I just picked up my RX for generic Lortab and was told that lortab will no longer be made, I am a chronic pain sufferer and I have severe back pain along with severe nerve damage, I have been on this medicine for a while now and it works for me, now I have to ask my doctor about some other medicine that may or may not work. I dont know what else that I can use or tolerate. I need information on other types of medicines in this group. ## It will still be made. The tylenol will be lower but the hydrocodone will be in 5, 7.5 and 10 mg. Sometime in 2014 hydrocodone combination products will become Schedule II which means no refills, rx has to be written can't be called in, etc. They will still make it, it is too big of a money maker for the pharmaceutical companies. ## Hello, Vicki! How...

I was taking Lortab 10-325, went to my doc today and he gave me Lortab 10-500MG, what is the difference? Did I get a stronger pain pill or a weaker one?? ## The only difference is that one has 325 mg tylenol and the other one has 500 mg tylenol. The FDA made manufacturers not put more than 325 mg into the prescription combination medications effective Jan 2014.The FDA recently took steps to withdraw their approval for prescription medications that contain more than 325 mg tylenol. It won't be long before you won't be able to get any prescription drugs with more than 325 mg tylenol. Your dr may have just made a mistake. But, yo udo need to mention it to him when you see him again. Also effective Oct 6, 2014 Lortab will become a Schedule II medications and thee will be no refills,...

I just got a new Rx for lortab 10. There are 2 refills amortized. With the schedule change, this cannot b refilled, can it? ## Hello, Jan! How are you? The change does not go into effect until October 6th, so yes, the refills will no longer apply by the time you'd be ready to order one. This medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?

Trying to ID a pill, oblong, white, M357 ## The pill in description marked M357 is Acetaminophen + Hydrocodone bitartrate (500 mg - 5 mg). Acetaminophen + Hydrocodone is a combination of two types of pain medicine to treat moderate to severe pain. For more information about this drug, please refer to the link below... If you have any more questions or concerns, please post back and I will be happy to help you. ## Please help me identify a white cylinder-shaped pill with no markings- dimensions are 3/8 " x 1/4". In a clear plastic cylinder with blue caps on either end. Possibly belonged to a teenager. Thanks. Update - It was just a package of pencil eraser refills. A false alarm.

All Hydrocodone Combination medications will become a Schedule II meds Oct. 6, 2014. ## Hello, BL! How are you? Thank you for the very helpful post. It is correct. I recently received the notice about it. That means no more refills and its use will be much more strictly regulated. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Does anyone have any questions about this change?

I sit with a 73 year old lady. I take care of all her meds and refills. I thought she had a refill on file...long story short, she didn't. She is on 25 mg patches. Her patch was supposed to be changed this morning at 9 but they wont be ready til mnday morning. Should I give her as needed lortab to keep her out of withdrawal or will she be fine til Monday from Saturday? ## HI Cheryl, I believe that the lady you care for should be fine until Monday since it's only a couple days and there should still be some of the Fentynal medication in her system. However, if you she doesn't get the medication Monday she might experience some signs of withdrawal ie: nausea, vomiting, insomnia, headaches etc.. You may want to consider refilling her medications a week ahead of time just so you ...

I tried to check for assistance programs for these medications, but I didn't find anything listed. Are you getting the name brand or the generic? ## I'm having the same issue Walgreens all of a sudden they say they no longer have a contract with my insurance. But I got my f'in flu shot there this past year? They said its been years but I filled a regular Rx not long ago. I think the don't want the hassle of pain medication refills.
