Lorazepam Patch

Can morphine and Scopolamine Lorazepam be mixed for a 70 year old man with terminal cancer? ## I looked up these medications myself and could not find any indications for why they could not be used together! From what I have read, the one medication of course is for pain and the other is a patch that is worn behind the ear which is given to help alleviate nausea ..... however I am not in the health care field whatsoever and you really should be calling the doctor if these medications were not proscribed to him by the doctor that is treating him! I would not have answered at all except that I felt the need to say something under the circumstances! Know that there are many of us that care dearly for one another and I am praying for you all! Seven years of back pain with long history of muscle relaxant and more recently oxycodone and lorazepam. Docs finally did MRI and found Spondylolisthesis Grade 3-4 with bulging disc and appears vertebrae have already fused. Still being worked up by Neuro surgeon. Pain mgmt. just switched me from 10mg Vicodin every 4 hrs to 25mcg Fentanyl patch every 3 days with 7.5 Vicodin every 6-8 hrs for breakthrough. Started patch last week. First seemed to work okay but over the last two patches breakthrough pain has increased with increased pain down my legs. I get sweats then chills with pain in all my joints, arms, legs, hands, feet. I have been on every pain med there is. I am now on fentanyl patches and I use oxycodone as a break through med. I also use lorazepam to help with the anxiety. I have been suffering with massive headaches where I get the feeling the my brain is spinning inside my head. I am wondering if it could be because I change my fentanyl patch to late. Can someone please help me? I am very desperate for an answer. I am starting to feel like I am going crazy. ## What dosage of Lorazepam do you take and how often do you take it? I have suffered chronic pain from miserably failed back surgery and also have fibromyalgia. I have been in PM since 1994 and had to scratch my way through the medicine cabinet along with submitting to a kazillion different tests, therapy, the works. I wear 100mcg fentanyl patches, take 10/325 Norco for breakthrough pain, 6 mg tizanidine four times a day, 100mg trazadone at bed and bupropion 150 SR twice a day. I also suffer depression when my pain goes uncontrolled. I cannot take Cymbalta, Lyrics, gabapentin, desipramine, and SSRIs do NOTHING for me.
