rash from drug interreaction

My husband has added drugs for congestive heart failure in the last few months. He has developed a rash. the dermotolist ,after a biopsy say it is a drug interreaction. the new drug are digoxin,furosmide,xarelto,potassium cl re. He has been on lopresser.avodart,ramipril and crestor for years with no side effects. The dermotiligist also prescribed prednisone,which did stop the rash, but once he stopped using it, the rash returned. Is prolonged use of Prednisone harmful?
