what numbers are embedded in 50 mg losartan white oval tablets ? ## Are you looking for the plain Losartan tablets, or the ones with Hydrochlorothiazide? Some of the markings on the plain Losartan 50mg, white oval tablets are: LU P22 Z16 APO LS 50 SZ 213 50 114 54 125 M LN50 and 952. However, this is not a comprehensive list, since this a generic medication, there are many companies that manufacture it. Do any of these match the markings on the tablet you have? ## Thank You Verwon. You have put my mind at ease that I have the correct prescription ## I am a 62 year old Male. I take losartan hct. 100/12.5 got hip pain and rib pain on left side and iron level of 265 and cannot get any answers iam in pain most of the time what can I do? ## Hello, Joyce! How are you? I am so sorry that you're in pain. Yes, it can cause the pain like that, especially if the Hydrochlorothiazide in it is causing you to get dehydrated, because it is a diuretic that removes excess fluid from the body. Other side effects may include nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination, stomach pain, and hypotension. As to your iron level, many blood pressure drugs can affect those results, so it might not be accurate. Are you feeling fatigued regularly? Extremely tired? ## Yes ## You might be dehydrated, due to the diuretic in this. How much liquids do you take in each day, not inclu... ...

What is the difference between losartan/hctz 100/12.5, white Pill, #1117 blank on other side and hyzar 100/12.5?? ## Both of the pills in question are one in the same drug. The only difference I noticed is that they are different brands/generics manufactured by different companies. Because of this, there may be a slight variation of inactive ingredients; but other than that you can be assured that they are the same drug and same dosage. Certain "inactive" ingredients that may or may not be present in each brand, are actually detrimental to how the drug is metabolized and used by your body. Because everyone is different, your body may respond favorably with one medication and not the other, due to how you feel or based on whatever side effects present themselves. NOTE: Whenever y... ...

I have been taking the 100/25 pale yellow tablet mfg by TEVA. My pharmacist claims they cannot get the tablet due to formulation problems at the mfg. I have been taking a green tablet 100mg Losartan along with a separate HCTZ tablet mag by IVAX. I have broken out in hives and itching. This is not the same formulation I was taking before. Going back to the Dr tomorrow. Has there been a report about this before? ## It certainly sounds like you may be allergic to something in one of the tablets. And yes, unfortunately, there has been a shortage. It was reported by all manufacturers a few months ago and was supposed to be resolved in a short period of time, but this obviously has not happened. They've also not provided any explanation for the shortage. It would probably be best to talk ... ...

To be quite honest, I'm finding conflicting information on this, some information says it can cause them, but not others. EVERY TIME I GET A REFILL IT IS A DIFFERENT PILL. IT HAS IN THE PAST BEEN GREEN, NOW IT IS A VERY PALE YELLOW.. 50 MG OF LOSARTAN??? LUP??? DO NOT KNOW WHAT THE LUP IS?? AND WHY THE CHANGE EACH TIME. ANYONE TAKE SOMETHING LIKE THIS. LAST TIME IT WAS GREEN AND SAID TEVA USA ## Losartan is a generic medication and once a medication is available for generic production, it is usually manufactured by quite a few different companies. The reason whatever pills you get from your pharmacy may change regularly is due to the fact that, when they need to reorder, they will order from whichever one of those companies is offering the cheapest price, at that time. This is how they keep costs as low as possible for their customers that may not have insurance and might need to pay cash for their prescri... ...

Can this medication affect the liver in anyway ? ## Hello, Brenda! How are you? Most medications are processed through your liver, so yes. Though, it is very rare for it to cause any problems.
