there's an Indian brand of Carvedilol that goes by the name "Caditone". This medication is reportedly manufactured by a company called Kopran ltd. based out of Mumbai, India. There is also a brand called Carviflo made by Ajanta, out of India. If I come across any other brand or generic versions I'll be sure to post back. Until then, I hope these two options will suffice. Best of luck to you!

I have been on Klonokin for 20 + years as it helps with my Dystonia. Look that condition up!.I don't trust generics, but that is for a good reason. Remember, Generic Drug manufactures can't be sued for medications they distribute. The FDA has instituted that policy-for reasons I 'll never understand. However, Klonopin is now available nationwide. Being frustrated, I call the manufacture of the medication-Roche Pharmaceuticals, and tonight I called again. They told me it is being distributed to Pharmacy's & Group Insurance companies as I type this. In case you want to call, this is the #---877-436-3683. Hopefully we will get the relief we need. Good Luck & GOD BLESS. Michael. ## Hello, Michael! How are you? I hope you can get your prescription filled soon. Klonopi...

My wife is having hypothyroid symptoms again. I checked the brand and it is Lupin, which is an Indian brand. I have not had good luck with Indian brands for other things myself. I did find a review by someone saying they got switched to Lupin and their Hypothyroid symptoms came back. But 1 review does not make a case. It will be very helpful to people to get feedback on what brands people have had good or bad experiences with and what they went from and to. And what the symptoms were or what went away. So they can be aware when pharmacies switch brands and what to look for when searching for a better brand. ## In a lot of ways levothyroxine seems to be a special case with brands because it's not some sort of "brand x doesn't work" scenario, but rather it's that the d...

i had found some oxycontin leftover from my stepmother in-law's bout with cancer, and in a smaller bottle that was in with them. in this bottle i found a bunch of small white round pills, about 1/4 of an inch in diameter. on one side is the number 25, on the other is an uppercase I, slanted slightly. i don't know what these pills are but would love some imput! ## THAT IS NOT OXYCONTIN. A WHITE OXY IS SMALL ROUND ON ONE SIDE IS A OC, OTHER SIDE IS A 10 FOR MILLIGRAMS. PINK ONE, OC ON ONE SIDE, OTHER SIDE A 20, FOR 20 MILLIGRAMS. THEN THEY SKIP TO 40mg.ETC. ETC. THEY ARE MADE BY PURDUE PHARM. I CHECKED MY PDR BUT HAD NO LUCK FINDING YOUR PILL SO I CANNOT SAY. GOOD LUCK. ## And Sheri is incorrect, what she is talking about are just the name brand Oxy's, there have been generics...
