What is the difference from a Lorazepam with a rx 7 on it from one with a M 321 on it? ## From what I can tell the only difference between these two pills is that they are manufactured by different companies. Additionally the inactive ingredients can slightly differ from one another. Other than that, these are both the same drug and same dosage. Hi, I've been taking lorazepam 0.5 mg once a day for 16yrs. Now my doctor wants me to wean off it, but I'm having a hard time. ## What tapering/weaning method have you been using? Generally, the modern preferred method is to gradually reduce the dose, while spacing doses further and further apart. Stopping too abruptly may create the risk of seizures, according to FDA reports. Are you on any other medications? ## David, I'm sorry to hear about your struggle. Unfortunately it has become a very common complaint with the tightening Restrictions imposed on this class of drug. Although your dose is minimal the length of time will require a very deliberate titration and taper schedule. I would suggest you research the Weismann method for benzodiazepine detoxification. I know from ...

I been taking lorazepam 1 mg white small round, soft and sweet tasting. I think these are meant to be taken sublingualy. I just got some that were crushed up but they were bitter. Anyone heard of bitter tasting lorazepam? White in color and not soft? ## Hi jessie, After seeing a number of comments from other users, I think the taste largely depends on which manufacturer you get. Most of the reviews I've come across state that they also had a extremely bitter or chalky taste in their mouth after having certain brands. While others have somewhat of a sweet taste. Perhaps one or more of the inactive ingredients that make up the tablet's composition, could be more prominent in a particular batch. That's just one theory anyway. Do you know which company it is who makes the bitter...

Hi, I have taken Lorazepam since 1990's off and on again, I hate to say these Cyril 2mg Lorazepam are not worth a spec of a 1mg. I was very sad they were so bad. I am not sure they are real. I even know how they taste- All Brands. These are vey bad meds if they are medication ## Hi Troy, Sorry to hear about your experience with this brand of Lorazepam. From what I could gather, Cyril Pharmaceuticals is actually listed as an Ayurvedic company on google. So I'm not sure if they have any sort of reputation for producing pharmaceutical products, despite their name. This company is also based out of India where quality control isn't regulated nearly as much as the FDA with regards to the manufacturer's integrity. And because this brand isn't available in the U.S., nor lis...

Has anybody taken this medicine which is a generic for Ativan manufactured in India? ## The drug brand named Lori (2 mg) is said to be manufactured by Cyril Pharmaceuticals. Just to clear up any confusion, it's not a generic for Ativan; just another brand name. Ativan is also a brand name. Lorazepam is the generic name. I personally haven't tried this brand, but others here on the site have mentioned that it is very weak in comparison to the US counterpart. There's nothing inherently wrong with purchasing meds from India, but from the reviews I've read, many people are complaining about the potency and overall efficacy not being up to par with US drugs. Would you agree with that? You can learn more about this drug on the page for Lorazepam Details I hope this helps! ## I...

I was taking Watson for sometime. It did the trick with my anxiety. When I went for a refill they gave me Excell. It does not do it for me, only zonks me. The pharmaceutical companies buying and selling other pharmaceuticals the druggist can't keep up with them. I telephoned some local pharmacies also mom and pop pharmacies. You guessed, Excell. ## Unfortunately, the generic any pharmacy has in stock can change regularly, depending on what company is offering the cheapest price through their distributor when it is time to restock their supply. Next month, everyone might have the medication available from another completely different company. The FDA warns that Lorazepam carries the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, irritabi...

This month when I picked up my scrip for Lorazepam I was given a small white round pill with 59 and a half moon shape on one side and scored on the other side. I use lorazepam for insomnia and I feel like this pill has no medication in it. I have been on it for enough time to know what this medication does, I know what it feels like and these do nothing! Has anyone else had this problem with this brand? ## Hello, Caylah! How are you? How long have been taking this one? There can be some slight fluctuations from one generic to another, but your body will adjust after a week or so. Alternatively, if it's causing a serious problem, then you can talk to your doctor about just prescribing the name brand, so the pharmacy can no longer give you a generic.

