Losarten

I have been on 100mg/day of losartan that I take 1/2 a pill twice a day for 6 months or so. The last 2 months I have experienced heavy heart palpitations, skipping beats etc directly after taking pill. I literally feel like I'm in the middle of a heart attack. Kidneys also hurt directly after taking losartan and urine is very yellow. I recently did not take it for a 3 days and felt much better but I started it up again due to the fear of heart trouble that I am not aware of. All of the above symptoms returned with a vengeance and now I am back to feeling close to death all day long...any suggestions? ## Have you had this checked out by your doctor, yet? My cardiologist has told me to no longer take Losarten, as i was having severe chest pain, and other side affects. I have been on this family of drugs for 14 yrs, and just gone onto the generic one. blisters are appearing on my face, and a rash has been on my nose since taking this one. My blood pressure went up yesterday so I took one overnight, to a blister on my nose today. My daughter has been prescribed by her cardiologist losarten25my as a prevention again aorta enlargement due to her congenital aortic bicuspid valve. We just found out her doctor prescribed 50my by accident for months and she had been suffering a lot of side effects, depression, anxiety,aches pains, dizziness ,feeling cold until a doctor checked her blood pressure and discovered the mistake,reduced it to 25my, How long will it take for her to feel better ,her blood pressure is as low as 88/65 ## It may take a few weeks, since she's been taking the higher dosage for several months, according to the NIH. has anyone gotten insurance company to pay for Benecar (olmesarten) ? Mine changed me from Benecar to Losarten-just not the same effects. The benecar controlled it better and NO SIDE EFFECTS. Losarten is making me fat and my back hurts terribly and AI have a headache. ## There are many other medications on the market that will treat the same conditions that Benicar and Losartan treat. I am interested in the Polycernol treatment mainly for the Prostate problems overnight. however I have problems with Atril Fibrillation (AF) and I am on, permanently, Warfarin, Oral Anticoagulant Therapy. Also Losarten blood pressure control tablets. Doctors are very wary of any medication not prescribed by my Medical Team. Is POLYCERNOL safe to take with my medical condition and medication I take? My mom had a change of b/p medication to losartan 100/25 hctz. After 2 weeks of taking it she developed a wet and dry cough with the need of clearing her throat. No sputum would come out. The cough gets worst at night when she is lying down. Can't sleep at night for the past 3 nights due to cough. She also has hoarseness with no throat pain. Has taken expectorant/ dexometropan over the counter medication but did nothing. Do u think it could be b/p medication or another underlying medical peoblem? ## Are you sure that wasn't Lisinopril?
