Lorcet 10

I heard that they are going to stop making the lorcet 10mg. Is there any truth to this? ## Hello, Lauren! How are you? Not that I'm aware of, I've not seen anything stating such. They did, however, change it to a schedule 2 medication at the beginning of October, so it can no longer have refills. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. They did discontinue the ones with the higher amounts of Acetaminophen in them, due to the risks associated with its overdose, so you can only get dosages with a maximum of 325mgs per. Is there anything else I can help with?

I was taken off lortab10/650 and give the lortab 10/325.since then I have felt really bad..sleepy.no energy etc.has anyone else had a problem like this? ## This isn't as potent, since it has the lower dose of Acetaminophen in it, so you may be experiencing some minor withdrawal symptoms. How long have you been taking the new dose? Your body will usually adjust after a week or two.

My question is, how do I get my dr. To give me a higher mg.? I have really bad back problems and he gives me lorcet 5.5's. But they don't really help. I've asked for something, anything better but I don't know if he dosent believe me or what the problem is. It's hard to just be alive. And I don't know what to do. Any help? ## Just be honest with him tell him the 5's are'nt helping you anymore.I told my doctor my perk 10's were'nt helping me at all,she gave me 30mg roxies.Try it,all he or she can do,is ignore your request,i would try that, and if it did'nt work i would be finding me another pain clinic. ## What type of doctor are you seeing? If it's a general practitioner, then that may be the problem. They really aren't trained to handl...

I had been taking Lorcet 10/750 since '97. When the Norco came out, the doctor changed me to Percocet 10/325, but it really made me constipated, so I asked to be changed to Norco. It does not last long enough. I have severe migraines, RA, OA, Spinal Stenosis, Sciatica (both sides), herniated disc at L-7. The PA I see at my PPO, has told me Lorcet was discontinued totally, but now I find that Lorcet 10/325 is still available. I never had issues with the constipation while taking Lorcet, but do have it with the Norco. I am a caregiver to my 85 yr old Mom. I really would like to switch back to Lorcet. My kidney function is good, although the Norco does affect urination, sometimes hardly voiding any urine. What can I do in this case? Thanks for your time and have a Blessed Day... ## Bot...

I have been taking HYDROCO/APAP TAB 10-650 TH the description on the bottlte says "blue scored oblong tablet side 1: M361 Side 2: The pills I rec'd are a smaller oblong white pill with a large V on one side ane other side is scored with 35 on one side of score and 92 on other side of score. These do not give me any relief what does the description tell you? ## The V 3592 is acetaminophen/hydrocodone 500 mg/5 mg. ## That is correct, the tablets with the 3592 V marking are a lower strength, containing only 5mgs of the Hydrocodone and 500mgs of the Acetaminophen. Have you contacted your pharmacy about this? ## Yes I did contact the pharmacy twice and the pharmacist both times claimed that they were the 10/650 just a generic brand by a different drug company, thanks for your reply

What Is Better: Watson Lorcet 10 Or Norco10/325 - And What's The Difference? ## If the dosage is the same, then the only difference is who has manufactured it. Both contain Hydrocodone and Acetaminophen, the Hydrocodone is a narcotic pain reliever. Side effects may include: nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and constipation. Are there any other questions? ## my doctor had me on lorcet 10/650 and change to lorcet 10/325 what's the different are they the same?I had three back surgery ## The only difference is the amount of acetaminophen contained in each pill. The 10/650 dose contains 650 mg's of acetaminophen and the 10/325 dose contains, you guessed it, 325 mg's. He had to switch because the FDA does not allow doses of acetaminophen over 500 mg's per pill, in any pill, w...

taking 10/650 what is next ## If this does not work for pain control you may need to move onto oxycodone or brand name Roxicet, Percocet. They are usually next in line. If those don't work then onto morphine, oxycontin, or something like the duragesic patch. ## Yes, nenene is correct, that is the highest you can get in these types of drugs, unless you happen to live in an area that has a druggist who still does compounding, then your doctor can request that they make you capsules in a higher strength, but there are very druggists left that do that, so they are very hard to find. ## Thanks FDA for screwing up My Life I had no problems at all with the blue m361 hydocodone I have chronic back pain don't understand why u couldn'tjust put a warning label on if it bothers some peo...

