The other one is "light green colored, oblong shaped" and the number '7364' on one side & the number "93" on the other side. Is this really Losartan 25 mg also??? Now no pain and no stress full job, so dr. thinks my blood pressure has dropped because no more pain or stress; he lowered it to 50 mg from 100 mg. Still 60/90. Lowered it to 25.mg and still 60/90. Am eating more potassium every meal, weight is 160 at 5'5" age 65. Do you think no stress and no pain means no high blood pressure? Can I possibly go off of it? ## Hello, Susan! How are you doing? Yes, it is possible that your blood pressure elevationg was just due to the pain and stress, both are known to cause it to go up. I am taking losartan 100 mg tablet every morning before breakfast. I also take Plavix 75 mg and Levothyroxine 100 mcg in a.m. By lunch time I feel very tired and don't have much energy the rest of the day. After dinner I take Narvasc 5 mg, Zetia 10 mg, aspirin 325 mg, and cephalexine 250 mg. My doctor doesn't seem to be very concerned about the fatigue but I feel it is interfering with my life. Such as gardening, exercising, shopping, etc. Any suggestions? ## How long have you been taking these medications? Fatigue, drowsiness, headache, increased urination, and joint pain can be side effects of these medications. How long will you be taking the antibiotic? Has there been any change?

I was prescibed 100mg/25HCTZ of Losartan. I have been taking 5mg/6.5HCTZ of Ziac. I was concerned that the Doc started me off with such a high dose of 100 mg of Losartan when the internet says the starting dose is 50mg. My BP went up hovering around 140/90 while on the Ziac. Any thoughts? ## Hi Charlie, I'm sure your doctor only prescribed what he thought would benefit you, however it is your body and if you are not comfortable with the dosage you should definitely speak with him. He may have prescribed you a larger dose to compete with the Ziac that could still be lingering in your system. In regards to your blood pressure raising while on Ziac, I can't find any information that says high blood pressure is a side effect of the medication since that is what it's supposed to ...

Would the above drug cause body itch? ## Yes, there are actually 2 ways that Losartan can cause this type of issue. The first would be if you happen to be allergic to it and the second would be as a side effect due to its nature of action in the body, its effect on blood vessels and circulation can cause this. Have you consulted your doctor?

I was prescribed Losartan Pot 25mg. When the prescription was first filled, I received a green, oblong, tablet. When it was renewed, I received a tiny, round, pink pill. Is this just a manufacturer's difference, depending on who made the drug or is it something else, like being given the wrong medication?Frank ## Losartan is a generic medication, so it is manufactured by several different companies, but I can't really tell you any specifics, without knowing the markings on the tablets in question. Can you please post back with this information? If you do so, I will gladly check for you. Is there anything else I can help with?

EVERY TIME I GET A REFILL IT IS A DIFFERENT PILL. IT HAS IN THE PAST BEEN GREEN, NOW IT IS A VERY PALE YELLOW.. 50 MG OF LOSARTAN??? LUP??? DO NOT KNOW WHAT THE LUP IS?? AND WHY THE CHANGE EACH TIME. ANYONE TAKE SOMETHING LIKE THIS. LAST TIME IT WAS GREEN AND SAID TEVA USA ## Losartan is a generic medication and once a medication is available for generic production, it is usually manufactured by quite a few different companies. The reason whatever pills you get from your pharmacy may change regularly is due to the fact that, when they need to reorder, they will order from whichever one of those companies is offering the cheapest price, at that time. This is how they keep costs as low as possible for their customers that may not have insurance and might need to pay cash for their prescri...

I've been taking 100mg daily for three years. Seems to be working and dealing with most died effects I.e. Dizziness, fatigue etc. by taking the pill before bed so sleep through half a days worth of issue. I've tried several other meds that I could not tolerate so I've wanted to stick with losartan. The issue is that for the past 18 months the pharmacy continues to give me a large white pill from another manufacturer but I keep requesting the green oval pill. When I think the issue is finally resolved I found myself back at square one with them again. It's exhausting to hear them say we can try to special order, will mark your file. It's all been done before and still they ignore all the flags etc. how can I get the green oval pill without ten trips to the pharmacy bef...

I am so sorry that you're in pain. Yes, it can cause the pain like that, especially if the Hydrochlorothiazide in it is causing you to get dehydrated, because it is a diuretic that removes excess fluid from the body. Other side effects may include nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination, stomach pain, and hypotension. As to your iron level, many blood pressure drugs can affect those results, so it might not be accurate. Are you feeling fatigued regularly? Extremely tired? ## Yes ## You might be dehydrated, due to the diuretic in this. How much liquids do you take in each day, not inclu...

Yes or no? ## Hello, Kathy! How are you feeling? I'm sorry about the problem you're having. To be quite honest, I'm finding conflicting information on this, some information says it can cause them, but not others. So it may or may not be, there is always a first time for everything, including getting a UTI, though you never have before. Have you had this checked out, yet? Are on any other medications?
