2 Topics FoundWhen will Benicar be offered in a generic/less expensive form? ## Hello, Laurie! How are you? It will most likely be several years, yet. However, there are other medications in this same drug class that are available as generics, such as Losartan and Candesartan, which you could ask your doctor about switching to, if Benicar is too expensive. The FDA lists the typical side effects of this medication as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination, dry cough and hypotension. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Both alternatives r not usable as cause major blood pressure spikes; been advised by both pharmacist and cardiologist to never try alternative to Benicar as there is no true substitute.

Does anyone know of what I can use that maybe equal to tribenzor meds...my prescriptions insurance won't cover the cost. ## Tribenzor contains Olmesartan, Amlodipine and Hydrochlorothiazide, it's a combination medication that's used to help lower high blood pressure. There are, however, other options available, so you should talk to your doctor and tell them that your insurance won't cover this one and ask them to prescribe alternatives. Both the Amlodipine and the Hydrochlorothiazide are available as generics separately and Losartan is in the same class as the Olmesartan, but it is also available as a generic.
