I need a new pm doc anywhere in Louisiana or nearby state asap. I have med rec;s and legit pain but my doc got n2 trouble and cannot prescribe my meds any longer. ive been on oxy's for years and cant find a doc who will take my case. ## The first question I always find myself asking people in your situation is... How have you been looking for a new doctor? And the reason I'm asking is because if you're calling them and telling them you need to have certain medications prescribed, none of them are likely to even let you get in the door, because most doctors will see that as drug seeking behavior. Learn more pain management details here. Thus, what you need to do is set up an appointment with a new doctor and just make sure they get a full copy of your records. When they see w...

I had been on them for 7 years. ## I don't know who told you that Soma is now a Schedule II in Louisiana, but they are wrong. ## James, I apologize, you are correct. Soma is now a Schedule II in Louisiana. Some in combinations with Codeine Schedule III. It is everyone responsibility to keep up to date on proposed and changing laws, federal and state. ## Why would plain Soma be a 2 and Soma with Codeine a 3? Remind me to stay out of these hick States. In my State the Controlled Schedule 1 drugs are made in homes and apartments and there is nothing done about it. Why? ## U need to check with any pharmacy in Louisiana ## James, Senate Bill 618 is what changed the classification of Soma. Put,...

For anyone who lives on Louisiana- Are you having problems finding care through Bayou Health (Louisiana Medicaid) ? For example, you choose a pcp and/or specialist that the Plan has listed and tells you over the phone they are listed. But when you go to make a appointment, the drs office tell you they do not accept medicaid or they only accept medicaid if you're Dual Eligible (Medicare and Medicaid) (Dual Eligibles Do Not have to enroll in Bayou Health as of 2013) Or you have problems getting a referral from your pcp or having x-rays, labs done. I questioned why the XR wasn't prescribed and the know it all NP told me that Adderall XR was NEVER given in that dosage and I was the first to request it. She said it was illegal to prescribe 2 Adderall XR to be taken in one day. She said that by taking two XR's that I was continually getting the medicine in my system 24 hours.
