I started taking Losartan 50mg two and a half weeks ago and I have developed tinnutis, this is not a common side effect but an adverse one, I've previously been on Rampiril but didn't feel well, will this side effect go away or will it be permanent or should I change medication again, and if it's in the same family of arbs will I get it again. I've accidentally had it happen, before, and it was not pleasant! Pills generally have an expiration date of one year from when you receive them from your pharmacy, if they are in a normal pharmacy bottle, but the expiration date can be as long as 4 to 5 years, if they are still in the original factory sealed container. What are the differences between the generic for Losartan 50mg produced by Teva and Sandoz ## They are the same medication in the same dosage, just manufactured by different companies. Have you had a problem with one of them? If your pharmacy has switched the one they're providing, that's usually just due to the fact that their supplier is offering the new one at a cheaper price.

I was prescibed 100mg/25HCTZ of Losartan. I have been taking 5mg/6.5HCTZ of Ziac. I was concerned that the Doc started me off with such a high dose of 100 mg of Losartan when the internet says the starting dose is 50mg. My BP went up hovering around 140/90 while on the Ziac. My insurance company insisted that I change from Avalide 150mg/HCT 12.5mg to Lorsartan 50mg/HCT 12.5mg. Are the dosages equivilant? ## Yes, that is the equivalent dosage. Avalide contains Irbesartan with the Hydrochlorothiazide and the Losartan is actually a stronger medication, so it only takes 50mgso f it to equal the 150mgs of the Irbesartan.
