I have high blood pressure and I am taking loprin 75. Is it right? Note: I used to be a drug addict - i.e. morphine (opiates). ## Did your doctor tell you to take this? From what I can find, it is listed as containing Aspirin, which is used for blood thinning and heart health, but will not help lower blood pressure. Its typical side effects are listed as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased risk of bleeding, and stomach irritation. Are you on any other medications?

so far ny wife is prescribed : TG TOR 20 mg 1 tab/day Deplatt 20 mg 1 tab/day Coversyl Plus 1 tab/day Depin Retard 20 mg 1 tab/day she had a partial block in left Carotid vain. but yesterday, we received: LOPRIN 75 mg for Depin Retard and ZOSTA 10 mg for TG TOR. are they ok? ## Loprin is a low dose aspirin to slow clotting of the blood ## Yes, that is odd. Depin Retard contains the active ingredient Nifedipine, which is an anti-anginal medication and the Lopin is, as Donna said, Aspirin, used as a blood thinner. They are not interchangeable. The TG TOR contains Atorvastatin and the Zosta contains Simvastatin, they are in the same class of medications and are used to lower cholesterol, so switching from one to the other here isn't really a problem. Who made the switch? Was it ordered...

I am using Loprin 75 for the last 5 years. I am also using Lisinopril/HCTZ 20 mg ( for blood pressure) and Lipitor 20 mg (for Chloesterol) regularly. In USA Aspirin (NSAID) is available in 81 mg. Can I use this in place of Loprin 75 mg. ?? ## Hello Qamar, Based on my research there are potentially unsafe interactions between Aspirin and Lisinopril/HCTZ. I have been suffering from varicose veins for the last 7 years and I have undergone radio frequency ablation in the year 2010 (October). From that period onwards, I have developed numbness in both legs and now-a-days, almost all nights I am getting cramps on both my legs. Also, when I go to get out of bed, both of my legs feel like logs of wood, though I am with very great difficulty still able to get up from my bed. Many times I am getting pain on the outer side of both legs from the ankle up to my knee. Can I use Loprin 75mg for relief? Please advise.

For past 10 years , I am advised to take Loprin 75 , twice a day. However , for a fortnight this medicine is out of stock in all close by shops. What alternate medicine can be suitable. My father has been taking Ecosprin 150, 1 tab daily for the last 7 years. Would like to know if Loprin 75 is an alternative. ## They both contain the same active ingredient, Aspirin, which in these dosages, is most commonly used for its blood thinning properties. The only difference would be the dosage, going down from 150mgs to 75mgs. What has his doctor suggested? I wouldn't recommend making a switch, without their approval. Do you know why he was put on this medication? ## I was taking ECOSPRIN 150. Now I have been prescribed Loprin 7.5. Is there any reason for the change ?
