Sometimes when I have been in arm chair for awhile and when I first get out of bed in a.m.it is quite painful. Other times there is no pain and I feel good. Sometimes it starts for no reason. ## Hello, Sheila! How are you doing? Has there been any change? My DR has prescribed me percocets 10/325 every 4-6 hours along with flexeril 10mgs 1 or 2/day, my DR has recently prescribed 300mgs a day of neurontin and 500mgs of naproxen 2x's/day. None of it helps. Does anybody have any suggestions I could take to my DR of what could help. I'm in constant pain, can hardly sleep and the muscle spasms occurring more often elevating my pain level. Any suggestions would be of great help, thanks everybody! ***Also I have always had a high tolerance for any medications, which my dr does know about. I was prescribed with hydrocodone acetaminophen 5 325 for pain in my leg and back. Can I also take hydrocodone-apap 5-500 at the same time? ## It isn't a good idea to take both at the same time without talkiing to your dr first. If you need more medication, maybe your dr can increase it or give you something else. But, if you do take Hydrocodone 5 mg/Acetaminophen 325 mg And Hydrocodone 5 mg/Acetaminophen 500 mg at the same time Do Not take another one Or anything else that contains Acetaminophen before at least 6 hours are up because of the amount of Acetamiinophen. The most Acetaminophen (Tylenol) that it is safe to take at one time is 1,000 mg and that can be taken Only as frequently as once every 6 hours for a few days. ## No, APAP is medical speak for Acetaminophen, so that wou...

I recently started taking Mirtazapine for depression. I started at 15 mg. and this was increased to 30 mg after about four weeks. I have started to suffer almost debilitating lower back pain on a daily basis which I do understand is a rare but potential side effect. In addition, my hands are slightly swollen and any repeated use of my hands/fingers also results in severe pain. The hand pain will subside after I stop whatever I was doing. In addition, I sometimes lose feeling in my hands (almost like a lack of blood supply) and when I change their position, I experience "pins and needles". Has anyone else had this combination of symptoms? Will they resolve themselves over time or should I have my Doctor switch me to something else? Any feedback would be appreciated. ## I have sto...

I have an almost debilitating pain on the left side of my lower back and the only thing I can think that would cause this is a new prescription for 25 mg of losartan. Could this drug be causing this pain? ## Hello, Dede! How are you doing? I'm sorry about the problem that you're having. It's possible, but doubtful. Have you consulted your doctor? There are other things that could be causing it, as well, such as dehydration or a kidney stone. You need to see your doctor and have it checked out.

HELP. MY DOC TOLD ME TO DO YOGA instead of getting back Surgery ??????????????? MRI SHOW 5 buldging, herniated, Narrowing nurve space. Want walk, sit, stand more then 5 min at a time. Severe Pain with Sciatica. Is my doctor just being lazy?????? Going for 2nd opinion asap. What do YOU THINK? ## Hello, LeeLee! How are you? I'm sorry that you're in pain. I can't speak for your doctor, I don't know if they were being lazy, or if they think yoga actually helps with this type of problem. However, I do agree that you should get a second opinion. Proper treatment is imperative to restore your quality of life and prevent it from worsening. Sadly, there are some yoga poses that might actually worsen the problem, rather than help. Have you tried physical therapy?

I have taken cefuroxime axetil 250mg to treat my UTI. After 1 day I take that pills (2 pills per day), I have blood spit when I take shower. Then, my back pain and I hardly to urine and the urine that come out is less than usual. are these symptoms are dangerous for me? I'm Male in 25 Years old. ## Hello, Hyroxy! How are you? Has there been any change? If an antibiotic is working for you, you should see any worsening after taking it for a full 24 hours and you should start to see improvement after a full 3 days. Thus, if you are still experiencing symptoms, you should see your doctor, again, as this may not be the right medication to help you. The U.S. FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea. Is there ...

I severely damaged my lower back this morning. I have had back pain for some years now. I went and saw my Dr today who prescribed me Endone and Meloxicam 15mg, my Dr is aware that i suffer stomach pain when i take anti inflammatory medication. He did advise me that these tablets are okay to take. I am unsure what to do as I do have stomach ulcers, and I need the inflammation in my back to go away. ## Hello, Debbie! How are you? Meloxicam is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory, so it can cause stomach irritation and ulceration, as reported by the FDA. You may also experience nausea, dizziness, headache and increased risk of bleeding. Thus, it may be best to take it with an antacid to protect your stomach, if your doctor approves of your doing so. Is there anything else I can help with? ## T...

can lower back pain also be a side effect? I started taking this pills again and the next day my lower back started to hurt. I didn't put two and two together, but when I took the pill again the following day, I could barely stand. It comes and goes. ## Hydrochlorothiazide is a diuretic that is used to reduce the amount of fluid in the body. And yes, it may cause a backache, especially if it is causing you to become dehydrated. Are you being careful with your fluid intake? Your body does need 64oz of liquid each day, so if you aren't drinking enough and take this, it might be causing the problem. Have you consulted your doctor?

I have been suffering due to severe lower back pain for years ( may be because of my over weight). Consulted several physio but its of no use. Finally I approached irehab for advice. My first injection of Prolia was in November 2013, age 72, and the second injection was early in June 2014. After the first shot I had pain in my left ankle and lower back which was diagnosed as arthritis. After the second shot the ankle pain greatly increased and my right ankle and hips are also painful, making walking difficult. Absolutely nothing relieves the pain and it's affecting my sleep. I'll never take another shot and hope that the pain subsides. In my opinion this medicine should be taken off the market. ## Hello, Emily! How are you doing? I am very sorry that you're in pain.