What is the medication with these markings IP204? ## This tablet contains 10mgs of Oxycodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen, this combination could be considered a generic for either one, though many doctors refer to Lorcet as being the product that contains 650mgs of the Acetaminophen. This is a narcotic pain reliever, so it may cause side effects, such as: nausea, dizziness, dry mouth and constipation. Learn more: Is there anything else I can help with? ## My apologies, it's been one of those mornings. Lorcet would actually contain Acetaminophen and Hydrocodone, so the tablet you were asking about would be a generic for Percocet, because it contains Oxycodone and Acetaminophen. ## which is considered a stronger medication overall, Lorecet or Norco? I'm in withdrawal. how long does it take? ## There is no certain answer to this, it depends on how long you have been taking it and how much you have been taking. light green watson 503 ## This is generic Lorcet, Lortab, Vicodin. It has 10mg of hydrocodone, (addictive and strong narcotic pain killer), and 650mg of acetaminophen (Tylenol.) It is used for moderate to severe pain and can cause constipation, stomach aches, (especially if taken without food), euphoria, marked drowsiness, dizziness. ## A note that I want to add here is that as of 2013, the FDA has made a request that all manufacturers lower the amount of Acetaminophen in these combination prescription products to no more than 325mgs per dose. There are major concerns about the dangers of liver damage and failure that can be associated with long-term use of high amounts, as well as the toxicity of overdose. Some manufacturers have already begun to implement the change and the rest are e...

MY DOCTOR SAID THEY DONT MAKE LORCET 10/650 AND I HAVE BEEN ON THIS MEDICATION FOR SEVERAL YRS. WHAT SHOULD I DO OR IS IT TRUE ## Hello, Denise! How are you? Yes, it is true. Due to the risks of liver damage or failure that can be associated with long-term use of high amounts of Acetaminophen, plus the risks of overdose, the FDA requested that all manufacturers lower the amount of Acetaminophen in all combination prescription medications to no more than 325mgs per dose. Learn more Norco details here. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. What is the difference in the fillers of a white Watson hydrocodone 10/650 and blue qualitest10/650 with imprint m361 ## Hi Jack, From what I can tell, there's not really a big difference in the binders/fillers found in each of those medications. But perhaps enough to warrant a different reaction in some people who may have sensitivities to genetically modified ingredients, such as corn starch. Hopefully the lists below can help give you an idea of what you're actually putting in your body with either medication... The inactive ingredients contained in "M361" (10/650) are: crospovidone magnesium stearate cellulose microcrystalline povidones starch corn silicon dioxide stearic acid The inactive ingredients contained in "Watson 503" (10/650) are: anhydrous lactose ...

They're white in need to meke surr they are the right ones ## Hello, Jackie! How are you? What are the markings on them? That is what would enable me to identify them for you. However, you should be aware that the ones with 500mgs of Acetaminophen in them are no longer available on the U.S. market. The FDA classifies this mediation as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

I am wondering as far as strength and pain relief when comparing darvocet 5114 V to lorcet 10/650 as far as ingredients and side effects mainly ingredients ## The Darvocet is a much milder narcotic, it contains 650mgs of Acetaminophen and 100mgs of Propoxyphene, which is the mildest available. The Lorcet contains the Acetaminophen with Hydrocodone, which is much stronger. They are both narcotics, so the side effects are about the same and can include: nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and dry mouth. You can read more about them here: Do you have any other questions?

I'm using Percocet right now and they aren't helping me much anymore, would Lorcet be a good pain killer to switch to ? ## it takes 15mgs of perocet to provide the same relief as 10 mgs of hydrocodone ## Percocet contain Oxycodone, and Acetaminophen, while Lorcet contains Hyrocodone with Acetaminophen. Oxycodone is stronger than Hydrocodone, so Lorcet may not work as well for pain, but it can vary from person to person. The FDA warns that these medications carry the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation.
