white round 57 ## I JUST WANT TO KNOW WHAT THIS DRUG IS USUALLY PRESCRIBED FOR. ## It is for anxiety and panic attacks ## Some doctors will also prescribe it for off label uses, such as sleep problems and etc. ## I am 87 yrs old and have bee using lorazapan for sleeping for a long time what are the dangers of taking it so long and what are the efects of taking it.

my question is I was on lorazapan for anxiety but the drowsiness got me in trouble is their any anxiety medication that won't cause drowsiness. I told my Dr. not to prescribe it for me anymore. My question is, I need something, is their anything else I can take. ## Hello, Eileen! How are you? I'm very sorry about the problem you've had. You may do better with one of the SSRI antidepressants that can be used to treat anxiety, such as Prozac or Zoloft. They've both been successful at helping many people with anxiety, but since you take them all the time, your body gets used to the medications and the side effects, such as drowsiness, wear off after a few weeks. Other side effects may include nausea, dry mouth and weight changes. Is there anything else I can help with?

I take prescribed oxycodone 5mg with v on one side and 48/10 on the other. Tonight I think I took two at the same time by mistake instead of my usual 1 mg lorazapan for sleep. Instead of drowzy i feel nausous a little dizzy and too alert. is this normal and will it pass?