How often should I be taking it? ## Depending on the dosage form (I.V. or tablet) and what you're taking it for, the instructions for dosing and administration can vary greatly. So unfortunately I can't really tell you how often or how much you should be taking without those details. Usually this is something you would want to ask your doctor as he or she prescribes you the medication. You can learn more about this drug on the page for Lorazepam Details If you can please post back with any additional information that would be great!

does product help with anxiety ## @buckedon1, The answer to your question is yes - Lorazepam is in a class of drugs called benzodiazepines, which are commonly prescribed for treating anxiety, depression, and insomnia. You can learn more about this drug on the page for Lorazepam Details I for one don't think the benefits of drugs like Lorazepam outweigh the possible sides and withdrawal symptoms associated with long term or frequent use. But I think it's also important to remember that not everyone responds to these types of medications in the same way...whereas in some cases, certain individuals may find that Lorazepam works better or worse than various other treatment modalities. Hope this helps!

I have been trying to get Sandoz Lorazepam, and finally after three months I found a drugstore that actually cares about people, Bath Drugstore in Bath, Pa. they are the best. They didn't tell me that they didn't carry Sandoz, they told me...Tell us what you need and we will order it for you...GOD BLESS THEM..... ## Hi Marjorie, Even though it took some time, I'm happy to hear that you were able to get your prescription filled from a reliable pharmacy. It seems like finding one like that is considered to be somewhat rare now-a-days, especially with all the strict regulations that have been put in place by the DEA over the past few years. I would encourage you to stay with them as long as you're able to. Not many others out there seem to have it together enough to make th...

I came across a scary situation the other day that i think most people on lorazepam might be interested in. I take 1.5 mg of lorazepam a day, have been so for 30 years. My doctor has never mentioned any problems with my medication. Then last week i got a call from her that was frantic and uncontrollable, she kept repeating i have to wean down my dosage and kept repeating if you take oxycodone i could die. It was clear that she wasn't listening to one thing i was telling her. Today i called my family doctor to see what's going on with the DEA and he told me that recently they are looking at prescriptions over 1 mg. My first thought is i should get a new doctor. The conversation with the first doc, my shrink, was as unprofessional as i have ever had and if i don't have to ever...

Used to taking Watson Lorazepam Actavis Lorazepam not effective! ## Hi sylvia, When you switch brand names or manufacturers the drug itself doesn't change, but rather the binders or fillers that they put with it. For this very reason, I believe the differences you are noticing have a lot to do with certain "inactive" ingredients that may or may not be present in each brand. I'm frustratingly surprised that doctor's and pharmacists don't mention this to their patients, after giving them a completely different script without prior notice. Have you tried discussing this issue with your doctor yet? Hopefully he can specify a manufacturer for you in the script.

I was taking Ranbaxy for almost 3 years and was just fine. No anxiety and no side effects. Then about a month and a half ago I started getting anxiety. Found out CVS changed to Mylan brand. I found I could get one more month's supply of Ranbaxy but at the two mg strength. Was a problem with dosage amount because I had to quarter the tablets. They cut in half nicely but the quartering was always unequal. I read this board and knew to stay away from Mylan, Watson and Santos (sp?) So I called around to the mom and pop pharmacies and found one that carried Excellium. I had read very little about Excellium on the forum but the pharmacist said he had been selling it for 10 years and never had a complaint. Scared to death, I transferred my two remaining refills to this place. I've been...

I was wondering what is the different between Watson and sandoz mfg. I take 0.5 lorazepam and I got a refill my medicine looks different. ## Hello, Dee! How are you? That is the only difference, the manufacturers. Once a medication is available as a generic, it is usually made by several different companies and whichever one your pharmacy carries at any given time, will depend on who was offering the cheapest price at the time they needed to restock their supply. This medication carries the risk of being habit forming and could cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache and irritability. Is there anything else I can help with?

I’ve been on 1-1 1/2 mg of Lorazepam for about a year and a half. I'm tying to taper off and looking for a safe reduction process. A couple of weeks ago I had tapered down to 1/2 -3/4 mg and ran out. I couldn’t even get out of bed. Heart racing, stomach knotted a total mess. My Dr office told me it was withdrawal and just wanted me to ride it out but eventually gave me a 2 week refill. My neighbor had to pick it up for me as I was basically incapable. This didn’t feel safe for me so I called a couple of RN friends with experience in the field and a friend who is a retired addiction counselor of 30 years. They all told that what my Dr initially said was very bad advice and dangerous and that I would need a 6-8 taper schedule of 25% every 2 weeks. I’m sure I...
