How are you doing? Sorry about the problems that you're having. The reason they are different is because not every drug works for everyone. We are all different, so someone else may not be able to take the Lorcet, but the Percocet may work great for them. The most likely reason your doctor changed your prescription is because there is a shortage right now and the combination medications with higher amounts of Acetaminophen in them will no longer be available after the new year.
