I was prescribed Losartan Pot 25mg. When the prescription was first filled, I received a green, oblong, tablet. When it was renewed, I received a tiny, round, pink pill. Is this just a manufacturer's difference, depending on who made the drug or is it something else, like being given the wrong medication?Frank ## Losartan is a generic medication, so it is manufactured by several different companies, but I can't really tell you any specifics, without knowing the markings on the tablets in question. My grandmother'so Dr. told her to double up on her blood pressure medication. She is already taking Losartan 100mg...this would mean that she would take 200mg at one time. I just started taking 2 tablets of Losartan Pot. 50MG friday 4/20/12 just before going to bed. I do them at knight, because I am dizzy when I take this. I woke up with lower abdomen burning the 21st. The label on my Losartan is "NDC 43547-360-09 Losartan Potassium". The label also shows "Zhejiang, China 317024" Is this batch on recall? I'd suggest asking your doctor about trying Atacand/Candesartan, it is listed by the FDA as an ARB, just like Losartan, but it's known to cause fewer side effects. Its typical ones are listed as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache and hypotension. Have you had the itching and splotches checked out by your doctor? That could be due to an allergy, or perhaps just a circulatory issue, too.

I have taken generic hyzaar for years.for the past 4years I've taken losartan potassium HCTZ 100-25 mfr by SANDOZ. They 2 days ago I got my refill and it was a different color pill and made by NORTHSTAR rx. Two days of taking them and my BP goes up to 154/122! Holy crap! My norm is 120/80. can I take amox/k clav 500 mg with losartan pot 50mg? ## I didn't find any problems or interactions listed between these medications, though it's always best to double check to be sure. The FDA lists the typical side effects of this antibiotic as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea. It would actually be far more dangerous to let an infection continue out of control. Is there anything else I can help with?
