After 10+'years new Dr. stopped methadone and break thru Meds. for no reason, nor would give me one. Thankfully I try to take as little as needed. So I still didn't have a great time withdrawing, not fun at all. At 57 with a rare autoimmune disease that causes blood clots+ had first stroke at 36. Second at 50. Plus A-Fib. and many other related issues. No suggestions,no referral and honestly took anything other than he prescribed. So he has blacklisted me in two states, and I truly don't know why. And when I asked, he yelled one more word and I'll have you throw out. So now Constance pain, feel totally lost and WHAT about Quality of Life. And do no harm. Just want a true honest doctor, that also believes in Quality of a human beings life. Live in NH banned and also MA. Do...

Find a private doctor that treats with methodone or other narcotics for chronic pain. Nashua, NH or Lowell,Ma areas. ## Hello, Kathy! How are you? If you require these types of medications on a long-term ongoing basis for the treatment of chronic pain, then due to the regulations that were put in place last year, you'll have to see a pain management specialist. Do you currently have a PCP that you see regularly? If so, getting them to refer you to someone is usually the easiest way to get in with a specialist to get the help you need. Does anyone know of a good doctor in the area?

Has anyone else had a hard time lately getting this medication from their pharmacy? The last couple/few times i've needed it, i've had to call around to different CVS's. My regular CVS hasn't had it for at least the past couple of months. Last month, i got it filled at another CVS downtown, but this month they only have 3 in stock, so i called yet another CVS and luckily they had them in stock. What a hassle to get my medication. I live in Lowell, MA. Thank you. ## I'm not finding any shortages listed for this medication. Have you considered trying a pharmacy other than CVS? It seems unusual to me that they wouldn't have it in stock, or get it in stock, if they know they have a regular customer that needs it. I know several pharmacy chains here in Washington that...

I have a rare kind of polyneuropathy that affects my long nerves. I have had severe chronic pain for over 8 years. My pain doctor in Florida switched me from oxycontin to methadone because the oxycodone made it difficult to sleep. I recently moved to Mass. and so far the two doctors I've been to eliminated my breakthrough meds (oxycodone 30 mg. 4 times a day) and decreased my methadone from 140 mg a day (taken evenly in 10 mg a day) to 70 mg a day (10 mg. tabs throughout the day) and I am back to excruciating pain. I cannot work, eat a healthy diet, sleep, take care of my family, etc. Why don't any of these doctors realize that although there are risks related to taking opiates, that QUALITY of life is what is important to me? Do you know of any doctors in Mass. (Lowell area) th...

Please help me with pain doctor in Massachusetts i just got taken off ocycodone 30 mg and need a doc that writes and helps people in pain ## Hello, Marc! How are you? I'm very sorry about the problem that you're having. Why were you taken off of it? Do you currently have a PCP that you see regularly that might be able to refer you to someone? If so, that might be the quickest and easiest way to find the help you need. The FDA lists this medication as being a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Can anyone recommend a good doctor in that area? ## Hi Marc: I know this is very delayed, as I see you posted in January. Their is a doctor in Lowell, Eric Romanowsky,...
