all i want to no is what does this med have in it i broke my wrist and now i am trying to wing myself off and it is making me sick please let me know thank you annette riggs ## I don't know what dosage you are on, there are several available, but all Lortab and generic equivelents contain Acetaminophen and the narcotic pain reliever Hydrocodone. So that would explain why you have problems stopping it, Hydrocodone, like any narcotic, is very addictive. I would advise speaking to your doctor, they should be able to help you with ways to wean off and alleviate the dependence symptoms that you are experiencing.

White Lortab is there any over the counter Meds to help it work? Meds have Been change from pink lortabs, to blue to white. Each time it gets worst. Can I take Tylenol to help, if so how much? ## No, since Lortab already contains Acetaminophen, adding more isn't advisable, because long-term use of high doses has the potential to cause liver damage or failure. What is the highest dose of lartaps cuz i got 10s but it seems like it wasnt working then i got 7.5 then it kickedmme in the butt ## Lortab contains the active ingredients Acetaminophen and Hydrocodone, while the Hydrocodone is a narcotic, there is a reason that Acetaminophen is also in them and part of that reason is due to the fact that it helps the narcotic work better. That said, how much Acetaminophen was in each of the tablets you took? ## You might also check to see if you were given percocet instead of lortab. Percocet sometimes works better for people than lortab though there are only slight differences. For me lortab works best. 10's are the highest.

If so, you may be past side effects and into permanent organ damage, so you need to seek medical attention. Even the lowest dosage of these contain 325mgs of Acetaminophen in each tablet, along with the narcotic Hydrocodone and that comes out to 58,500mgs in a week and it is considered toxic at anything over 4,000mgs in a day, which would be only 28,000mgs in a week. I have been taking 10 mg. 4xday (prescribed) and would like to see how I feel without them, as I just feel drugged up all of the time. How long do they still in your body ## Because that answer depends on so many underlying factors (i.e weight, age, metabolism, diet, etc), the best you can do is go off an estimated guess on when it'll be out of your body. In many cases I've read about on here, it seems to pretty much go unnoticed on drug panels after 3 to 7 days of not having anything at all. On the contrary, some diagnostics can still find it in your hair follicles for up to 90 days. But if this isn't a concern to you then I wouldn't sweat the time frame at all. I have been taking this medication and 100mgs of morphine plus alot of other meds for different reasons after a horrific car accident. I stopped the morphine bc I can't be a zombie I have disabled twins. It took awhile to get off the morphine. Now they wanna just stop giving Lortabs tens to me cold turkey. I have autistic twins to care for I have to be able to walk and stand up. Is there anything for pain they can give that will help? Ultram. And those drugs have bad affects on me.

are Lortabs still in use? My pharmicist said they were no longer made. ## The FDA has asked dr to no longer prescribe it with 500 mg acetaminophen but instead to use the mandated reduced 325 mg acetaminophen. The FDA has also asked pharmacists to contact the drs if a rx is written for the 500 mg before filling it. The hydrocodone and acetaminophen (Lortab, Vicodin, Norco) are still made. But, the amount of acetaminophen has been reduced. ## So can you take a Tylenol to get the same results since they lowered it to 325? I'm so used to the 500 and it just isn't the same ## Talk to your dr first. how does lortabs lok ## Most Lortabs like a big oval shape Has WATSON and a # on it...comes in colors (light blue, green, white, yellow, pink) ## Actually, there is now way to say for certain how Lortabs look, they are manufactured by many different pharmaceutical companies and there are no proprietary requirements for a certain drug has to look. The colors, shapes, and size can vary from manufacturer to manufacturer. Yes, as Andrea says, most are oval, but not all and they do not have to be oval to be Lortab and the do not have to come in any particular colors. The only FDA requirement for pills, other than quality codes, is that they must all have unique imprints for identification purposes. I was prescribed 40 lortabs and was instructed to take one every four to six hours. How many days supply is that? ## Hello, Erica! How are you? If you were instructed to take them regularly, then every 4 hours would make this almost a 7 day supply and every 6 hours would make it a 10 day supply. What does 10-5 mean on Lortabs? My prescription doesn't seem to be working for my pain and I was wondering if it meant Lortab 10 mg or Lortab 5 mg. So if it is 5 I can get a stronger MG ## What it seems to be is that your doctor was prescribing the tablets with 10mgs of Hydrocodone and 500mgs of Acetaminophen. I could be wrong, since I am not a medical professional, but I have seen it abbreviated this way before, from other similar posts. I have been on lortabs for about 10 years,i am going to try an just get off them cold turkey but i have been priscribed 10mg.of methadone to take 1 at night,my question is why cant i stop the lortab an then like day 2 of withdraw take a methadone an then maybe 1 or 2 more times during that week.I havent taken the methadone yet and i dont want to take it ,only a couple times to try an help with the tab withdraws,CAN THIS WORK? ## I understand your concern, because the Methadone itself can be highly addictive, so you don't want to just end up trading one medication for another.
